The first time you pull up to light on your 'old' bike.....you're gonna fall.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Great bike for my unstable personality

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Before everyone flips their shit, it only works under 3 mph

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

God dammit, your username gets me every time you sick bastard. Motorcycle is cool too I guess. +1

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not sick, but I'm not well.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I want a pet motorcycle! It can sleep in my bed!

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Is your bed vertical? Pet motorcycles hate horizontal.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dammit! Take my money!!!!!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd have that bike following me around my flat for the first week. "This is so cool." "Stop having the bike follow you." "No."

Soon:

"Terminators soon"

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The physics and math behind this is so complex it is mind boggling that they actually got it working.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuckin' neato. Now I can drink and ride

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Um no

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Really, Mom! It followed me home. Can I keep it?

My bike does the standing still bit, easily. It's called a stand!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But can it follow you out the door

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"the standing still bit"!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Awww, it's like a puppy dog

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

More like a cub. *winks* *winks*

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

a puppy dog you can coast on top of

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Would be great for really short riders like my girlfriend who have a hard time handling parking lots and stop lights.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not to mention giving people with various disabilities the chance to ride.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you have difficulty putting your feet on the ground, you're riding the wrong bike. Simple as that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She has very few choices, this bike would chance that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This. +1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How does it handle speed wobbling ?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Supposedly the auto-balancing stops after you pass 3mph, so it'll likely still happen.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would assume it wouldn't even let you get into that situation.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm sorry, but did it just look both fucking ways when leaving the building?! That's adorable as fuck!

9 years ago | Likes 2118 Dislikes 3

LOL I was like oh this is nice awe look at the whittle pet Honduh duh duh....wait it looked both ways! I died

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Kawaii as fuck**

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

The robots... they're becoming self-aware!!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yep, scanning and processing the environment.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It has the same faith in humanity that I do

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I think it was just losing balance because it stopped and needed to adjust a little more aggressively. Possibly there was also wind outside.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I am guessing that it is compensating for the wind outside the building.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I feel like it just said "meh" and moved on.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Guessing it's scanning the larger environment for obstacles so it can map out how to continue following the tech lady, still cute :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone off camera is pushing on the back. It doesn't do that when it passed though the previous door. It is pretty funny though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See, this is why robots are just going to take over the human race...and when it happens I'm not even going to be surprised.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think this is mask rider's new ride.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You mean scary. The machines are learning!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Machines have been learning for a long time, it's pretty cool what they can do after a while

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"What?! I'm finally free?"

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

im asuming the sensors are not 180 degrees and need to do this to see both sides

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Bingo.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

or the better ones are facing forward. I know I would have some lesser sensors on the sides for safety

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or terrifying! The machine will take over

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

I remain unconvinced that this will be worse.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If it looks both ways before going somewhere it's already an improvement over the current lead. Also it's adorable.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I, for one, welcome our new safety-conscious and well-mannered robot overlords.

oh man that adjustable rake

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure i'd be slowly sliding it up and down at traffic lights.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it's a motorcycle.

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

xD

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok dad

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I know that it will make a difference while driving, but I can't guess or imagine exactly what. Care to explain?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

the more raked out it is - ie the farther from vertical the forks are - the more stable it is at low speed and the less twitchy it is.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

the less raked out it is, the easier and more accurate it is to turn in and out of corners.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I love it, there's just one problem, how smart is it? Is it smart enough to know the proper curve angle on a hilly mountain road at 90mph?

9 years ago | Likes 377 Dislikes 10

Well it does say "assist".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take it easy Evel Knievel.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No I want my bike firmly attached to the ground, doing 90 on a windy road is the funnest thing in the world.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

90mph? This system probably makes this sport bike the same weight as a harley. Good luck getting to 90mph.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Uhh... my Harley goes 90 mph...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This comment thread specifically mentioned a mountain road. If you're getting a harley up to 90 in the twisties, call a Moto GP team asap.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was my first thought aswell, i dont want to ride into a tree because my bike tried to straighten up on a twisty

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is way way easier to do

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At this point, if it isnt that smart yet, it will be soon enough.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could it even drive on a cold, rainy, winter night in Stoke?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I imagine it would be excellent for riding on shitty roads. Depending on how fast it corrects itself, you could probably ride on snow/ice

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it only works at under 3 mph

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea, I only read that after I posted this. It makes way more sense now!

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

How exactly does the posi-trac rear end on a Plymouth work!?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Does it know it's favorite colour?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Only works under 3 mph

9 years ago | Likes 227 Dislikes 0

Thats really when u need it. After that the traction keeps the bike straight

hi-oooooooo

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Oh, man, this speaks to me.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Username checks out.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I dont think it drives itself at 90 mph dude.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I was working off the assumption that if you were driving it that it would know how to balance itself. Not that it would steer itself.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

A motorcycle in motion will balance its self through angular velocity of the wheels, caster, and camber force.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Science rules

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I thought it had been shown that the angular momentum is not enough to balance a bike, and no one really knows why it happens.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As it has been explanedvto me, no angular momentum will not keep a bike stable on its own it has more to do with camber forces caster 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don't really have to balance after a cetrain speed.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yes you do. It will go straight but it doesn't steer itself.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

No, you really don't have to balance a bike if you're going straight at a certain speed. And you just said you understood about steering.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Balancing isn't the same as going straight. Balancing means the bike stays upright. Going straight and turning involve moving the CoG. 1/2
