And also Samantha Power can go straight to hell for her role in selling the destruction of Libya to the Obama team. When R2P turns into open-air slave auctions and complete destruction of what was a nation with the highest standard of living in Africa.

It's a nice thought, but best not to rile these murdering psychopaths, they have a long reach.

If Russia had nuclear missile capabilities, they would have used them already. It's hard to believe that Putin has nukes but can't drive a tank successfully in Ukraine.

You can tell it's photoshopped by the way its photoshopped.

He ded.
No, really, this guy died in 2017. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vitaly_Churkin

Natural death? i.e. falling off a window and he naturally died?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was Putin's faithful lapdog, so... who knows?

Literally has two right arms in this photo.

Tiny octopus points out that this is an obvious photoshop, but it is still a mood, given that the gentleman sitting is the Russian ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin. The woman is the US ambassador, Samantha Power. And this was when Russia vetoed a UN resolution which said that their annexation of Ukraine's Crimean Peninsula was illegal.

So Russia basically said, we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing.

I only have one suggested edit to this post. ".. that the PERSON sitting..."He is no "gentleman". I bristle when the title is used to refer to people who, most definitely, do not exhibit gentlemanly character. I have other titles for them which are best left unused in polite company. I will not be taking questions. Carry on.

How is it that when a single country is under investigation, that country can keep their veto power.

Vetos at the UN are fucking stupid.

Russia's takeover of Crimea was predicated on an election, heels there, to which international observers were invited. The OSCE didn't go. Their legal justification was that because of the precedent set by the referendum in Kosovo, Crimeans could decide which country they wanted to be a part of. Both the operations (NATO bombing of Serbia as well as Russian takeover of Crimea) were not sanctioned by the UNSC, making them technically illegal.

Yet another example of why there should be no permanent seats nor veto powers.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Damn, she looks like she is fighting to keep her arms at her side, lol

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Appreciate the fact checking. Keep up the good work.

Russia should not have been allowed to keep the USSR’s permanent seat and veto power.

This

No country should have permanent veto power, that's how we ended up with the situation with Israel and Gaza now.

1 year ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 3

Rofl excuse me russia has the power to veto making something that they themselves are doing illegal? How does the UN even function?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

The 5 permanent members of the UN Security Council have a right to veto any resolution. The US, the UK, France, China and Russia. They can effectively block anything going against their interests, which they have all done at some point. Some more than others. The country doing it the least is China, surprisingly. They usually choose to abstain.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow that's fucked dude

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a good reminder that the U.N were created by the victors of WW2. None of them wanted to create an organisation that could go against their interests. They made sure they'd keep the car keys at all time. I want a U.N reform but if we're being realistic, that's never going to happen. Good luck convincing any of them to let go of the keys.

great gesture but the hand looks very much photoshopped.

"Its an older meme, sir, but it checks out."

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

For a start it's a left hand on a right arm, lol.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It's weird, but it is the right hand. If it was the left we'd be looking at her thumb.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah I dunno what the hell I was thinking I'm blatantly wrong.

It is. Real photo
