My husband and I have been getting into DnD 5e, and for Christmas we got each other a bunch of gaming merchandise. I was amazed by the dice set he wound up getting me. They were such a pretty shade of blue and rolled high, but the best part?

... THEY GLOW IN THE DARK! They were so bright we could pretty much see everything in the bathroom with the door shut. I'm beyond pleased.

Happy gaming in the new year to one and all!

EDIT: Everybody wondering where to get these can find them on Amazon here: http://a.co/apmZoK8 They have a few glow in the dark colors but they ship from China so it may take a while to arrive!

I have that set and they are so cool. Not that I play in the dark that often but I still love them.

Got these for my girlfriend as a Christmas present. They're pretty great. I'm actually thinking of grabbing the red ones they offer.

Yo, just started my first dnd 5e session last week

Now if it just would be practical to play D&D in the dark you'd be all set.

Yup and now when you see new dice on display in their glorious little cubes... you'll think you need more. ; ; I NEED TO STOP BUYING DICE!

@op, where did you get these? I can't seem to find any good glow in the dark dice.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn, maybe I can't see them because apparently I'm blind. Please disregard the comment xD

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After using GameScience dice for so long it's weird seeing dice with rounded edges; but at least they're easy to read both ways, so awesome!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's amazing! Where did he get these?!

I got a DnD starter set for Christmas! So excited to learn a new and involved game!

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

So did I :D

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The starter set is a great start, but the player's handbook is a must imo. Maybe use an online pdf if you don't want to shell out the $30-50

Joining a D&D group was one of the best things I ever did. Hope you have a great time!

I'm going to be doing The Storm King's Thunder adventure module here soon. Wonder if I should post what happens on imgur.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Remember that there's no real spoiler warning. Posting stuff that happens in a published module could ruin it for others.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Storm Kings Thunder is great, it's like King Lear but with giants!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That was a good book. Lots of fun.

I've seen stranger things... Sorry. Couldn't help myself.

No spoilers I'm still on season 1

Started watching season two tonight...

Those are pretty dope rocks yo. How long do they retain a decent glow? Can I roll an entire 4 hour session?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

After sitting in the sunlight, it was still glowing around 3 hours later, but I lost track when it stopped entirely :< it lasts a while tho!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks, that will do nicely. Ill just chuck em under a light during our pee break. ;)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Has to be sunlight or UV I think. Under a regular light they didn't glow!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good luck. Pretty dice give shit rolls.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I'm happy to report the first three rolls were 18, 16, and 12 respectively :>

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think pretty dice are just opinionated. My sparkly pink dice only roll well for single men, they've been used by every player in my group

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's true too. My friend used the same pretty dice I did and got great rolls.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that true?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No idea. In my experience whenever I used nice and pretty dice I've rolled shit. But when I use ugly and mismatched ones I get great rolls.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Um. Why were you playing D&D in the bathroom?

8 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 3

My question too! Nice one!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because the echo from a dry bath-tub would make the mood perfect for creepy dungeons and Orc-ridden caves.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My guess is that they failed their saving throw.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WHY NOT play in the bathroom? not like anything could go wrong OH NO HE ROLLED A 1 ON AIM OH GOD IT'S EVERYWHERE!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can't show your Ds in front of grandma.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The bathroom is generally the designated check out glow-in-the-dark things area

For those of us without enormous closets, yes.
