These are brilliant! As someone VERY accident prone, I will be wearing these daily

Found this hilarious since I have a dog that consistently has her butthole showing

Love this so much! Will definitely be using it to make more time to bake

Pic of said butthole dog
FP Edit: Thank you to my SS. I can't wait to grab some colored pencils and get to work. Will post updates of my work!
Also the dog (Leela) is mostly Chow mixed with a few other things. There's a pic of her full breed outline in my posts

Same here with the penicillin allergy

I listed a bee allergy and simply requested they not send me bees.

How does one accidentally ingest penicillin? I guess if you're unconscious and a medical provider administers it, but is that common?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Please stop using that abbreviation for Secret Santa. As a resident of Germany I always flinch before I realise what is meant.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Fun... well, neutral fact. Roughly 90% of penicillin allergies end up being false when tested.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Omg the penicillin alert bracelets. Love that. Nice job, Santa!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bracelets and cat butt coloring book ftw! Meowy Catmas and happy Howlidays to you and your Santa +⇧

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am also allergic to penicillin!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#2 I could go for one of those as a fellow penicillin allergy suffer

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Enjoy! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Onee more should be arriving soon !

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Omg thank you so much!! My husband and I laughed SO hard at the coloring book. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, everything you got would be totally in my wheelhouse. I love baking, colouring books are great & I'm allergic to penicillin too.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I get antibiotics, I have to stress nothing ending in '-illin' for me. It works most of the time.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a catASStrophe

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This should have more points. I'll definitely be labeling one of the pics as this!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Love it.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Except they are just to create awareness for the Penicillin Allergy cause.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm allergic to penicillin. Had a doctor ignore it and write a script within the drug family. Not my doctor anymore...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hear me out. Leave the cats all white. Color their buttholes...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually need those since I'm allergic to the thing they give you for severe allergies, steroids lol

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m not allergic to penicillin, but I’m allergic to cefazolin, which is the antibiotic they push in ambulance if you have open wounds.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As with most of these things, found out the hard way. Was supposed to have outpatient surgery and nearly died.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was in a place and one of the people there had one of those cat butt coloring books. Huge hit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Erythromycin. Projectile vomiting. Doctor asked if I took it with food. "Yeah, some of the peas hit the wall in the other room..."

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I too have a penicillin allergy, should get myself one or two of those, just incase

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm also allergic to penicillin! ?

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

There are a lot of us on here apparently!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Be sure to look up the list of Penicillin-derived medications too. Some people are only allergic to one kind, others can't have any of them.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The cross reactivity of people with true penicillin allergy to cephalosphorins is <1%.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is good, if I have read it right.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: having a viral infection as a kid and getting PCN for it (like doctors just threw at everyone in the 70s-90s) causes a rash, (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But this was misdiagnosed as an allergy for many people. Hives and swelling are legit allergies though! (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sulfa drug allergy here. I don't think they are first choices for anything though.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There are some related antibiotics that are used post-surgery and for nasty infections. ASK ME HOW I KNOW.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay. How you know?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hives. Every. Where. They kill the top layer of skin, too, so your whole body peels. You don't truly know itching until your balls peel.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh God I put something very similar in my profile. Now I'm wondering haha. I haven't had it since I was 5 so who knows at this point

4 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 1

I was tested for my penicillin allergy recently again. Seems that after 25 years I have outgrown it!! No longer allergic!!

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I always wondered if I've outgrown it but I don't really want to test it either lol

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Right? I don't want a "yup still sucks" situation

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They test it like they test other allergies where they mark up your skin. If you’re allergic, it will just feel like a mosquito bite.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have no allergies outside of 'one of my parents has a penicillin allergy and I've never had penicillin so I'd rather not risk it'-allergy.

4 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 1

Family members have 5 different, unique, allergies... I haven't found one yet.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m a “mom claims I’m allergic to penicillin, but I can take all its derivatives. Yes, I know that’s unlikely.” Allergy.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My mum has the "you may die" version, I got a milder "not fatal, unless you pass out and crack a head on something", so you might be semi ok

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seeing all these replies, I feel special for having the "I went to the doctor and had an allergy screening performed that confirmed I'm

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Allergic to penicillin and all its derivatives, oh and also every single known type of grass.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mine is "you've gotten full body rashes the last two times you've taken it so best to stay away forever because now your terrified"

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mine's a "Got a rash when I was 5 so maybe penecillin caused it" allergy

4 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Same! I couldn't even get an allergy specialist to test me for it. Must be a scary test?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm an infectious diseases pharmacist, I deal with penicillin allergies on a literal daily basis. 50% of my patients report PCN allergy(1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Upon challenging <1% actually have it. Look up the incidence, it checks out. <1%. You DONT want the drugs you get if we can't use PCN (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

THIS.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why do people claim to have it? Do they believe they get something better?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They took the pill and then puked. Some doctors call that an allergy. I don't think it actually is, but still unpleasant

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think they genuinely believe they have an allergy, either their parents told them they did or because they had a non-allergy side effect

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

50% still seems extremely high, that would imply they'd all had penicillin as a child. I'm in my 30s, and have only had antibiotics maybe

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A dozen times, and none of them were penicillin.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I actually never in my career have had a patient have an ACTUAL penicillin allergy, even in all the patients who say they have one.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Read an article a few years back that boiled down to "Some people react when they're kids, but grow out of it. For years we diagnosed/(1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

treated with an overabundance of caution...but now that we're running out of antibiotics, let's look at PCN again." (2/2)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you tell? Just curious. I had a bad reaction to penicillin so I always say Im allergic, and then I had a bad reaction to tetracycline

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was prescribed tetracycline once, felt like i had morning sickness the whole time. I would never take it again. Also morphine..big pass

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So I figure I am allergic to both. Haven't had a formal test but had an "allergic" type reaction for both as a child.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We do what's called a graded challenge. Give 10% of dose, then monitor, then 90%, monitor. If tolerated, we proceed with the drug (1/2)

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Have seen what happens with disrespected penicillin allergy. It's fucking brutal. It's important to take that seriously.

4 years ago | Likes 342 Dislikes 1

I've only ever been told I am allergic, dunno how they found out or what my reaction is though

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ive only had penicillin once because it was in the fridge and my mom was at a school meeting and my dad didn’t know wtf he was doing.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I have a -icillin allergy. Worst. Wisdom. Tooth. Removal. Ever.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know someone who almost died because they unknowingly had ibuprofen from an old penicillin bottle

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m allergic it but it’s not something that you run into everyday. You just tell your doctor or the hospital hey I’m allergic to penicillin.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seen?? It happened to me, it was insane

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most unfortunatly, I have. There needs to be a universal warning sign tattooed on arms, legs and behind. The patients swolen face was unreco

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

family history of penicillin allergies with anaphylactic shock as the common reaction

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Mine stems from having to much as kid. I got strep throat A LOT until they finally took out my tonsils. I get a very bad full body rash

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I got a really bad rash from only taking it the one time. It lasted for at least a week

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a partner once asked if i had a penicillin allergy. shortly after giving me a dose of it. suffice to say he was on it for reasons.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

i do not have one, but the moment was terror and comedy beautifully fused

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've only ever had one experience with penicillin and it was a bad one, Doctor almost killed me when I to Amoxycillin for an unknown-

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

-glandular issue. It wasn't even a penicillin allergy, but knowing how quickly shit goes wrong with that stuff scared me.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Amoxicillin is chemically similar to penicillin, ppl usually have the same allergic reaction to both. No one with a penicillin allergy 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Should take any drug with -cillin at the end of the word. Also, never take Augmentin, either. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

+1 Yep all of this.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I'm aware, -Cillin is the family, I just meant I didn't have a -cillin allergy, and even so the reaction scared me so mad respect.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What have you seen?

4 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I had hives over literally my *entire* body from a related allergy. Twice.

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate.

Given a penicillin cousin despite allergy to treat sepsis. Took a week but put me in seizure, cardiac arrest. Quick EMTs revived me.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Skin falls off. Like a nasty sunburn. Fukin hurts so bad and takes like 4 weeks to heal.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My skin peeled for 3 months on my hands and feet.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oof. Mine was on my trunk and upper legs. Human bodies are strange.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Horrible rash. Itches like claw your skin open. Narrowed trachea. Progresses to unconscious otw to dead.

4 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 0

You can also have a secondary reaction where your skin peels and can kill you because it can be your hands, feet or anywhere, it was scary.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The rash is also inside your mouth, throat and into the lungs. This has happened to me.

4 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 0

Ha happened to me too. Tomato. And almost died. Here I am fucking around and finding out. Life can suck, but can be beautiful too..

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This! Happened once, will never happened again. I also refuse any sexy time with SO when he's on Penicillin, I'm that cautious!

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

And I’m proud of you for that.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

me too . Penicillin , Cleocin , Glendamycin ... same group of abx ... make sure you are not allergic to those

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am..
