S3ND.PIcs is a modern image sharing platform designed for creators, artists, and photographers to showcase their work and connect with their audience. We believe in providing a simple, fast, and secure platform for visual content sharing. Our goal is to empower creators with the tools they need to share their work and build their community.

Boy, I loved the modal dialog pushing me to register deciding to scroll me back to the top of the feed when I dismissed it.
Waterfall layout is a computational nightmare, and image data returned by the async requests should include image dimensions so the waterfall view can render before the GETs for images can get image dimensions - It'll speed page rendering, fix the layout so it's not getting super fucky and re-sorting constantly.

Definitely has the potential! Just came back from S3ND. Definitely worth checking out. Just needs more people to post more stuff.
My only criticism is that when I view a post and go back. It starts me back to the top and I need to find where I left off.

My issue with it right now is that, despite all the various filters, if you enable nsfw it's essentially a porn site.
And I have been around long enough on the internet to know that these sites can't successfully attract and hold a mixed audience of people. Which in turn is a necessity to have an inclusive community like Imgur became.

You want nsfw content, that's fine. It actually encourages healthy conversation. But porn always becomes commercialized one way or another. No way around it. Eventually professionals will just start publishing their content there themselves.
The bigger problem with the community on s3nd right now is that it not only goes all-in on this, but also posts all these pictures and clips without crediting the models and creators. Another thing that made Imgur stand out from other platforms like 9gag.

Here's the current Content Settings you can tweak for your own account, and these have already changed several times based on userbase feedback, with additional changes currently being reviewed. You can also contribute to the roadmap if you think there is a feature that is missing

There are detailed options within the nsfw toggle that let you turn individual types on and off, and a robust tagging system that you can use to filter anything out you want to avoid, both by tag and by user. In addition, we've been pretty open in our community discussions about ensuring inclusivity and a focus on OC rather than just dumps of random NSFW content, which many of us don't particularly care for, and TBH you can filter like... three usernames and 95% of it disappears.

I just did a test and counted up to 20 NSFW posts for the start of newest then counted backwards from that and counted over 250 normal posts, so it’s not looking too bad lol
