We're all about customer service at this store. It's the only reason it's still around, honestly. The prices are jacked up, 99% of the items are terrible ideas, and why don't people just shop online?

BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING. HOLY SHIT YOU'RE HAVING A BABY THIS IS SCARY AND EXCITING! GET IN HERE! WE'LL HELP YOU THE FUCK OUT. YOU'RE GONNA WALK AROUND THIS STORE FOR 4 HOURS WITH A WEIRD LITTLE SCANNER THING IN YOUR HAND AND GET IN HEATED ARGUMENTS OVER WHAT COLOR IS BETTER WITH YOUR SIGNIFICANT OTHER! WE'RE HERE TO HELP YOU WITH THIS NEW HUMAN YOU'RE BRINGING INTO THIS WORLD.

Fun fact: you can call the store to make sure, and you can also do "In-store pickup" where we shop around the store for your lazy ass, put all the items in a bag, and you pay online for it all. Then you get to wait twice as long as you would have just shopping, because someone has to be available and retrieve it from across the store.

Don't be pennygrabbing twat and argue this. It doesn't work at other stores. I can't tell you the number of times the cashiers have been swarmed and returned these items without checking. It just sucks for me later when I go to put it together for a discount as-is model and I'm suddenly covered in baby fluids.

Why do you think we owe you a coupon? It's a coupon. Not a reward for knowing we keep one back there for emergencies.

Why does this happen so often? Is there another popular store that does this that I don't know about? Quit being stingy. That's a damn car seat. That thing could outlive you in an accident, so you'd spend a pretty penny on a quality one.

Why do people assume what form anything will come in when we don't have the boxes on display? I get people upset they have to assemble a dresser, and people upset they can't fit it in their little sedans. It's always going to be as big as the biggest piece.
(Hint: if you ever have to pick up furniture and you've got a shitty tiny car, just "Test drive" a pickup truck from any dealership. It's cheaper than the 100 dollar delivery fee)

Seriously you're in charge of a human life now. Maybe you ought to read up on that a bit yeah?

(For those that don't know about tiny peoples, suffocation is the number 1 cause of infant deaths and if a baby rolls face first onto a pillow and can't roll back over, which they usually can't, they usually die)

This isn't "Makin Babies R Us"

This was the one time I couldn't keep it together. He was looking for a rectal thermometer lubricant, but failed to mention that beforehand. Got written up for laughing at that one, but it was worth it.

Walked away after that one. Couldn't have left that conversation with my job if I'd stayed.

Seriously though:

EDIT (yeah i did that thing....) : So I totally missed the part where I meant to say that we DO sell the floor model and a discount when it's the last of it's item in the store. I thought I'd put that in the description, that's my bad.

Also, the baby pillow situation I should have clarified as customers literally looking for pillows to place in a crib for their babies to sleep on.
To those saying I'm not qualified to give baby advice, I assure you I am and you can take your skepticism over to the next confession bear.

This is an informative (intended to be humorous) rant post. It's not meant to simulate actual customer interaction. I have no idea why so many of you are so offended by this. Some of you are even arguing facts down in those comments.
Sorry for any confusion not really sorry because you guys are jerks.

When I worked retail we gave customers the coupon if they knew about it prior and asked for it. Just easier that way.

This.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wait, so you guys don't sell babies? Oh...Oh dear God

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

People asking about baby pillows remember when baby pillows were a thing. The safety standards for kids change all the time and what once

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The biggest one I don't get is baby powder. I've heard no baby powder like 1000x. My daughter is still living even with it...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i had the same issue with baby cream. they found a link between lotions and powder used on babies in the first year and eczema :(

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

was accepted and widely used no longer is. Exp: Walkers with wheels used to be used all the time and now they tell people not to use them.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I work at ToysRUs and a lot of this is legit questions and clearly you are rude to your customers. Come visit me guys,I'll hook you up!

11 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 10

I used to work there! We always did everything in our power to help out our customers. And we were even the worst store in the state!

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Same! I HATE it when I have to tell someone we don't have an item, so I do whatever I can to make sure they can get it

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Selling floor models at a discount is SUPER common around here. And things looking smaller or bigger in relation to your house makes sense.

11 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 6

And they are talking about how big or small it looks in comparison to itself. And obviously if you have a big item you want to use a truck.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yes, but usually floor models aren't sold until the product is D/C'd or it's the last one left in the store. Not just as a cheaper option.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

I love how you rebuke people for being cheap yet suggest to test drive (at the risk of scratching) a new truck to deliver furniture.

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 4

I suggest they take the 100 dollar delivery because it's insured, but when they start cutting open boxes and tying pieces to a roof... well.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 20

What, exactly, is a coupon emergency? why do you keep a coupon behind the till then?

11 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

For people who forget to bring their coupons from home. This guy is just a douche.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Perhaps incase the coupon the customer brought in doesn't scan correctly. It can happen, barcode may have gotten wet or warped somehow.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The reason people ask all these money saving questions is because they work sometimes. Stop giving people discounts and I'll stop asking.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

Speaking as someone that has worked at BRU, I was terrified when I had to try and explain breast pumps to customers at age 16.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I buy discounted floor models at places. They might be worn out, so I wouldn't do it with a car seat, but its a legit question otherwise.

11 years ago | Likes 157 Dislikes 14

Ex Demo is great, means its not faulty

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd never buy floor model for a baby. Child, maybe. Not baby. Cheaper versions exist at Walmart, friends, Target, Superstore, etc.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Main reason stores don't sell floor models is that someone has to assemble a new one to display after and not all assembly is done by staff,

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I worked retail and a lot of our displays had to be set up by a third party rep from the respective company offering the item.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We sell them on a separate area once the model is discontinued and the warehouse has none, but while we sell it there'd be no reason.

11 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 36

Yeah actually a lot of furniture places give discounts on floor models, but you're right, usually only if they're out of stock/discontinued

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I get that. I wait until it's the last unit left.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

It's still fairly reasonable to enquire about it

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

What kind of emergencies are the coupons for, @DragonDew?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

"We're all about customer service" > "you get to wait twice as long". OK...

11 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 5

Link pls

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Most of these work stories have just become people bitching about their jobs.

11 years ago | Likes 330 Dislikes 26

Yeah, and?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

"Our store is only in business because of our customer service... but i'm an asshole."

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

that's why I really liked the candy store one. it was the guy telling stories about how awesome his job was, such a nice change

11 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 0

I missed that one. Is it recent? can you find the link?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

When I went through the madness of babies r us, I'm genuinely glad I never met an associate like this. You're a cunt and you should feel bad

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

IM VERY FOND OF THE GUY THAT DARED TO POLITELY ASK FOR A COUPON

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

"have just become"? These have been "customers suck/work sucks" stories from the beginning.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, some of them at the beginning were funny because of the sheer ridiculousness of the customers, now they are just petty complaints IMO.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I prefer to think of it as people sharing the difficult, hilarious, and interesting about their jobs.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

This guy is just being an ass. I shop at Babies R Us and would hate to deal with a bitter sales associate like him

11 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 10

Its easy to be polite when talking to the customers. But it's also good stress relief to rant after hours when you can't get in trouble.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I dunno about most, but this one was uncomfortable.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I worked in a day camp, and when we were consellors only, we would bitch about the kids, even if we loved them.People just like to complain?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wasn't the original thing about people bitching about their jobs? That's what I always thought.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So true! I read one in Usersub about a guy at a gas station who was pissed that people weren't giving him tips.

11 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

They expect tips?

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Apparently. His argument was that he was making only minimum wage.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, and so are a lot of other people who work at jobs that don't require tips.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Exactly what I thought.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a European, the concept of gas station attendants getting tips is an utterly bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Totally agree. I make a little more than minimum wage and I always tip for food service and deliveries. (1)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But for the rest, I really can't afford it (2)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Uh, as an American the concept of gas station attendants getting tips is utterly bizarre.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It wasn't bizarre when there were a lot of full service stations.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The concept of a gas station attendant is bizarre. We still have those?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think youre just a bad employee. ;-;

11 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 23

Why would you think that? I'm an excellent employee.

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 61

The people giving you hate has never worked retail before. Don't take it personally. They just don't know.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 14

I've got 3000 fake internet points in 7 hours that says they don't know. I know I know, my employers know I know. That's all I need lol.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 15

EVERYBODY has worked retail. You're the outlier if you haven't.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Down voting for being an asshole. Seriously bro, get it together. Remember you chose this job.

11 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 20

I knew a dude named Stephen who worked at TRU and Babies R Us. He was a complete douchecanoe.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love your username so much

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Some people get stuck in retail, despite their best efforts to get out.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

The people who get stuck in retail ACT like the person who made this post. Nobody WANTS to put them in other positions.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Not necessarily.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is true, but did OP get stuck in being an asshole too?

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Haha, idk, but maybe he's working on it?

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Perhaps #7 was looking for pillows specifically used to keep said baby from turning over in the first place.

11 years ago | Likes 62 Dislikes 5

Even so, they shouldn't say pillows for the baby to sleep on. That's just confusing.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

Maybe they are confused, it's not exactly easy.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Oh i forgot to mention in the little text that I show them the nursing pillows, position pillows, floor pillows etc, and they insist on bed

11 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 42

Might've wanted to include that. It seriously makes you look like a jerk to go "I wanna help new parents" then criticize them.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Yeah I think I put too much in, and as a result missed some key details, but I've added them at the bottom now. Hopefully that will help...

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 7

Or the Boppy... There are plenty of baby type pillows.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

-1 for mostly being an asshole about your responses (at least in the post), +1 for spreading awareness about baby suffocation.

11 years ago | Likes 265 Dislikes 38

How do you down vote and upvote a post at the same time? O_O

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I click both arrows, it just depends on which arrow I clicked first ;)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If that person was working in my company and I found that out, they'd go to re-training on the spot. What is wrong with OP?

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

But how can you give .10 points?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

-1 for suggesting to test drive a pickup to avoid a delivery fee. Asking for a coupon is a sin, but scamming an auto dealer is good ethics?

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

TBH I got lazy and didn't even read that far... lol

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I NEVER KNEW THAT PILLOWS WOULD DO THAT!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

like... fuck pillows dude... fucking baby killers

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pillow question is not that simple. Pillow prevents flat head. Official pillow advice varies, many say "use until baby can turn over" 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Definitely DO use pillow in pram, on changing table and other lying down situations where baby is supervised. Baby pillows are a thing. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Just said +1 for spreading awareness, be aware of the danger and make informed decisions. Saddest stories are the "I didn't know" ones IMO.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I would never respond to any customers this way. My "answers" here are all just things I wish I could say after hearing it the 100th time.

11 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 52

There's a good chance you're not hiding your disdain for your customers as well as you think you are.

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

Even the fact that he thinks working at babies r us qualifies him to give child rearing advice labels him as a douche nugget

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

OP has been in asshole in a lot of his responses to others on this post that I have read as well.

11 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 6

I haven't been rude to a single person though. I'm actually pretty upset that everyone's tearing this up and I'm doing my best to stay civil

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 28

This entire post is rude and any intelligent CEO would be embarrassed to know that you're on their staff.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Any intelligent CEO could read, so... No.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Nice response. If you were less immature and impolite you might not be working in retail right now. Your customers are gold.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You haven't been rude to people on here, but you're judgement of customers (for the most part) is incredibly inconsiderate of their 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

(*your [in previous post]) perspective on the situation and criticize them for something that might not be as obvious to them as it is 2/3

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

to you. You've gotta look at it from their perspective. For example, most people don't think babies r us is a high end baby store. 3/3

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm actually really nice, but it's 5:30am and who's sober on imgur at 5:30am anyway? +1 for your honesty though.

11 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 56

Nice. You even have good customer service skills with strangers online.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I'm sober on Imgur at 5:30am! But it's because I'm at work. I did wake up hungover at 2:30am for my shift, that counts for something right?

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

I wish i could be hungover at a desk job on imgur. unloading 4am trucks hungover isn't exactly the doctor's prescription for feeling better.

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 13

Yeah... The coupon thing? Most stores are happy to share coupons with you - I know I was when I worked in customer service. OP is crabby :P

11 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 5

I want to know the stores you've been to that happily.gave you 20% off coupons.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When I worked at Best Buy and K-Mart in my younger years, I always shared with customers. Some places that come to mind as a customer (1/2)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"hey, by the way we have this coupon we sent out, I'll put it on for you!" Maybe they don't give them to mean customers, but I'm nice :) 3/3

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

are Macy's, Dillards (all department stores really), grocery stores, Auto Zone, etc... and those are given out unprompted, like (2/3)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've had cashiers ring me up with a coupon TONS of times. I don't even ask for coupons, they just scan it or ask if I have a loyalty card.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's actually really cool, but that's not to say that that's OP's store's policy or that your cashier were allowed to do that.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Like, what the fuck do you care if you give someone 20% off? You're actually intentionally being a dick.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Actually if you give that out when the store wouldn't want you to you could be written up or worse. Not always a cashier's call.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If they didn't want you using it, they wouldn't give it to you so you had one behind the till.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or they give it to you with specific instructions. OP even referred to them as back up, meaning they're not just meant to be handed out.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

+1 for liking fried pickles! Had them at the boardwalk once and they blew me away!

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Is there a Captain D's near you? They serve fried pickles.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I've never heard of Captain D's! I live in NJ and the site says there's one about an hour away (about as far as the boardwalk from here).

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're a great little restaurant.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

(2/2) I'd be willing to get the D if I'm ever in the area, though! :P

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 29weeks, first time mom, and I am already overwhelmed, I don't need a retail worker being snotty to me because I don't know everything

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

And in return don't be snotty to other people. That's the point. People talk to the service industry workers like trash, treat everyone 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I've worked retail for 14 years, I don't treat anyone like trash. I don't even send my SO on midnight ice cream runs.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

With the same respect you want to be treated with. Be super nice to servers cause they'll work harder for you. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

What type of emergencies require a 20% off coupon?

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 3

an attractive female doesn't have a coupon

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Possible someone with a sad story, lack of funds, etc. Or most likely someone that brings in a damaged coupon, so you scan yours instead.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If you have a car accident (even just a fender bender) you cant use the car seat any more...sooo chances are you'll outlive it..

11 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 5

That's one of those rumor things. It takes a fair amount of car damage for a carseat to be deemed unsafe to reuse.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 40

Why the fuck do you feel qualified to give advice?! You're flat out wrong!

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

http://www.nhtsa.gov/people/injury/childps/ChildRestraints/ReUse/RestraintReUse.htm Because the people in charge of this say I'm right?

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

In the US also, any kind of accident that the car seat is in (even if the kid isn't in it) it is recommended to get a new one.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

its recommended by the manufactures of the car seats...and by the RAA in Australia

11 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Oh. Australia banned half the things we sell in the store anyway xD

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 25

yeah, we aren't even the safest in terms of seats. You guys (Im assuming American?) keep kids rear facing for ages though...so thats good

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Also, car seats "expire" after six years or so, so even if you have more than one kid you might not be able to reuse it.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Anyone else think the test drive tip is an absolute horrible idea?

11 years ago | Likes 436 Dislikes 24

You get a credit check performed to test drive at most places.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Where on earth do you live? I've never heard of that for a test drive

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was quite a real thing until it became illegal. They would take your driver's license for teh test drive, and then run your credit.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

it's for the dealerships that don't have a salesman go with you

11 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

It's probably something that would be on one of these lists for car sales rep. WE'VE COME FULL CIRCLE

11 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 2

No... it's not. My stories are terrible and not funny.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that definitely is not recommended. Pay $20 to rent a truck for a few hours, don't subject a car salesman to your cheapness.

11 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 9

This is how I survived without a car for 8 months. We'd save all big purchase for a weekend and spend 40 to rent a truck from uhaul.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure they have designed routes for test drives, and I'm sure the salesmen love running errands with you. OP is a dick

11 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 25

I'm a car salesman and I do not drive with my customers. Some of them I would hate to ride along with.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

make a post!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All of my stories are terrible and unfunny.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can't wait!! guys, Sirkenjiman is going to make a post! It's going to be terrible!! woohoo!!

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. Borrowed an SUV one time to get rid of a huge TV. No regrets!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As bad an idea as asking for the floor model.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$20 to rent the home depot truck. They never ask why, and if you get the guy who does say you have to return a washer. I do this a lot

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's an asshole move if you have no intention of making a purchase. You're wasting someones time when they could be helping a real customer

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

When car salespeople stop being assholes, I'll return the favor.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Blanket statements about an entire group of people is pretty narrow minded

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I would be so worried I'd scratch up the car when loading it with stuff, especially with something as big as a dresser.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend just traded in his truck for a car, not realizing it was the week before moving apartments. He got the dealership to let him use

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It for moving anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Mostly because...wouldn't the salesman be like, "Hey why are we stopping at Babies R Us. And why are we now going to your home? LET ME OUT"

11 years ago | Likes 187 Dislikes 10

Around here you can test-drive without a salesman in the car, is that not everywhere?

11 years ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 11

Nope, I've always had a car sales person with me in the vehicle any time I've test drove a car.

11 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 1

When I test drove my first car it was just me and my friend sitting shotgun, the dealer guy didn't even check to see if I had a license 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

2/2 and I peeled out of the lot because I wasn't used to the clutch in the car yet.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not anywhere I've test drove a vehicle (NC)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

depends on the dealership. Audi here doesn't ride with you, Kia does.

I live in upper-middle class suburbia, so that might be that. But I've test driven a truck and told the salesman I was going to use it for -

11 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 8

- a heavy lifting job, and he thought it was a great test and that it'd sell the truck, and honestly it almost did.

11 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

My aunt was allowed to take hers home over the weekend as a test drive. (sc)

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not in new York or new jersey

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Not if they don't trust you. The average demographic here sure isn't riding alone, though.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

In Maryland they have to be sure you don't drive the car near anyone who owns a gun or has eaten a poptart that looks like one.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I'm in Maryland and just bought a car earlier this year. Test drove several beforehand at different dealerships; went out alone each time.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not here, probably a lambo or Ferrari, but I've never test driven those kind of cars

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone who sold BMWs at a dealer for a while...no chance we'd let someone go alone. But...they WERE BMWs...not like...a Gremlin =p

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When i was buying a new pickup truck, i test drove probably 20 of them from different dealers and not a single salesman rode along with me.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, I don't know, I was younger than 25 when I bought my car, so maybe it was an insurance thing.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone who sold BMWs at a dealer for a while...no chance we'd let someone go alone. But...they WERE BMWs...not like...a Gremlin =p

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All the dealers around us have 24 hour you take it home test drives. No Salesman included.

11 years ago | Likes 139 Dislikes 3

Test drive here is like 10 mins with salesman. :(

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had never heard of that until recently. It was very bizarre for me to be offered to take the car home for the weekend.

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I'm imagining a scenario where it's 24 hours with a salesman "and he only eats mac and cheese covered in ketchup"

11 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 0

ARE YOU SAYING THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH MAC AND CHEESE COVERED IN KETCHUP

11 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

How is there not?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Wow. I'm a teen who's two months from finding a job- not looking forward to working in customer service...

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 5

Have been working customer service for the past 4 years... You have bad days and good days...mostly bad days...and one really good day...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Honestly it's not all as bad as these memes make it out to be. If you're a nice person, many will be nice back, the majority won't care-

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and it's only perhaps 5% of customers who are the dips these memes portray.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has good days, too. We just remember the bad ones better.

EXACTLY. PEOPLE ARE SCARY.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

None.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just smile and be pleasant when you get yelled at. Drives them batshit crazy.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

It will also, over time, drive you batshit insane.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, yes, but what better cover than to be pleasant and friendly right up until you get arrested for assault?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Gonna keep this in mind for future use XD

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It works! They feel justified if you get angry back, but if you stay happy they just feel like dicks. which makes them angrier.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, the best skill you can ever learn in customer service is the plastic smile + diabetically sweet tone of voice. Drives them NUTS.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There's a store near me called Buy Buy Baby. Now if any store is misleading for not selling babies, it's that one.

11 years ago | Likes 154 Dislikes 5

We have "Once Upon a Child", and I will spare the obvious jokes relating to the name. FANTASTIC place for gently used baby items

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

"Gently used"

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love that store! I've now gotten 3 babies from there, all with 20% off coupons;)

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I literally spat out my red wine onto my brand new phone screen just now. +1000 (ok I can only do +1)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When you say it out loud it sounds like "Bye Bye Baby" which sounds more like a place where you get an abortion.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's where we went. They actually have customer service. Unlike B-R-us. And they don't employ this twat which is another plus

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 6

Been to that one in Indianapolis, much cooler. It's like the bed bath and beyond of baby shit

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The sons of Bed Bath & Beyond started Buy Buy Baby. They use the same fixtures etc.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's because they're sister companies. I work for BB&B myself, but I haven't worked there long enough to share any interesting stories.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

FUCK THAT STORE PEOPLE KEEP COMING IN TRYING TO USE THEIR COUPONS AND REGISTRIES.

11 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 27

You're just jealous

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

A lot of retailers honor competitors coupons. It's called "customer service". Gasp

11 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 7

1, Babies R Us is 90% exclusive items, they don't have a competitor, aside from amazon. 2, We're literally not allowed to nor would it scan.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

1. Not remotely. 2. Same with many retailers but POS machines have overrides. Lots of places do it. I know you don't. Doesn't mean shouldnt

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Stores might match a competitors price if you bring in the ad, but they will not accept another store's coupon.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

In fact one store actually had a button on their POS for their main competitors coupons.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've personally worked for three that did in the past. But thanks anyway.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

which three? I'll go ahead and give them a call and ask.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You're not going to be a bad dad :) We didn't know this stuff until after I was expecting and both our kids are just fine :)

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The "rules" of what to do with your baby get crazy and cause real stress. It boils down to doing what works for you and your baby.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I didn't know either, and I've got four nieces, five step nieces, and one nephew. I always figured they just needed the itty bitty (1)

Floor models are regularly discounted because they get dinged and scratched and worn from regular handling. It's a legit question.

It's only a legit question if there are no others in stock.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is a normal thing I thought.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It depends on the store. Lots of input in comments about stores that don't discount floor models and why.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A ton of floor models are shipped to store as "display only" and cannot be sold for safety issues.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's one way to cut down on inventory loss.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but stores only sell floor models when they stop selling the product

11 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

That may be true for some stores, but not all of them. Really depends on the product and the owner.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At target, we sold the floor models for certain things. But never car seats or strollers. (in-case they were missing parts and such)

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A lot of stores will not resell the store model for baby items in case it was not assembled correctly and somebody tries to sue the store.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since my house basically is an Ikea pack . If you yel IKEAAA loud enough it'll fall apart. But Ikea does this very often. just put it in a

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Discount corner. Pretty awesome.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bike shops always discount their ex-display models, but only when the new year's model come in, not before.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

is "this year's model" of bike really a must have? I mean, a bike is a bike. It's not as though the design's been improved on. :p

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably not. My brother just built himself a mountain bike with new, yet 1-2 year old bits. Original RRP £1590, his spend £505. Not bad.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lot of times the manufacturer pays to have that product placed there for display. Usually the display won't sell until they stop making them

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which is a perfectly valid reason not to sell the floor model.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've gotten several items at 10%-20% off at Lowes simply because they were displays. However, it typically has to be the only one left.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The store I work at won't sell display cribs or car seats because they might have been compromised by other shoppers and could hurt a baby

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A valid concern.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Typically if this is the case, the store can do a "manager markdown" orange sticker and will place it somewhere up front to try and sell it.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I bought a crib from Babies R Us that was on sale, they were out so I asked for the floor model and got it for a discount plus the sale.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Most if not all stores I've shopped at, including Toys R Us, offer the floor model at a discount if you ask. Even when fully stocked. (1/2)

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

It's legit question if the floor model is the only one left, but not before, imo.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've bought a bunch of floor models. It never hurts to ask! Almost all of them we in brand new condition.

11 years ago | Likes 90 Dislikes 11

I agree, but as a sales associate, we only floor models if there's none left in the box. It doesnt make sense for us to then have to 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Build and discount a new one just cuz someone wanted it cheaper. 2/2

11 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I've had a couple give me the floor model just to get the sale, and I've done it myself as a salesperson. If you get paid by the sale, 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

it's a good trick. If you get paid by the hour, there's no reason to discount anyways.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

And I just got 30% off a floor model basketball hoop at Toys R Us two weeks ago, so your store DOES do that.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it mostly depends on the owner of the store.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At my store, you won't get the floor model if there's one available in a box. If we let you take the floor model,

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

someone would have to make a new floor model, and we don't have time for your bullshit.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

yeah and then another brand new item has to be opened for display and that destroys profit margins. Only stingy shit heads do that crap.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some stores do sell the floor model, some dont. I work at staples and most of our demo models belong to the manufacturer and arent for(1/?)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sale. When the demo isnt going to be sold anymore theyre sent back to the manufacturer. Some can be sold, most cant. But thats just staples.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But not if there's a dozen boxed up in stock. They usually sell the floor model when they don't have any alternatives.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

People keep saying that, and that's fine, but nowhere in the post does he say there were boxes out on the floor. :P

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Actually some stores have policies against selling baby items from the floor. Because they could be damaged or missing parts.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I got a washer and dryer for almost 500 off, and it was in perfect condition except that it was floor model.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I actually did get a discounted floor model Glider from babies r us, it was about 10% off. Loved that thing too, it was amazing!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At Best Buy you can buy the floor models for cheaper. Js.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, Walmart does this regularly. Whether there's inventory or not.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not to mention, that if we put a new floor model up, then someone will just want that one at a discount. it hurts the business

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We only sell floor models if it is the only way to purchase the product. No point in giving a discount repeatedly on products.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep. Got a great deal on a sofa coz of this!

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a legit question, and they aren't being stingy, they're trying to save money while the OP's store rapes them of their cash.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Usually only if the ones in boxes are sold out/discontinued. Selling the discounted floor model on a currently available item is useless

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m in retail as well. We’re not allowed to sell the floor model if there are boxed ones still available. Stop asking.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's how I got my son's crib for a decent price.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a legit question, and they aren't being stingy, they're trying to save money while the OP's store rapes them of their cash.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

True... When there are no others left in the store.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most if not all stores I shop at, including Toys R Us, will discount on display items if you ask. Yes, even on fully stocked items. (1/2)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Car seats have expiry dates. If the floor model and box model have the same date and I can't resell, I'll take a discount please. (2/2)

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So in that case people can just keep on asking for the display item at a discounted price until they are out of stock.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

This is exactly why we had to change our policy. Losing too much money. We only sell the floor model when it's the only way to buy it now.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is exactly why we had to change our policy. Losing too much money. We only sell the floor model when it's the only way to buy it now.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

After they are done BEING THE FLOOR MODEL.... there is a stock rotation to every store. And some companies want their displays sent back.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem is when a customer asks for the floor model just so they don't pay as much. You only get the floor model if it's the last one

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

depends on the industry - shoe sales, you always discount if asked bc many ladies stick their too large, unwashed feet into the floor model

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At my job you get 10% if there is a visible mark or damage but if there's no damage then no discount.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I should clarify - I worked for Macy's. My store would basically give you a discount on anything if you grovelled hard enough

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometime if its a few dollars and the customer is nice I'll do it but if you're an ass or making a mess nope.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yep - it was usually only 10% or 15% off at most... but Macy's also liked to placate the asses. It was sad

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Usually the more psychologically unappealing the floor model is, the better the odds of a discount. :p

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With baby items, especially cribs, strollers, carseats, etc you REALLY should spring for new. Who knows what people have done to the (1/?)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Floor models. Most stores don't let you buy floor models & plenty companies make floor models with signs/tags prohibiting them from (2/?)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Being sold. It's a matter of safety. Sure, they PROBABLY haven't been fucked with, but do you really want to chance it? (End)

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Feel like the coupon thing was also legit. We're supposed to help each other out, not be dicks!

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Yeah, but all of our coupons are sent mostly through email these days, so its the costumers responsibility to bring in any coupons.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Management was probably against it. At my last job I'd keep a few hidden to use when needed . I felt like the Robin Hood of discounts.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's a legit question. Also, employees give bad info on the phone a lot and not all are mailed coupons. He's probably a shit employee.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 7

I don't know about shit employee. He just sounds fed up. :p

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Judging people for wanting to save money on the expenses of kids and KY jelly for rectal thermometers? Yeah, probably a shit employee.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

As a retail associate, we hate people who ask for the floor model when there's a perfectly good unopened box on the floor already.

11 years ago | Likes 206 Dislikes 14

I tend to ask for the floor models if it's something that you have to build, I'm just not good at that stuff.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Of course, I'll usually first ask if I can pay them to put a new one together for me but if they say no...

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why? Because it would require you to put another floor model up? Seriously, I don't get why a retail assoc. would hate this.

11 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 38

Well I'm not sure what the deal is with all the negativity it was a genuine question...

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because you'd sell the floor model at a discount, then have to open up a box to put out a NEW floor model, which you'll sell at discount 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

as well, meaning you've now sold 2 of those products below your normal price point. Usually floor models are only sold when they're the last

11 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Then discount that one sell it and the cycle continues

11 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 3

It takes the display model, so you have no way of showcasing that product, until another is assembled (which isn't a quick process)

11 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Vendors pay for some displays. So you have loss of that $ if audited, plus the discount for being open, plus new open item if still in stock

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I think the point is most retail workers hate their job & are annoyed by customers.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We have to mark down the price, and build a new model. It's basically like throwing away 30-20% of the full price, nothing to gain from it.

11 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 7

It takes up to two hours to build a new display model, plus we then have to discount the new display when it inevitably deteriorates

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not to mention you have reduced profit for that location x2.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I don't blame you. But then, I've never seen anyone opt for a floor model when a mint box is available. I'm sure it happens tho.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I will get the floor model every time. It's the same shit in the box but with a 10% or more discount. Why would you do the reverse?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's almost as though people don't want to spend tons of money when they don't have to

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've received a 50% discount for a floor model before. The store put a sign on the floor model that advertised it. I snapped that shit up.

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

There's nothing wrong with asking to buy the floor model, just don't be a dick if the answer is 'no'. It's a smart thing to do.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There were 18 boxed units left on the shelf, too. Forgive me for paying $249 for a $499 item - but who wouldn't?

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Because then the store needs to open one of those boxes and assemble a new floor model. And then sell it at a steep discount. Hence: anger.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also if you buy the floor model, we have to open another one and put that out. If its the last one yes, if not, no :)

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Not to be rude, but isn't your job to answer questions? I was an office clerk and got asked dumb questions all day, but it's my job.

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Eh.. it's not really a question for information though. It's a question to try to save money. If there isn't a boxed one, then sure w/e 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

ask away, but asking for a floor model discount when there is a boxed one is just rude. "Sure have that cheap and lemme just open this 2/3

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

perfectly good new one and now it can be the floor model that someone will ask for a discount on!" 3/3

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Right, but that's my point. If I want to save money, and I have a question on how to do so, why are you upset that I took the time to ask?

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've rarely had someone ask for the floor model when there is something else available mind you, and on those occasions, they were asses >_>

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because by specifically asking for a discount to take the floor model, you're also asking me to do something that loses my employer money.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but while the product is still on the shelf?

I wouldnt buy a TV floor model. Its been running non stop for weeks/months. They often have dead pixels

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There's no harm in asking though. If you can't offer a discount just say no . Don't make it sound like it's unreasonable to try and save.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sometimes it's the last of the item available, that's usually when it gets discounted. Never tried to take the display model with others out

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've bought many pieces of floor model furniture that was discounted at big name furniture stores (Rooms to Go, Ashley's Furniture, etc)

Yep. I've purchased a floor model stroller from Babies R Us and no one had a problem with it.

Did you buy the floor piece while they had one of the same model in stock at a discounted price?

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I asked to buy the floor model because I didn't want to assemble a stroller. They said no problem. At checkout, I asked for a discount 1/2

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

due to wear and tear, they said no problem. 2/2

Why are they having children if they can't afford it?

You're right, and that's a problem. There's plenty of ways to avoid pregnancy and people need to be educated, not coddled by taxing others.

As a father of a 9 weeks old, w0rd!

11 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

As a mom... Babies dont have to be expensive. Cloth diapers, second hand shops and yard sales. Only thing you NEED to buy new is a carseat

11 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

Cloth diapers are SHITE...literally! The money you "save" on not buying disposable diapers you spend on laundry

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Then your laundry routine is wrong. 2 extra loads of laundry a week. Our bills went up a total of $5 a month

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And cot mattress.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But you dont 'need' a cot/crib, just a safe place to put baby which generally is a crib. If you are using a crib, yes a new mattress too

What about a stroller?

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, used strollers are just fine. I just got one for $20 that retails for $150 by shopping used.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Baby wearing. And you can make your own using safe materials for cheap.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Depends. I was given the option to buy display model of my monitor because it was the last in stock. But I went to another store.

11 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is exactly what my point was. We sell the displays if we have no other model to sell. Not sure how everyone's missing the point.

11 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sheesh. Sorry people are ripping at you OP, the question gets old and you can't help with it. I get it.

11 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don't get it man, I don't even make the rules. It's a multimillion dollar-a-year-per-location store for a reason. They're a business.

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

I reached a point in my retail-ish job where I didn't even bother answering the obnoxious questions, sent them straight to management.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Don't worry, OP. People nowadays feel like they're entitled to everything. I get what you mean about the floor models.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As somebody who used to work for a major furniture retailer: we would sell floor models at discount, yes.

11 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

And then put another display out and sell that for a discount? Till you sold your whole inventory at a discount on display?

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Almost every retailer in the world will only do that when it's the last of their stock, and being replaced with something new.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Did you sell those floor models when you had plenty of that exact item in stock?

11 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

Well, it wasn't quite like that since the warehouse was not on-site.

11 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't want to sound rude here (but people will take it that way regardless it seems...) but that's a completely different situation, then.

11 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

And now you have no display for the next customer.

11 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Not sure why you're phrasing it that way; not like it was my decision lol. I was 19 and processing invoices. Settle down.

11 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I seriously bought a floor model crib from Babies R Us. Perfect condition too.

11 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

Does it say "DO NOT SELL" on the bottom? Our floor models come in with those words. Returned cribs built and are resold.

11 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 26

Not at all.

11 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Not sure why you guy's are downvoting OP. It's entirely possible that diff stores have diff policies on the sale of floor models.
