You know he couldn't stop laughing for a while, and then stayed stoic enough just to take this.

I can tell you with no uncertainty that his sunglasses are too fucking small for that gargantuan head.

Ha

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Seriously? What's wrong with that?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just looked it up- that's Japanese for "daily lesson". Looks like you need quite a few.

I've been going through Japanese single malts lately and they're super good.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Agreed. They get a lot of flack from scotch snobs, but screw em, they’re awesome.

Just wait until he goes to Hungary and finds out about our most famous cough drops.

Nikka black is the shit. Fuckin' tasty rot-gut pirate whiskey.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Even the label looks like it wants a fight.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do black people want to be discriminated against? It doesn't matter if Japanese people are black or white or such ridiculous things.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Protest it and start a riot. That seems to make things better. I'm still looking for an example though.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bartender: "What you want to drink?" "Nikka, please!" OP, probably.

8 years ago | Likes 112 Dislikes 2

Probably is one hella good drink too.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nikka is actually a distillery / brand of products. Just ordering a "Nikka" wouldn't tell the bartender much.

And here's the guy that kills the joke, ladies and gentlemen.

Dude on the label be like "haha, hoho, heehee"

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't be too shocked when everyone in China uses "nigga" as their "ummm"

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

I thought “nega” meant, “that?”

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Jega means that if I'm remembering right

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, Zhege (Jega) means "this", Nage (forceful inflection on a) means "that", and Nage (down-up inflection on a) means "which"

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Alright then why was all the beijingers saying nege when they were thinking, I asked them too, they told me it meant umm and it fit

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't make the rules, im sorry. But you have to buy that.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

was it good?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's tasty as fuck.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thats some tasty nikka

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didn’t try it, however their higher quality stuff is quite good (Taketsuru, Miyagikyo, Yoichi, Whisky from the Barrel).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Jap whiskey is actually quite good. Come off of your fucking hang ups, realize you've made it to weeb nirvana and enjoy the ride.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Yep, Yamazaki is my favourite! Which, as a Brit, I think means I'm committing some sort of treason against Scotland...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah...cause the Brits have always respected the Scots;)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Um...the Scots ARE Brits. I think you're thinking specifically of the English.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should be OK as long as you haven't put ice and coke in it while pelting Scotch eggs at the wall.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Scotch eggs are English :op

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OK, change that to watching Rab C Nesbitt with the subtitles on.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My Mum's from Glasgow but has lived in England since she was 13, she got upset when she realised she couldn't understand Rab anymore!

Japan's oldest scotch distillery, been around since the 1930's. See: http://www.nikka.com/eng/founder

8 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I love their stuff. Nikka Yoichi 15 is my favorite, but they stopped making aged varieties. The bottle I have is the last I'll ever see.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very good whiskey too

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

"FROM THE BARREL" is my favorite whiskey.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They make some of the best whisky in the world!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Its possibly my favourite brand of whiskey (Although I haven't tried too many expensive ones)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To be fair, Japan also owns Jim Beam and Maker's Mark, so...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a conglomeration between the states and Japan. Beam-Suntory

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The founder of Nikki worked for Suntory for 10 years then left to start his own distillery in 1934.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Japanese can't make scotch. Scotch is Scottish. That's like saying an Irish bourbon, no such thing.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 19

Can we talk about the "french mustard" that exists everywhere except in France ? Or "greek yogurt" that comes from Turkey ?

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Or Great Dane dogs that come from Germany?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't know why you're downvoted. Scotch is clearly a regional appellation for whisky from Scotland.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Next time I see someone enjoying Grey Goose I'll be sure to say French can't make vodka.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 5

"Vodka" isn't a region-specific name though. The drink is "whisky", "Scotch" refers to whisky from Scotland.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Of course it is, it's from Vodka Belt.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is technically true; nikka whiskey is still fantastic however, I also recommend yoichi single malt.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Visited the distillery last time in Japan, was uber impressed. Also, heavens smoked upon us cause at the airport /1

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We found 2 bottles of Nikka 25yr (they go for $1000USD a bottle) /2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

oh my, quite an investment! sounds lovely however.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

is the difference between the two just where they're made? are you telling me scotch and bourbon are a regional thing? genuine question btw

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's a little bit of location and process. There are American whiskys that aren't bourbon, JD for example.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As much about marketing as anything else. You can make Champagne outside that region of France, but they will sue to prevent calling it that

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually they're not, "Scotch" and "Bourbon" are indicative of the manufacturing process, not where they're made.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

I'd argue that the "whisky" is indicative of the process (distinct from "whiskey" for example). Scotch is clearly a regional appellation.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I admit you got a point here.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At least they're trying.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No he means it's a legal naming thing. Scotch is Scottish whiskey only. This is Japanese whiskey. Japtch perhaps.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

No. It's a manufacturing thing. Nothing to do with location.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Erm it's both. Bourbon has to be in the states, scotch - Scotland and Pot Still whiskey - Ireland

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? I was told it had to be distilled and bottled in Scotland and aged for a min of 3 years to be scotch. That not right?
