Still get a sick feeling when I think about working there.
Worked there for a year (16-17) and the men harassing me were all 25 years old or older.
I laugh it off when I talk about it in person but... honestly it gives me anxiety to discuss it.

I was sexually assaulted at 16 working a BK by a co-worker. Manager laughed when I told him. It was humiliating. Get Counseling!!!

I'm sorry - dont turn to blaming yourself if you are having a difficult time. It can take a really long time to find a normal again

Sexual harassment is disgusting. Sexual harassment of a minor seems like an additional level of disgusting.

People can be shit.. as long as you know it's not your fault and it's not bad to talk to someone about it. Stay strong

I'm a 26 year old male and I keep getting old men asking me what I'm doing after work. I cant eat my food in the lobby or else more try it

Same here. My boss had a “friend” that would stop by and grab me all the time. Then, through my boss, offered to pay me as a “girlfriend”.

Me too, 37 yrs ago. Still feel hatred. Deep silent sexism taught me that the same with racism is also real. Gave me empathy for black people

Get a counselor. Talk through it. Don’t let anyone ever tell you it’s not a big deal!! Sexual harassment is seriously damaging.

So sorry. Same. I was mature (but insecure) so the older guys took advantage and sexually harassed constantly. Fucked me up for sure.

Im 31 and I was sexually assaulted at work 3 years ago, and it definitely has had an effect on me. You aren't alone.

I was sexually harassed from age 19-21 while working at Target. I reported it an got shut down. It still affects me in small, permanent ways

A woman who sexually harrassed me at my first job ran into me almost 15 years later and apologized. Felt good.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

My first question, Is it still happening at this workplace?

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

No idea

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry you went through that :c

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yea I worked as a bartender at 18, as a senior in high school. I thought it was super cool atm- the amount of shit I put up with was insane

I didnt realize how much some sexual trauma and harrassment affected me until years later, went to group therapy, its not ok and its good to

Acknowledge that its messed up and too common

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There was a guy at work when I was 17 who'd sexually harrass all the waitresses, I don't think anyone took him seriously, but it would never

At 17 I started working in a bank. (1990) the men were all from the old school 60s and would give me a difficult time. One nuzzled into my-

I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard to see it when it's happening. Only when looking back how bad it was. It's over now. Please do yourself a

Favor and don't let it define the rest of your life! You have a lot of it to live and a lot to look forward to!

I"m 45 and never had a job where I haven't been sexually harassed. Doesn't matter the industry. Don't give them power over you.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

This was heartbreaking to read. I'm sorry that you've had to deal with that

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm really sorry you went through that. I'm gonna assume it was a service industry. Everyone should feel safe in themselves at work, always.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Im sorry this happened to you

Golf beverage cart? You never realize it until way later. Talk to a professional. It really really really helps. All the best

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I worked in the golf business. Old white fuckers are the worst. And when you are 18, they’re all old.

I'm male for the record but yeah I've seen how idiotic and vile men can act around way too young girls.

Check local laws on statutes of limitation for sexual harassment. Report it to the labor board anyway. Documentation and history matter.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I dont think those people work there anymore

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Might still be worth it to have the employer [company] on record with sexual harassment. In the end, it's up to you, though.

One of my dearest friends looks like she's 12, except for her chest, which looks 28GG. She keeps trying to get normal jobs, but being 4'10"

that she's getting paid for it. She's the person who goes out in a men's XXL hoodie in August just so men leave her alone and it sucks.

Some counseling specific to this trauma may help you move on and ease your anxiety. Best of luck.

This is so important. Especially in order to have healthy relationships with the people you care about. Can’t emphasize that enough.

Check for free sexual abuse counseling in your area. The one here is called a rape crisis center but it covers all forms of sexual abuse.

My first job was at a grocer, I had customers who touched and stalked me. One time a guy called the store, and when I didn't recognize him>

Yeah. The old men think they’re so funny—complete strangers! When they come in from the cold and put the backs of their hands on your neck.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

WTF? Who the hell touches store employees? I won't even tap someone's shoulder to get their attention, much less put a cold hand on a neck.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Well this was at a country club many years ago. Not a public store.
