Community college in CA used to be $1 per credit before the Jarvis-Gann Initiative kicked in. California residency of at least one year was the only requirement.
The cost of living a healthy and happy life with all basic needs like housing, water, electric, internet, as well as education, vacations and travel taken care of on a healthy planet where all life is valued. Could you even imagine how transformative that would be for every living being on this planet?
Housing. And make housing eligibility based on family size. One person by yourself? $1 apartment or a small cottage. Family of 4? $1 3bd2bath house. Rich douchebag wants a massive mansion in the hills? Sorry we plowed them all for more housing space, here's a $1 apt.
He's having so many kids because he's desperate for someone to love him. Also eugenics. His kids can have a $1 home, he can take a rocket to mars where he can have a $1 home.
Note that it doesn't say YOU get the money. The question isn't "what would you like people to have to pay YOU for that they don't now," it's "what would you like to make the price be $1 for?"
Incidentally, while I think about what my answer would be, I nominate everything sold at dollar stores!
True, but I was fully aware of the intented question, and I still had my answer, which remains, as I feel if college costed less, then more people would attend, and we'd have more higher educated people, and less ignorant fools crawling all throughout our countries and the world and screwing it up with their ignorant BS, and the Earth as an overall would increase in quality and health.
Unintended consequence that no one asked for and no one likes hearing but it's true: if we stopped all oil production over a few months the oil companies wouldn't have any income. Which like, yeah, duh, that would be awesome. BUT then they wouldn't be able to afford to plug up the wells they have. And those wells would very quickly start leaking toxic gases into the environment and oil into the groundwater reservoirs. We've painted ourselves into a corner here unfortunately as there aren't
enough taxpayer money and resources to foot the billions and billions that it would cost to plug them all safely. I would love it if we could transition to renewables overnight, but it would be opening an entirely new can of worms that we're currently not equipped to handle. I just bring this point up to demonstrate that it's unfortunately much more complicated than it should be. We're stuck between a rock and a hard place.

I don't dispute that at all. My observation was directed more at the responses in the image itself than the other comments posted here.

Barrels of oil. Hear me out: It's not worth extracting it for that price, we would transition to clean energy within months.

Jokes on us. They’re already doing a shit job of plugging them

Agreed, but just because it isn't perfect doesn't mean we should give up on it entirely
