Edit:
FlexLatch.com for all those who are asking!

I’ve been working on this video and need some feedback!

How many of you have dogs AND cats? Please help me get some data by letting me know where you keep your litter box!

I have a seperate room for the cats, blocked off with an internal gate. Otherwise, WIR with a babygate!

While an interesting product, the simple construction will lead to Alibaba or Amazon dups eating away any online sales. Diversify products.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damnit, no shipping to Denmark ? I've been looking for EXACTLY this, guess I'll have to keep looking

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

one set in the bedroom, where the dog only goes when we're there. One set behind a partially-propped door with a spring holding it closed.

4 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

So what you're saying is, this is an ad.

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I keep ours in the basement, and had to but in a cat door to keep my dogs from going down there on their own. This would've been awesome

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not this again. How much free advertising do you want?

4 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 27

The amount of personal advertising on imgur these days is annoying. Kind of amazing so much of it gets to the front page.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

While I do agree, it’s social media. There’s always going to be someone promoting something as well and those who are interested in it.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

litter boxes and pupper food belong in different rooms. you're a monster.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

i think it is a visual to describe why the latch on the door is needed for the litterbox

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Two litter boxes in the cats room, two in the hallway and one in the laundry.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I keep it right next to my spam report box.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Thanks for the feedback!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 20

This #ad was posted last month. Why is it on the front page again?

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Not sure, it was resurrected

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 22

Top entry lidded boxes that are too tall for the poop eater to raid. The other dogs ignore the boxes completely.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Smart

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

This looks like something that would be easy to 3D print.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It totally would! But making it functional wouldn’t be easy. This has stainless steel inside of it for strength and rigidity.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I bought one and use it to hold the door in my garage open when I’m using my smoker in the winter. Works great!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s a great idea!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Oh hey it's an ad! I've seen these before

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Does it use a magnet or something? I don't see how a few jostles wouldn't knock the pin out of the door jam.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It has pretty strong pressure into the door frame. It won’t jostle out.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

We have Malinois, we cannot have cats, nor can have children....for very long.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I keep it in the laundry room, this would help

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you’re interested in more info it’s FlexLatch.com I just opened it a couple weeks ago.

small hole in the bottom of the door and 3d printed a cat-eared portal that also combs their fur when they crawl through. No shibas allowed

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That’s so smart! Post pictures

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Um.. lemme see if I have on my phone. Traveling for work

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

In the coat closet (sans coats) and in the bathroom. Gods speed, bud!!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

Cat door

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Easy answer

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

That’s what we use too

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy crap I need 12. Do you have anything for a sliding door with no handle????

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No I don’t. Not yet anyways! Check out the website anyways

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Is it magnetized? I feel like this would slip out too easily. We have a latch we had to secure to the door and the frame.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There’s a lot of outward pressure into the frame.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I bought one and worried it would slip out too. But it’s super springy when attached so it stays really strong in place with no problem.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

My cats little box and food is in the laundry room, we use a baby gate to keep the dog out

4 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

Me too! My cats have a bedroom, litter in the bathroom, and food in the laundry. All three doors have baby gates so only cats can jump over

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Mine is in laundry room, under the sink. I removed the cabinet doors to the sink and put a curtain instead.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ooh, that's a good idea. Much lower key than fiddling a pet door (esp if renting xD)

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me 3! Litter box is the great outdoors via pet door but baby gate to wall off cat food room. PITA to go over gate every time. But...

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

door swing in to room, making this solution a little less appealing. A little.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Mine is a swing door, so thankful those a a thing now!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

stop uploading this under false pretences. every time a different caption, with a different question in it. keep ads off of imgur fuck sake

4 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 4

Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 48

Similar to the "I made a game" ad... or the "I painted this" ad... about once a day for weeks. Stop, Fuck off

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

It’s social media. You won’t always agree with everyone. Maybe you should try to contribute instead of trolling.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 10

Maybe you should fuck off and buy some ads.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Thanks for the insight! Sorry you’re so mad.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Links? I only see one time uploaded from op.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because he deletes the old ones so that he doesn't look like a serial abuser when the mods look at his post history. Keep reporting him.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

he takes the post off of the gallery and reuploads it. go back 3 wks in his comments and press context and it'll take you back here

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah I defended the idea the first time I saw it but this has gotten ridiculous. 3D print it and fuck this guy for his ToS violation.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Upstairs in the open. My dog can come upstairs when invited, but not otherwise. Doesn’t go up when I’m not home because he is a good boy.

4 years ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 4

Wish my roommates dog was that well behaved. She will climb up on my sofa and over everything to get at the cat food on the end table..

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Good boys are the best boys.

4 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 4

My bunny never goes into the bedroom. He did it once and i told him NO and he just knows not to go in. He gona chew everything up

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I’m so proud of how well you trained your dog.

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Thank you, internet stranger. I adopted my cat and dog within a few days of each other and I wanted the upstairs to be a "safe space" for

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

the cat while they get acclimated. I don't have to reinforce much now, but early on it was just maintaining a rigid and organized structure.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

That’s beautiful

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Dude I saw this last time you posted it. I totally understand what it is just based on the video and I want two.

4 years ago | Likes 133 Dislikes 9

I’ll need one for my kids. That way it’s easier to hear them through the opening but they also can stay away.. just kidding……….

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

This is so incredibly handy! Wow great idea! I know have another reason to get a cat

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I bought one a week ago and it's pretty damn great!

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I would love a couple action shots if you can!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Me too, but no shipping to Canada

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

International shipping is stupid expensive

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

FlexLatch.com if you’re interested

4 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 13

No, since you seem to have created a torment of Tantalus for the dog, which is pretty evil.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

22 dollars for one? the fuck lol

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

And 22 is such a weird amount. $9.95 would be reasonable and a two pack for like $17.95. I'm interested & would want two but $44 seems high.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Does that seem expensive for you?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 12

To me? Yes. But you’d have to sit down and figure up the cost of labor, materials, expendables (glue, sand paper, etc.), advertising, >>

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

it seems expensive for what it is. i got baby gates for a similar price is all.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Yes. It's a very simple piece of plastic. Imgurians will be 3D printing them.

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

It has stainless steel molded inside of it. Thanks for the feedback! I can always lower the price if needed, but raising would be tough.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Yes! That’s triple what it should cost. It’s a flexible piece of plastic with a pin. Phenomenal idea and execution, outrageous price. GLWS

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Thanks!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Show the dog failing to get in. I didn't understand the purpose until I read. Which means, your video is lacking this context. Good quality

4 years ago | Likes 222 Dislikes 52

Anyone that owns dogs and cats understand the context. Especially after showing a shot of cat food

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I thought it was obvious. Anyone who has a need for it will be able to parse the context.

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

But why be obtuse when you want to reach a broad market?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Now, this comment is really confusing to me, because the vid very clearly shows the dog failing to get in??

4 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I missed it. I blinked.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks so much! Excellent honest feedback

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 4

Maybe show a litterbox instead of food, since food might not need to be separate, but a litterbox likely does.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Perfect! Thanks

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Or use an obvious cat bowl. Maybe put a dog emoji with an X over it? Maybe words to explain

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wont some1 who sees this just infer its to block dog for various reasons? It shouldnt need a video for food, litterbox, trashcan, baby, etc.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

But why male models?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you're marketing something, you want it to be clear why they would want it. Just because they know it's for blocking a dog, doesn't mean

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they'll think of a reason why they would want to block the dog in the first place. Without that reason, they wouldn't buy the product.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But he DID show the dog failing to get in, and then immediately answered my next question of "Won't the dog just close the door?" It can't!

4 years ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 2

Uh.. either I mixed up the bloodhound for the cat or... @OP updated the vid?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 31

No I haven’t updated it. I think they’re trying to communicate that I should show the dog getting in and then not being able to get in after

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

It's a bit confusing that we see the dog trying to get in and in the next shot it looks like as if he's on the other side bc of the

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

different angle, as if he's succeeded.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

I honestly didn't see the dog.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

It took mea moment to figure it out because of the change of the shot - the dog was shown outside the room, attempting to enter, then /1

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

/2 the next show was apparently from inside the room with the dog looking in. That sudden of a shot change made it seem more like a time

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Gotcha
