Today, as we know of, Mars is the only planet that is populated only by robots.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

What about Venus? Dead robots, but still...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You could say it has been depopulated of robots.

You can make fun of the questions he asked (he didnt ask this 1) but theres a lot of ppl out there who dont understand why we went to Mars.

We went to Mars because we had to bring Mark Watney back home!

I worked at JPL on the MSL project in a support role, and every time I mention it, someone thanks me for rescuing Matt Damon.

The Apollo mission gave us transistors to replace vaccum tunes. And gave credence to duct tape

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Nah they didn't. Transistors were invented and developed way before Apollo program.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I am not one of those people.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

John Bardeen invented the transistor while working at Bell Labs. The telephone gave us the transistor (and laser and CCD, C, Unix, etc, etc)

Thanks for the correction, it used to be Nasa drove innovation - budget cuts I guess

The "practical application" of the "space crap" is the satellite they're using to communicate.

So, OP doesn't understand sarcasm or just hates Fox News?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 21

Fox News is right-biased. Rightwingers typically have a problem understanding the virtue of progress, be it technological or social.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Yeah man, right wingers are so stupid, but I love mass generalizations!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

...Sez the person who validates it by not understanding the zing that NASA guy delivered.
