This is how traceroute works by setting an increasing TTL on successive pings and tracking what sent the error back.

Neat :)

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am always amazed by how many nice pots these people have to bounce ping pong balls off of.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Those pots are for show. They hang in the kitchen and this is what they're used for.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tf why

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That throw looks intricate

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Take 5387..

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

you can see a few extra jump cuts

5 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I guess you haven't met a lot of skilled bowlers because that's basically a requirement to be any good

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

By the slight hand shots and the materials chosen, I think that's a talented lady.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wonder if it would be easier to do the full one once, then shoot a background plate, and just erase the later steps.

5 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Much easier I reckon

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

While you're at it, animating the ball yourself isn't that hard.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I assume they test where to put the next one based on where it lands. Otherwise, there'd be a ton of trial & error. Your way makes sense tho

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought of that immediately but decided they didn't do that for this. The ball lands in similar spots several times, but it's not perfect.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

same thought

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is everyone in on the same joke here, or does everyone not realize that this is a single throw played multiple times?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Watch each throw. It's not, unless I'm missing something. The black wall table thing's reflection shifts multiple times.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

P.S. - Everyone but me is right.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He didnt, just edited the objects out then placed them back in order.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking this. My god. I'd try for half an hour just to get two shots of the same angle and velocity. o.o

5 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 4

I was wondering if it was simply all setup first, then just remove an item in photoshop each loop.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Didn't think of that. That's genius, might try! My next guess was shooting thru a fixed tube or even a ping pong training machine.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bold you two to assume they didn't. I mean, there may have been a launch rig too.

5 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 3

You can see their hand on the right. Though I guess it's not impossible.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can see the hand

5 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

It's a very hand-looking launch rig.

5 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

That's a single shot, cut and edited. Still impressive to make a shot like that, but not as impressive as it implies.

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

No its not watch the balls location to the cup on the second to last for example. It's just a shit tone of takes edited together.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the easy way to have done this clip

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watch each throw. It's not, unless I'm missing something. The wall on the right, the shadows shift multiple times.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, ok, didn't notice the shadow. The cut always happening right before the ball touched the ground/table threw me off.
