Classical music is still the same as it was 17 years ago.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Classical is a genre, there is modern classical made today and 18th century music which would fall in the "pop" category

Yes!

Makes you think though, what of our music will survive the test of time and be considered classic in the future? My bets on The Beatles

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty damn sure genre of music isnt based on decade, but on the sound being made. Cept for "classic rock", but thats not 'classical'

20 years? That seems too soon. By then, people who listened to this in college will only be 60... Wow, I'm feeling old right now

Some of us listened to that in junior high!

The bumper music as this morning's news went to a commercial was Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit." Not kidding. FOX4, Dallas, TX.

In the same scene was the pepperidge farm joke that family guy stole years later.

9 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 4

they're sorta different jokes with the same subject matter. one's a clear joke about racism the other is a sorta... blackmail joke?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh, hey - Star Trek Beyond stole this joke and made it less funny.

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 17

preeety sure this joke's been around for decades if not longer.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's also in Halo, the Destiny trailers, Doctor Who....it's a really old joke.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Halo 1 also did this joke with Johnson and what sounds like Thrash Metal.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I did love that scene though, it's just the stupid sort of thing Kirk used to do in the original series.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

It makes about as much sense as anything else in JJ's Trek Wars. It's big and dumb and looks cool, just don't think about it.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

This joke is old. Doctor who with Christopher Eccleston already had that one. It is probably even older.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 7

Futurama was before new who.

Wasn't this joke in Demolition Man too?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Demolition man is like if someone time traveled from today and wrote a movie about memes. So the answer is yes.
