She literally handed a fork. It is a metaphorical passing of the torch.

#14 I live in New England. You can get this at any of our thousands of ice cream shops. You don't want it; trust me on this. It's way too much dairy to be enjoyable, no matter how delicious it is.

#3 that's a dinglehopper, not a fork.

2 years ago | Likes 329 Dislikes 3

I came here to say the exact same thing!

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I found a dinglehopper while SCUBA diving. I was extremely saddened that most people called it a fork when I showed it off. Luckily, my daughter knew what it was and was thrilled.

Honestly Poseidon was just as bad. Medusa was cause he raped a beautiful priestess, she was then cursed so no man could look upon her.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I will point out, this version of Medusa's origin is specifically only attested by the Latin poet Ovid. In the original Greek, Medusa was just another of the Gorgons. She's just like that. That said, Poseidon does other horrible things, anyway.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Even if it’s not true I really preferred the version where her transformation wasn’t punishment, it was protection. She was changed and given power so it would never happen again, even by a god.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Cursed ... By yhe goddess she worshipped. Poseidon raped her in Athena's temple where Medusa was a priestess. Athena either granted her "fuck YOU!" powers as protection or cursed her in a "blame the victim" mood.

#3 still ticks me off. I'm so tired of remaking ips just to renew copyright. She has 6 fucking sisters thats could have AMAZING stories written about them. Maybe one day they'll explore it

#17 I hate these things with a passion, but I am tempted to get this cause it made me laugh

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

There are better versions that use properly proportioned figures.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Don't get the Goku joke. And you hate.... Dolls? With a passion? So the inverse is true, you passionately love, other dolls? How do you choose which ones to love or hate?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 22

I know literally zero things about DBZ but even I get this joke.

POP Vinyls are pretty much just millennial Beanie Babies, with exactly as much worth.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

beanie babies at least werent where character design goes to die

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's Yamcha, it's a figure not a doll (ment for display not play), and I imagine they don't like that the proportions are so exaggerated.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Nah, I just hate them. Nothing to do with the proportions. I can't really put a specific thing that makes me hate them, could be that there is one for eveything and doesn't need to be

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's fair. I'm not a fan of them either.

It's pretty obvious by now Disney sequels are terrible. They always feed off the success of the original movie whenever they make a new ip.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Most of the remakes and sequels are just for copyright extension purposes. Look at the interval between them.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Return of Jafar and King of Thieves were fantastic movies, though. The animation not being their top tier work is fine, the stories are great.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I would disagree about return of jafar, but king of thieves was definitely good

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

King of Thieves is just like Cinderella 3. Way better than it had any right to be and came after a shite sequel.

#4 were the sequels direct to video? If so that instantly explains the quality shift. The original Aladdin was a major movie and unless Little Mermaid was first it was also the initiation of the 1990s Disney revival period.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

When trying to launch a new IP they're willing to invest into making sure it takes off. Once it's established they can cheap out and start milking it because people will watch the sequel regardless.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast both came before Aladdin.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I never liked Aladdin when it came out. Didn't appreciate Robin Williams humor till later in life, and the movie is so much better when you get the jokes.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

ahh yeah you are right, TLM was 1989. FUCK, means I was 9 when I saw it in theaters. excuse me I will go cry in old now. and then take a Tylenol for inevitable joint pain caused by crying in old.
