These are all just a fire waiting to happen

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

in WI we have camp fires a lot (in the city, too), all year, just sitting around w/friends, drinking, etc. This would not work.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So. Many. Spiders.

The tree laying down just seems like an insult to trees. Are you fucking sorry!!!

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wood do, would do.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

All I see is a great place for mice and rats to live.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can tell all of these logs have been soaked in wood

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Absofuckinglutely.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you want spiders in your blankets, because that's how you get spiders in your blankets.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Spiders. So many hidden spiders

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Brown recluse. Brown recluse everywhere.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#9 Is that the Norwegian king and queen?

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No fire, ONLY WOOD.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Spiders... spiders everywhere!!!

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Didn't know this was a thing

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Search cordwood. It’s a construction method. I’ve seen it with insulation between an inner and outer wall. Lots of work and lots of wood

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nice but when I make a couch out of legos my wife has to freak on me

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's the wood that makes it good.

5 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 1

THATS WHAT... why will this meme never leave my mind!?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Imagine repeating this winter after winter

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I imagine instead that the “art” piles don’t get touched and they have a reserve pile they actually use.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nobody who burns wood would waste it making art.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know, just me being silly

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s intriguing though. Maybe it’s like sand mandalas where they’re meant to be destroyed and remade?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if they are soaked before placement.

5 years ago | Likes 259 Dislikes 9

Well yeah. that wood make sence.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the blood of trees!

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

5/7 chance

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sorry but I’m stupid... soaked in what?

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

In guilt

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In wood

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Old imgur joke. Somebody wrote "soak your wood in wood" in a comment accidentally and it became a big joke.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. In wood.

Localized entirely within your kitchen?

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not since the accident...

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This is great, but there are gonna be soooooooo many spiders.

5 years ago | Likes 269 Dislikes 4

Just was gonna say, do you want spiders? Cuzthats how u get spiders

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

First thing my daughter said too!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I look at that and think huge yellow jacket nest (assholes of the wasp world) and rattlesnakes. Not to mention termites.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Around here specifically black widows.

I’m glad to live in the yukon

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There aren’t spiders in the Yukon?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not as many and once winter hits it’s guaranteed spider free

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No more than a regular wood pile

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know why but I feel the spiders would be fancier? Normally a Brown Recluse but in fancy wood pile a Brown Howard Hughes.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Lol

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And termites? We had a huge wood pile leaning against our garage. My mom had an old dresser inside the garage, and after a few years she /1

5 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

Termites aren't as common in europe. ?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh nice. Maybe that’s where all these are then.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Beat me with jumper cables

I moved my wood pile into the basement to dry it out. Unbeknownst to me, the wood was home to a colony of ants. Took months to exterminate

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You just needed a better exterminator

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

wanted it moved. When my dad went to lift it, it collapsed because termites had eaten it away. The pest guy was like “Duh, don’t have /2

5 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

your wood pile touching any part of your home.” Lesson learned. 3/3

5 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

so where should one store their wood pile?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We moved ours to about 20 feet away.

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

While I find it kind of cool, I really wonder why it is a thing.

5 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 3

I stack a lot of wood for our cabin in Grand Lake, if I had talent, why not make it art.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It all started with 2 people bragging about their wood chopping and stacking skills, then a fierce competition ensued , and here we are now.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wouldnt take much longer than just stacking your wood for the winter and adds something cool to look at while it dwindles away

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

While humans can be terrible disgusting creatures, they are also very creative.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Where things go wrong is when they are very creative about being terribly disgusting.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sadly yes

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s ART! (Iron Giant gif here)

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I guess I just wouldn't want to tear up my art when it's time to build a fire

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope. Better to freeze to death.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#6 and possibly #10 are traditional stacking methods to let it dry out without building a roof over it (the logs are shingled like a roof)

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because wood piles are boring

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

When I was younger , I did a lot of wood cutting, splitting, and stacking. I was generally quite pleased with usual result.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea but when your doing a winter pile it’s nice to spice it up a bit.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like it mocks the practicality and turns the hard labor into artsy bullshit. I like looking at it but now I've thought about to long.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Totally disagree. We have long winters and looking at your log pile and seeing that art can brighten those long yukon nights
