Congratulations, you now own a dog, from personal experience rescue dogs are the most loyal friend you will ever have

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh and just to clarify, take it to the vet to A) get it checked up and B) to check if its chipped

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Omg he's adorable. How come random doggos never come to my house?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Stray? Looks more like it was lost. You should try to find a way to locate the real owner.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

unfortunately i had to give him up to the local pet clinic as they diagnosed him with porvo and i dont have the money for the shots

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

May I point put that this person maybe taking a picture of him after he/she has cleaned hin up and fed him for a few days?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

you can point all you want but you'll be pointing at a wall the whole time

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take him to the vet, have his chip read out and return to owner. Someone's bawling his/her eyes out for the loss right now.

Goddam it, I never get stray puppies and kittens showing up at my house!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea, I've only found a couple copperheads and a crawdad at my house. :(

I call the the "In the Arms of an Angel" look.

Are strays common in the US?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

With cats moreso than dogs, due to licensing and rabies requirement here.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, because we don't eat them.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Stray cats are much more common than stray dogs. Stray dogs are not common at all compared to other countries I've been to/lived in

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is more likely someone's lost dog than a stray.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but not as much as other countries

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

There are almost no strays in Denmark.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Most North-western countries don't have a lot of strays.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Same dog? Cause I’m still waiting on answers, @OP

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes its the same one

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Could be, even the white markers in the face match...this pup is younger than OPs though

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

no its the same one

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and his paw markings are more extensive than the one above. The gene is called Irish Spotting. Both are S/si. They're also both masked 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sable, or EM/- Ay/- [ky/ky] (Extension, Agouti, Black). ky/ky is important because the dominant forms either hide Agouti entirely or turn2/3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

sable into brindle. So, genetically, they're identical in terms of color. But they aren't the same--White Trim expressions vary on each. 3/3

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks too well fed for stray so maybe someone is looking for him? Gorgeous pupper :)

8 years ago | Likes 109 Dislikes 3

Yea he's a chubber pupper

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

the thing is i was told by someone who saw him go to my house that there was another puppy with him but I never saw that puppy here so idk

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

He may have recently been dropped off by someone that didn't love him. Friends of ours live at the end of the road going into the desert 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

2/2 They always have dogs and cats dropped of by their home. They have enough animals, so they contact the local shelters.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's super sad.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the same problem in UK. People know that I love dogs and cats and I have them dumped on my property. I have camera but I'm not 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reporting them. Better if they dump them at mine then kill them or send them to the streets

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I cannot fathom how people can be so heartless to treat animals in such a manner.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But is it a stray...or an escaped dog from someone else within the area? Should always put up flyers asking for description to make sure.

8 years ago | Likes 185 Dislikes 4

Well, there is a puppy prison nearby. OP better be careful, might have a dog convicted of Felony Cuteness.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Yes that's my dog sorry hahaha yea he gets out sometimes okay give him back now hahah NOW

8 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

Here it's mandatory to have dogs chipped at 7 weeks.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

@OP

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Where? I mean it’s the responsible thing to do, but at least here in Michigan it’s not required

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Netherlands, it's to combat puppy mills and track abusive owners and it's working very well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In Aus "In NSW all cats and dogs, must be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or before being sold or given away, whichever happens first."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So he was actually just over a year old before he got chipped.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With my German Shepherd the vet actually recommended we wait to chip him until we neutered him sim he needed to get put under for both. 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I... think pics of your doggo are required. For science.
