This is what started it all. I made a watermelon pirate ship for my daughter's book fair last year....it was a huge hit...

With the leftover watermelon, I 'carved' a turkey for Thanksgiving.....

And I found that I really love making art out of food... and I'm also kinda good at it....

So I shared what I did on Facebook and offered my services not expecting much....

But I immediately got an order for another pirate ship (pictured) .....

And more people have been showing interest, and I have some appointments this week!!!! Forgive my shameless self promotion, but I'm super excited. Check out my pages

Just be certain that you take the time to learn and adhere to good food safety practices. Fruit art has a reputation for food borne illness.

My dad told me that getting paid for something you enjoy doing is the key to finding a happy working environment - helps if your good at it.
