It's been a long and bumpy road, but I was just accepted to the Virginia Military Institute, my absolute dream school. I had a lot of doubt if I would be accepted or not and if I can pay for it, but now I can happily say that I will be attending VMI next year!
I am the one on the right. The one on the left is a friend of mine, a third classman at VMI at rhe moment.

Congrats! We have a CPT in my unit that went to VMI. We joke with him about going to band college (because of the hats/uniforms they wear)

For marching band, it's because you can't play a brass properly with a strap around your neck

Under the chin is for the corps with rifles/sabers. Band is just trash.
