I'd love to have a companion animal, and if I could be a good companion to my pet, maybe I'd get a pet. But there's more than enough chaos in my life as it is, so I'm not leaving an animal alone in my personal space while I'm at work all day. This is an extreme example, but it's exactly why I don't get a pet.
People really should start considering lithium batteries like the potential hazard they are. Numbers of those angry pillows I had to deal with just because people would drop it in the toilet, let the kid hammer it or left it baking in the sun...
Leave them out of reach of anyone and anything that can damage them...
And those things are hard to put out. Even with the special storage I built with concrete and sand, I have to empty a whole special extinguisher on it and I still have to call the firefighters each time one blows out before I can dispose of it.

Yup, dogs are jerks.

Buy your dog a bone next time. Can get one from the pet store or butcher.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST @OP, fuck YOU for your shitty title!

Betcha insurance doesn't cover pet damage, and the property ends up defaulting to a bank they own.

Note to self: make sure all batteries are kept up high.
