*UPDATE* Owner has been located and reunited with her pup. “Trey” is back home safe and sound.

Found in Atlanta, GA in the Riverside Neighborhood. He/she was extremely friendly. Allowed me to get him in the back of the Jeep. Got him dry, cleaned up, fed and watered and he’s now chilling in my garage. Posted everywhere I could in hopes of finding his owners. He’s absolutely massive but just as sweet as you could possibly imagine.
Message me if by some miracle you know the owner.

Judging from the white line and the drain in the picture, this is not the "middle" of the road

My Pyr. loves to run as far and as fast as possible when ever she can get loose. It's not about happiness, they're just boundary seeking,1/2

2/2 adventure dogs used to herding flocks in huge pastures. She always comes back hours later when she's bored, and done rolling in manure

He wasn't hurt was he? Just napping? Don't want any internal bleeding..

Pyrs are the best doggos

I am pretty sure I know the owner of this dog, she works right down the street from me.

You'd need a great pair o' knees to lift a Great Pyrenees.

Did they forget about Trey?

I misread, thought you said you had him dry cleaned!!! I was thinking “geez, I hope he checked the label!” I’m not awake yet.

Pardon me while I have this dirty creature dry cleaned. I don’t want him to shrink.

Thank god for commas.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't dry clean your clouds, mate.

Have you tried posting it in Nextdoor app for Sandy springs area ? Most locals who lose dogs post it there.

Don’t ever forget to water your dog.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know the owner. It’s yoooooooou

no, this is stupid.

He must be a South Pole elf.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would surrender him to a shelter, not many people know where else to look. If your worried about him you can adopt after the stray hold

My friend adopted a great pyranese here in Atlanta a few months ago. She had a brother, wonder if this is him.

Although i know there are more than 2 in the city lol

Great Pyrenees love to wander. They are almost always extremely friendly.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Almost always - a wandering Gr Pyr came into my yard last month and killed my cat chilling on the porch...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are extremely friendly to people. Like most LGDs they almost always hate cats.

This is the exact same way I met my ex gf

8 years ago | Likes 224 Dislikes 3

So she was already your ex when you met her? Weird how that works sometimes...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

But then she escaped the garage

considering your username, I would not be surprised.

There are plenty of girls that are into it! Not the garage thing tho

I took my grandparents Great Pyr because he would wander off their land and be found 6 miles away.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what they do, especially the males. They're bred to be out looking for predators, and eliminating them. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Which is why you have to pay attention to them, and make sure they have a "job". A bored Pyrenees is a dangerous one... 2/2

Call your local animal hospitals & shelters in case he's been reported missing, and as advice, make anyone claiming the dog give some sort

8 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 0

of proof--be it a photo or description of a scar or something, or a name the dog responds to. A lot of dogfighters will claim found dogs

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

that aren't there to use as bait, especially big breeds, so be careful.

theirs*

Yes. This.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thanks, appreciate that.

@op pictures of their dog on their phone, vet records are VERY telling when it comes to ownership. Proof is very important!

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Take him to a vet to be scanned, may have a chip

8 years ago | Likes 408 Dislikes 0

You have to in Aus I’m pretty sure

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seconded. I know some places mandate chips especially shelters so there’s a solid chance he could be chipped

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

I highly encourage chips. It worked to reunite me with my lost cat until the family decided to keep him anyway and I was states away.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

What state?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is your cat sassy from homeward bound? How did she get states away?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Lol no, I was the one who was states away at that point. The cat was in my brother's care and ran off.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh gotcha. Makes a lot more sense ha

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait so did you get your cat back or not?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly I didnt but hopefully he is happy wherever he is

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait so they just up and stole your cat?? Even after finding out he belonged to you?
