Looks the same. Oh right, Chicago unions put a stop to growth.

Pretty sure most of it was destroyed in Transformers 3.

As someone from a different part of Illinois it is probably appropriate you left out the state.

I can never get my skyscrapers to grow that tall. Wonder what they use for fertilizer.

I once flew to Chicago just for italian beef sandwiches. Flew in, picked up sandwiches in the concourse, got back on the next flight out.

If the Cubs win World Series it will look much like 1937 again

Everything east of Michigan Ave is man made land. Grant park use to be the Lake.

Better: it was elevated by several feet to allow the sewage to work properly. And the Chicago River's flow was reversed.

Yeah, it's the rubble from the Fire that they pushed into the Lake. Really puts the magnitude of the blaze into perspective.

Liquefaction

This can't be right. According to Watch_dog, Chicago is an archipelago.

The windy city has a lot of sail boats.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where are the twin towers?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

If I have learned anything from Imgur, news and American movies, Chicago TODAY, doesnt look anything like that.

Nice photos but now? The light pollution must be off the charts.

There were a million more people living in Chicago 100 years ago than there are today.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's crazy how nature does that

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Always +1 Chicago. Can you find then and now pictures of the whole downtown area? Would like to see the Sears Tower's current location then.

Way more color in the future.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hah I don't!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

FYI-We have different areas, just like NY has Manhattan/Brooklyn etc. Media pisses me off saying all crime is "Chicago".This area is amazing

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Agreed. But if you say East Garfield Park to anyone who doesnt live here. They go "where?" oh Chicago..

My aunt lives there but I don't go there because my grandpa had a heart attack at O'Hare and passed away and my dad can't handle it

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

You know Chicago has 2 airports right?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I still don't know why but my dad just can't handle the city. Maybe I'll go there one day without him.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

same

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fly Southwest! They utilize Midway Airport which is nowhere near O'Hare :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Is that someone getting murdered in the lower left corner?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Chicago is such a great city when you get past all the bad stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Just like Hitler. I bet he was a great person when you get past the bad stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Come here and say that. It would be a very memorable vacation for you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You don't have to get past the bad stuff. You literally have to go and find it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I liked my vacation there a lot. We were considering moving but cost of living difference is too great right now. We'd need to make about 1

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

20k more a year to maintain current life style.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I lived there briefly. I love the city, but living there not so much.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I lived there for 9 years, and I think it was great.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is this supposed to make us think Chicago is a good place?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Despite media attention to the violence, the remaining 90% of the city is clean and nice

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

500 murders in Chicago this year so far. How are the toughest anti-gun laws working out for you all?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

They don't but that's not my problem. It's people with who hold no value on life who are the issue. It's sad to say that when you ask (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, you act like this is new. It's not the media just started paying attention. And with indy and wisco in an hr away guns are easy to get

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a kid from a bad neighborhood whats 9*9 they cant answer but ask where to get a gun and they can point out the guy on the corner (2/2)
