Was at my girl's family's for CNY dinner. Kinda similar, but we had boiling pot but it was bomb. Love going to eat with her family.

From the small image on my phone, I thought the blue rimmed plate had Pop Tarts on it.

Lunar New Year* it is celebrated across most of Asia not just China.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know what any of this is, but I want to consume it all

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn, I wish I had friends that celebrated. *smacks*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like good stuff

Nah man, in small towns nighttime is when all the crazy methheads come out.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That we don't.

With all the Adderall and all..

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*sigh* I'm going to the wrong Chinese restaurants aren't I? The food I get looks nowhere near as good as this.

9 years ago | Likes 155 Dislikes 1

You know it's authentic if you order a soda and get a can and they only take cash.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

lol you ain't seen none yet boi

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A place near me recently closed because it was too authentic. They served things like jellyfish and America couldn't handle it. I miss it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ali Wong suggests going where there are lots of bad yelp reviews by white people

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Go to any place that advertises hot pot or pulls their own noodles, or go get dim sum.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

difference between cheap "noodles and chicken" and 10x more expensive fancy food

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Where do you live?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If the Chinese restaurant you're going to is followed by the word buffet then no. Havin been to China dim sum is our best bet in the US

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you are ever near a Din Tai Fung. Go. It's a Michelin star rated dim sum chain(?) that has amazing soup dumplings.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's cause you get the white person menu.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If you ever visit Montreal in Canada, we have some pretty good chinese food here, since we have Chinatown!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This all looks like home cooking!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

We all know you order general tso's

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

this is actually just home cooking

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stop going to Panda Express

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

no

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

to me, panada express is the best american chinese food

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was never a big fan of Chinese until a friend took me to a legit Chinese place and not crap like Panda Express

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I know panda excited is not authentic but isn't it art last a little tasty

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope. I like Americanized Chinese food, panda express is express only, not tasty. Like taco cabana.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair I get the same thing every time (General Tso's Chicken) which apparently isn't real chinese food anyways but the quality is (1/2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

undeniably different. Think about eating an actual chicken breast vs. a chicken nugget. Rice, sauce, and veggies are also much better.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you live near a city, go there. Look for a restaurant with a bilingual menu and Chinese customers. 1/

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

/2 If you happen to be near Philly, Wong Wong in Chinatown is a good choice. Costs about the same as the shit they make for white people

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

/3 but the menu has 300+ options, ranging from familiar to things Anthony Bourdain might raise and eyebrow at.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

doot

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This place is awesome! Really good food

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ever been to Dim Sum Garden? Back when it was under the Convention Center, I'd take people there partly for the shock of having good food 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

/2 in such an ugly setting. They're on Race St. now.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was never there. All that stuff is just so good.
