This was posted like a month ago, so here it is if people missed it

When I was young, I was also scared of the vacuum. So my childhood dog and I would both be up on the couch, watching the enemy vigilantly.

I attempted suicide in October of 2013 and woke up in my bathroom vomiting blood. My Siamese was by my side when I came to. Cats know things

Courage is being scared to death, but saddling up anyway. (John Wayne)

I had a dog named Charlie, he attacked me as a toddler. Pierced my lip for me.

My grandpa's dog attacked me once. By that I mean it grabbed and dragged me by my collar out of the way of my Grandpa's car. He never saw me

My hamster Jello furnished me with anecdotes about his psychotic hatred of basically everything, including me. He once bit a fucking dog.

That's adorable, I could see a faithful companion doing this.

Why is she unpaid?

Asking the real questions.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a rare occasion that humans even show a shred of that level of loyalty for another person.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did see it the first time it was posted. But I may have a policy of always upvoting Charlie. He's truly heroic.

I've seen this before, and every time I always think to my self, "This is really well written."

What did we do? Bred them over thousands of years to have a mutually beneficial symbiotic relationship with us. But yes they are wonderful.

When I was 8 a black widow bit me. Doctors said I could of died that day. I thank that little spider for sending me to the hospital that day

My dad got my mom a puppy when I was born to be my dog and he was so protective over me he would always sit beside me and bite at my 1/2

My grandparents as well as aunts and uncles especially when I was in my carrier thing. I wish he could meet my other best dog friend now :(

I feel bad because sometimes I'd shoo him away and I hope to god he knows that I regret every second I didn't spend with him and love him

I remember my grandma gave Nova (my lab) a tupper with food, grandma has severe joint problems so she threw the thing in the ground 1/?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

And her thought was to later tell my dad to pick it up, but Nova for some reason knew she couldnt lift it and picked it up the floor 2/?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And gave it to her after the quick meal. She was in tears... Nova is the best I love her so much

Thanks, first time I have seen it!

We don't deserve dogs

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

You spelled I wrong

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear." We don't deserve them

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

I'm not sure what you did to not deserve pets, buddy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

God I cannot stand that question. WE MADE THEM TO BE OUR PERFECT COMPANION

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

...and now sometimes our IMPERFECT companion, by breeding them with horrendous health problems. In that sense we do not deserve dogs, 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2: but I have to agree, the whole "What did we ever do to deserve them?" mindset is incredibly irritating and an A-over-T thought process.

That dog looks both so comfortable and so tired of your shit at the same time. I love it.

My cat helped me recover from Depression and being suicidal when I was 10... And another cat of mine greets me when I come home and (1)

follows me on the track... Another cat we had shortly came to us when she was dying despite being terrified of humans. She let us hold (2)

things because we obviously are horrible hunters and would starve without them. (5)

Screw you for making me come up with a reason I was crying on the toilet. Now all my coworkers think I can't handle hot sauce. +1

8 years ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 7

You don't need to be heartless, just learn to use your heart less.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Is that like work smarter not harder for sociopaths?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Sociopaths lack empathy, so it is not. Someone that can use their heart is not a sociopath, they may only be sociopathic at most.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Also, my opinion is that working smarter is at least sometimes just working harder.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Prove them wrong. Take a pack of hotsauce, open it and sniff it completely up in one go. Maintain eye contact. Watch them tremble in fear.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Why were your coworkers with you in the toilet?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

dude, just show them this micro-story about charlie the dog bravely protecting the baby. SHOW THEM

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 1

My 2 year old son was terrified of dogs, shaking w/ fear, but when a dog came at his little baby sister, he stood in between the dog & her.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Is your son a vacuum cleaner?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He's 18 now and you should see him eat. So...yes, he sort of is.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Whoa. That's some early onset bravery! My 2yo would happily feed me to the wolves for a handful of gummy bears.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

He screamed, "the dog is going to get the baby!" In a panicky voice. Was a big GSD and I honestly was scared of him, too. Not a nice dog.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"What did we ever do to deserve dogs?" Lots and lots of domestication.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

I love my dog but I'm tired of the dog worship. They're awesome, yes. Angels, no.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Thankyou

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ah, but it's accepted that we only did that after they started helping on our hunts of their own free will. So they started out awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My dog protected my brother and I from a pack of coyotes when I was a child. I didn't realize how dangerous the situation was at 8 yrs old.

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Coyotes attack ppl? We don't have them back so please excuse my ignorance

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Very rarely, but small kids, I believe. As a kid, I was nearly attacked by a growling opossum, an animal that supposedly never does that.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Kinda. Usually Rong place Rong time. If it happens put ur hands in the air and yell real loud. Even a pack will back down. Usually

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My dog protected me, not I. But that must've scary AF for a kid.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Thanks.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oops. *me and my brother*

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's bravery. We lost a few good cow dogs to coyote's.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

"Cow dogs"? Pictures, please.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I bet you were trying to picture it in your head..... how cow dogs are 'made'. Admit it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sorry, they're all non-digital in an album at the parents house. Google Blue Heeler Border Collie mix if you need a hit.

Adorable but deadly animals vid, worth a watch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8OV4y55DlKY

Charlie... HE'S DEAD! OKAY!? It was a long time ago

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I hope not, reinforcing fearful behaviour would be a huge disservice to the dog.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Sadly no. Eventually charlie made his last stand, held off vacuum while baby made his escape. As he was sucked up he said "bark you fool!"

Shit for a moment I thought this was going Hodor mode

Sadly most don't think of the mental abuse animals are put through everyday. Like blowing smile in a pets face "to get them high" or trying

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

To intimidate the animal or yell at it when it has done nothing wrong. People shouldn't do anything to a pet that they wouldn't do to a kid!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What if they're a pedophile?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Corrected NORMAL people shouldnt do anything 2 a pet that they wouldnt do 2 a kid. Also in the original post I hope ppl kno I ment smoke lol
