Rambler Classic sedan 660. Looks like a 1964

Shouldn’t that be, LUV 2 GO?

The Mercedes S580. MSRP around $250K.

1st generation Jeep Grand Cherokee, the ZJ, manufactured 1993-1998. Very clean example.

VW Jetta, 3rd generation: manufactured 1992-1998. Pretty nice for 30 years old.

#3 is HOT

Chevelle or 442. I couldn't care less about the others.

The Jetta is a 98. You can tell by the antenna on the roof... They were up on the hood every year prior to that. VW has a habit of putting their next gen car items on the final current production style since the 99 Jettas came standard with them. That Jetta though was pretty solid and got me all over the country.

I had a new 1976 442, last year it was produced with an Oldsmobile engine before they switched to a Chevy one. That car hauled ass

My first car was a Rambler Classic 660 4-door, powder pink.

If you were in Reno this week you literally see a thousand of them. Hot August Nights festival brings in everything with a motor and wheels including tons of beautifully restored classics.

the 442 is my dream car.

My uncle David had a Chevelle that was bright green and what a muscle care it was. It was his baby until he got married. I miss him.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hahaha , admiring the muscle cars , scrolling down , I reach the last one. I’VE OWNED A JETTA ! Only blue.

Burlingame sporting some iron!

My Lottery dream car would be that Rambler. With a Coyote motor stuffed in the engine bay. Pro touring style.

Can't see cars as anything but a masculinity status symbol these days. They're nice to look at, but they represent fucking up the species through climate change, and just not caring.

I know, we luv em but yr right.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of those cars are spotted ☹️

I hope people here can appreciate the cleanliness/straightness of the body lines on the older rigs. That shit is not easily, or cheaply, done.

#3 looks like a 66 Chevelle, I restored a rag top 66 Chevelle years ago, cherry red, side pipes great looking car, guy who bought it lost it in a divorce. It rotted out in a field.

69. 66 is what I call a three-box body style, with gorgeous flying buttresses on the B pillars. First one is a 69 Cutlass 442. My dad has a 69 cutlass S, and I've got a highly modified 72 Chevelle. I love these old cars so much..

Ikr, I've got a 2014 2ss cameo Vert, I'm planning on keeping it long term. It's not the same, But it's much safer than a classic in a accident.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s a nice ’69. ’66 is a little bit boxier.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yep

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That ranks somewhere between Old Yeller and Marley & Me for most depressing story ending

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yeah, now on the upside, my every day driver is a 2014 convertible Camaro 2ss. The kid has picked up my love of Convertibles, one of the few positive things from my childhood. So she helps me keep it clean and work on it.

That 442, such a bad ass car, 4 barrel carb, 4 speed manual trans, and dual exhausts.

...Meyerhoff lifters....

I was in Burlingame recently and didn't see it... I should visit again

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Please? Do. That's a major photographic filter on a major sunny day, but still? That finish. Unless I'm totally fanning, and that is actually a Instagram-style filter? Dunno. Love to know. Meanwhile, please visit again!

#2 my first car! 69 Chevelle with 2 different colors of primer lolol

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But if you grow up in Jersey, your auto shop friends fix it for ya

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun fact, the Jetta was /is really unpopular, unusual in Germany. Golf was /is the topseller.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup. Americans like sedans more than Europeans do. Europeans like hatchbacks and wagons more than Americans do. It’s a matter of taste and culture.

My immediate thought on #1 but Im not huge into cars soooo... maybe?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Err. Sorry. #3

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#3 is Chevrolet Chevelle, probably -69 model. Dean's Baby is Chevrolet Impala -67, easiest way to tell the difference between Chevelle and Impala is the number of doors. Chevelle has only two doors while the Impala has 4. I'm sure Dean would still approve.

Thanks for the info!!

Im an auto tech and car enthusiast. I have appreciation for euro, domestic, Asian... but Mercedes makes ugly ass cars

2 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 4

Miss me with the Mercs. I can think of a couple that look good.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like the new Mercedes and BMWs are both so shitty to look at

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, their new stuff is pretty bad. But something like a 1980 SL Cabrio or a 1955 300SL. Those were really great in my opinion. I also like the timeless practical design of the w124 T model after the first Facelift (Mopf 1 around 1990). But that might be skewed by me having one and enjoying it very much.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Agreed. I just don’t understand why anyone would pay that much money for that.

The new BMWs are way more hideous

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Lmao agreed, couple nice models but the rest are just bleh

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Benz has gone downhill since the early 2000s

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I liked the 450 SL convertible, their roadster models used to be fairly distinctive in design.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ugly-ass cars you have to subscribe to in order to get full access to the engine that's already in the fucking car, at that. Fuck Mercedes-Benz.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Source? My family has driven Benz for as long as I can remember. No one has to subscribe to anything. BMW on the other hand puts subscriptions for their heated seats in your contract. So I guess this is an Capitalist American thing. Here in Germany I don’t know of any subscriptions like the one you mentioned.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why am I being downvoted? I literally provided the source.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Oh wow. But that was expected. This might be controversial, and I’d love to have an electric car, but: Those who buy always connected Computers on wheels should consider the possibility of subscriptions regardless of manufacturer. The newest Mercedes we have is the 2018 E class of my dad, and that was the pinnacle of non-electric mercs. Nothing is subscription based, you have physical buttons instead of a huge tablet, and you can use all features you have bought.

I've read your comment a few times and am unsure what you are trying to tell me.
