I usually get a headache when watching 3d movie, and yes, I have glasses.

3d movies make me dizzy. hate them

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3d movies often give me migraines as the glasses fit badly & the 3d experience is incomplete. I'm sensitive to light movement as a trigger.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Screen is too dark for 3D, I always fall asleep

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. And wrong meme

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've got a lazy eye and the 3D effect never works for me. And I get motion sick so all the swooping and zooming makes me sick

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You and literally everyone else

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

agreed, its the idea that makes a good movie

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jeezus, I get a head ache when I watch them... Probably due to the fact I wear glasses. Wearing those 3d ones over them for 2 hours blows.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Confession: I can't see in 3D.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm the same but my exception for this was Dr. Strange

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed. What a treat

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree 100% 3D is just a gimmick for charging higher prices. Also, Unpopular Opinion Puffin fer chrissakes

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

actually its a gimmick to allow them to sell in China https://www.theguardian.com/world/2012/feb/20/china-eases-import-quota-hollywood-films

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would normally tend to agree, but I saw Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in 3D and it was glorious.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah i thought so 2 it was my first time watching a movie in 3d and would def pick 3d again

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

So does everyone else?

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

yup

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

there are dozens of us ..... dozens!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

3D looks good to me. Only reason to go to a cinema now. Pity it is so hard on some eyes.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

3D films used to have loads of image errors that caused these headaches. Nowadays they are mostly fixed - many people avoid 3D for nothing.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I do too.. Because my brain refuses anything 3d.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Extra $10?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Only 3 where I live

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don't think anyone charges $10 extra to see 3D because it wouldn't make any business. OP is a liar.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

It could be 10 just depends where u live it's 8 bucks extra at my cinema

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of my depth perceptions is fucked, so I can't even see 3D movies.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just one of them?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just one of them?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just one of them?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Gravity" would not have been the same movie if it wasnt in 3D

9 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 6

Avatar, obviously. And Ready Player One as well

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

First and only 3D movie in an IMAX theater. Pretty cool, but no real desire to see another one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nothing could have fixed that goddamn writing though

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is the only movie I'm glad I saw in 3D.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dr Strange was awesome in 3D

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

same here, 3D sometimes hurt my eyes thats why

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I got good news for you - headache issues should be fixed in nowadays 3D films. Studios nowadays hire stereographers who remove headache +

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

+causing image errors from the film. They also guide how to composite the image so that it will work properly as 3D. Huge difference to 2012

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

that doesnt seem to matter, i went to watch doctor strange in 3D hurt my eyes still

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

ah eye strain, but did u get headaches? Unaligned 3D images are what caused those. Nowadays they use programs to find them on film & fix thm

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I much prefer 3D to 2d when it adds to the experience, cause you are seeing it the way the film makers intended for you to see it.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

If it's a 2D film, filmmakers intented it to be seen as 2D. Proper 3D films have different rules that they have to obey at cinematography.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here.

9 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 0

The vast majority of '3D movies' are not shot in 3D, and have an artist draw a depth map in post. Shot in 3D is another story.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually prefer the ones converted to 3D. Too many movies still use 3D as a gimmick and have things jump out just for the sake of using 3d

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a 3D film Mad Max was intentionally shot as 2D and converted to 3D in post. It worked perfectly

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I already wear glasses, 3D is a pain in the ass.

9 years ago | Likes 330 Dislikes 1

Yeah I get headaches sometimes :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have to get them just right so the sit on top if my glasses and I never see any 3D shit anyway. Total garbage.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I feel yor pain, brother

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a lazy eye with a horrible prescription in that eye, i feel ya

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My eyesight sucks to the point where I can't see 3D anymore

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm over in South Korea and they have awesome clip-on 3-D glasses. It makes me sad America doesn't have them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Same here. Fuck 3D. It's a distraction. They tried it in the 50s and the 70s and it didn't work.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll do you one better; I have prisms in mine for double vision. 3D movies are a fucking NIGHTMARE to deal with.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Diagnosed stereo blind myself.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yesss. Watched iron man 3 in 3D had to leave after 1st 10 mins because of nausea. Watched the rest of the movie in blur vision...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That, and last time I used 3D glasses I got a fucking stye on my eye.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ditto

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Truth, brother.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our imax has a set of 3D glasses that fit over my normal glasses. It was really nice, but 3D still isn't worth it for me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The 3D glasses are painful to wear along with regular glasses, very few movies is worth it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Weird, never bothered me. Maybe I have smaller frames.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a damaged eye so 3D just hurts

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I feel your pain. Right eye is completely blind, so 3D is just like regular film except with more squinting and headaches.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What happened, if you don't mind? Mine was a pencil in 8th grade, shot from a rubber band. Still have some vision but not for long.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Bad luck and stupidity, I'm afraid. Genetic defect in eye shape put too much pressure on my retina, and when it inevitably detached (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was young and stupid enough to think it would deal with itself. It was a lazy eye from birth so no one knew 'til a month later. (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I paid good money to never have to wear glasses again, so paying more money to have to wear them again just irritates me.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Lasik? How is it now? How's the night driving without glasses?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lasik? How is it now? How's the night driving without glasses?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I got mine 7 years ago, and I still have perfect vision! Seriously, best money I've ever spent. No night-driving issues at all.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had LASIK. Night driving is no issue for me. Been 18 years and presbyopia is setting in. Starting to need reading glasses. :P

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have double vision. 3D gives me a massive headache.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

OMFG YES! Having 3D glasses over my glasses makes me nauseous and they always fall down...

9 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I just put in contact lenses whenever I go to see a 3D film. :]

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not everyone can afford contacts

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not everyone can afford contacts

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know, I have a box of them to wear for special occasions. If you can afford the cinema, you can likely afford a few contacts.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Glasses are free with insurance? That's pretty classist.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

3d movies can rot in hell. I know of nobody who prefers them to normal "don't give me a headache or make me nauseous" cinema

9 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 6

My family saw Moana in 3D. It was breathtaking.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Me, got a 3d tv. Better than cinema 3d since it actively adjusts for each scene. I like the added depth

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

They were cool as a kid but they lost their luster. Especially forced 3d scenes because they look idiotic when you're watching the standard.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I enjoy them. Won't go out of my way to make sure I watch in 3d though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By the time my eyes adjust, I don't even notice the 3D any more. I wish this gimmick would go away.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've started getting nauseous in 2D versions of 3D movies. I don't know what it is.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You should evolve to the next phase human

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Avatar, Gravity, and Dr. Strange were all worth the extra to see in Imax 3d. Any other movie I saw I would do 2d. I also go early, so it >

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Generally is only $8 for it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If they're filmed in 3d, I love them. If they're digitally converted, fuck them.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Conversion is ok if they shot the film as 3D in mind. Mad Max 3D was done in this way. Possibly the best 3D I've seen at cinemas.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I get double vision or else I would probably love it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3D films caused headaches when the productions didn't use stereographers - their job is to make sure there are no headache causing 3D-images

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SOME movies were better in 3D. . . Avatar for one... can't think of others.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

My Body Valentine

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Doctor Strange was pretty cool in 3D but it's not necessary.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Avatar is a terrible movie without the visuals. It is passable with them

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yup, Avatar, Gravity, and Dr. Strange was worth it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Gravity was great in 3D, don't think it would have been without.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Priest was cool at the time. The way the ash in the city fell was excellent for atmosphere.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I prefer 3D

9 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 10

me 3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too, Doctor Strange was mind-blowing in 3D

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yes!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Liar

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 8

No, just weird.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Me too.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too. Saw Avatar in non 3d, took a lot away imo

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Avatar is the only movie that has made an impression on me in 3D, wish more were like it

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Dude avatar was fucking amazing in 3d. I caught myself dodging arrows at least 3 times!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

most people feel this way, also wrong meme.

9 years ago | Likes 145 Dislikes 7

Most by what statistic?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair I didn't learn this til I started working at a theater

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3D has come a long way, they learned not to overdo it, just a tiny bit of 3D effect so your eyes don't get strained.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The first 3D films where shot like 2D films - that's a big nono. 3D requires different composition and longer cuts than 2D. They know it now

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's still an unnecessary gimmick. You don't get anything out of seeing it in 3D, regardless of how well they do it.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I liked it in doctor strange. :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another big change is that they didn't properly check films for 3D errors - those caused the headaches in first 3D films. Nowadays they do

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

for me its the fact that i have to wear stupid glasses that in some cases make the film look worse and i hardly notice any 3d effects.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So why would I pay extra for "just a tiny bit"of 3d. I'm paying a 3d surcharge and it's not even a mostly 3d Movie?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

lol I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Because it's done to taste so the effect is actually significant
