That mom's gonna get a letter from the Harper Valley PTA.

One time a parent of one of the kids on my friends-kids soccer team replied back to a group text thinking she was talking to her husband 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Hey big juicy, if you take the kids to soccer practice I'll suck your dick when you get home"... It was a catholic school team also.

I grew up in Ashland!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wait... I live there. This is how I find out there are cougars running around my area? I thought those adds were all scams.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's okay. There was a cougar roaming (actually still at large) the neighborhood a few weeks back. It was hiding under a pine tree (DNR knew

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

exactly where it was), but nobody wanted to go in after it (sane) or tranq it (reasonable). So they left for the night. No camera, nobody

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

watching this cougar in suburban Wisconsin. Wouldn't you know, the fucker wasn't there when they came back the next morning.

And this is why you BCC the mailing list when you send out a mass email to a large number of people.

BBC*

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Email's not new, but somehow it's new enough most people haven't figured it out yet.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yup. Hide the additional recipients

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I literally said to myself the same thing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

BCC doesn't matter, you don't allow anyone (everyone) the permissions to any "all" email group. Only the group admin.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And set delivery restrictions on your mailing lists...

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This. The mailing lists at my Uni can only be used by specific people.

In college we had two instances of reply-allcalypse. Most of the responses were people saying "Everyone needs to stop replying all!!!"

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Same thing in the Army. Reply all: "Please remove me from your distro"

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I once got months of this after the initial reply all. Finally set a rule to block incoming emails from the subject

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Happened to my school. Someone figured out how to email the entire 25,000 school emails, everyone started replying all, shut down the 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

servers within days. It was a nightmare. 2/2

Am I the only one who thinks a college should use spell check on this sort of thing? Siting?

8 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 2

How about colleges employ smart people in the first place, you know? This used to irritate the hell outta me, I went to an honors college.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man have you used the latest outlook? That spell check is terrible. Or maybe its just my companies.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Dude, my outlook is so trash it's not funny, I seriously wish we just used google, all my co-workers use google hangouts anyway.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Spell check works fine on ours which is current. It's the 'are you sure you want to say it like that' highlights that get me.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or you know, just spell check it yourself? That e-mail isn't that long, it's not like it would be that hard

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Spellcheck doesn’t help when a word is spelled correctly as a homonym. Siting vs sighting I agree that a college ought to get it rite/right.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank goodness the police didn't try citing the cougar.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

True. But I mean, a good readover works. Thanks for reminding me to go over everything before I hot send.

What is BCC

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

"Blind Carbon Copy." It copies the email to other recipients without letting anyone know who those recipients are. So you can't reply all.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Its the thing you use to send an email to your friend when blasting a user in email and you your friend to see but not the user.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Big Clingon C*ck

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Blind carbon copy so people can't see or reply to the recipients

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

When you send an email, anyone listed in "BCC" doesn't show up as a recipient. It's a way to send to them

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

nudes without knowing who else is receiving them.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

without anyone else getting their email address.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Blind carbon copy. It’s old school tech language for hiding recipients from each other. So they can only reply to you.

8 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

I'm 30 years old worked in offices most of my career and I never knew this. Jesus Christ...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

primary reason is that you dont give ppls email to others... it is privacy issue and it prevents addresses being collected for spamming

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

BCC is old school now? :'(

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

If you send an email in outlook, you only get to and cc. You have to click on either to see bcc.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

oh that is easy.. it's the application of a stamp that confuses me more.............\

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It harkens back to the days of physical inter-office memos that used actual carbon paper between sheets to make copies. THAT is old school.
