Second semester! Japanese school meal day 1

Here's today's menu:

Super chewy chunk of pork(?), not very flavourful

Miso soup with tofu, sweet potato, carrot, and spring onion, nice and comforting

White rice with furikake (salt, seaweed, flavour granules, and bonito flakes, the previous contents of the pink sachet)

Radish, burdock, and carrot strips with mushrooms. One of my favourite Japanese side dishes

Milk in a glass bottle (200ml)

This meal gets... 8/10. Perfect rainy day food (it's been drizzling and grey for several days and will be until Tuesday, also my favourite type of weather). Points off because the pork was pretty chewy and I prefer to cut up my meat with a spoon rather than gnaw on it. To each their own I guess?

For those who don't know, I'm an assistant language teacher in Japan. I get to eat the school meals as part of my job. Some days the food is hard to identify. Today's project! This is incomplete, but kept me very entertained most of the day. For those of you who can write Japanese, yes I know my handwriting and letter placement leaves something to be desired. For those that can't read Japanese it says "please wear a mask" and is aimed at my elementary school students so I didn't use kanji.
Yes, one of my students did try wearing his mask like on the right-hand side.

Next I will be colouring the masks in blue. Any and all suggestions welcome! I'll be making more too in the future :)
