Sent this to some friends of mine, cross about its veracity. They responded back with scientific proof. Bless them.

Oh come on, your sergeant only called you a fucking retard to show you he cared. You had to do a LOT more than this to earn that.

They apparently cannot do that anymore... which sucks donkey cock because I was hoping to become a drill sergeant

Can't do what?

I spy with my little eye, someone dressed in CADPAT!

and someone smart enough to take his nametape off before taking a picture for the internet.

Nope, it's still on there. He just suffers from jpeg-itis.

If you dial 911 and put your phone to your ear, you might just be able to hear someone asking what your emergency is

Username checks out

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even in Australia, because too many generations are stupid enough to think that 911 is our emergency number thanks to American movies and TV

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Wait... People here do that? What does it even connect to here?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Redirects to 000 as far as I've been told

my military movie experience tells me his boot should be shinier.

My military experience tells me that he's Air Force, and chances are neither he nor anyone in is chain of command cares.

Probably not, black boots haven't been a thing for a few years.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

SeaBees still wear them if I remember correctly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seabeas are navy. Air force calls them Civil Engineering, they are the same as civilian construction.

Canadian air force has always and still does wear black boots.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They might be Canadian then, only American Navy wears black leather boots in this day and age. Army wears tan and Air Force wears green.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They don't shine boots in the US anymore and haven't for a while. Over 10 years

Thank. Fucking. God.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

and now we finally have the answer as to what went wrong with murica!

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

That's not true. In the Navy we do.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Actually yes we do.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

But he is Canadian. Surely they shine their boots. Also why isn't he wearing red and that mounty hat.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Not 10 years... Oct 2010 was the last the Air Force was authorized BDU wear(with shining boots)

06 for Marines I think.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Navy does.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

They're gay tho

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Just the tip ;)

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I got out 10 years ago July. Right before acu's were mandatory. Best believe you could see yourself in my boots.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I joined Marines in 04 and when I got to fleet Marines were still allowed to wear old school uniforms but not boots. That was if you rated

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes we do...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure they still do, at least their dress shoes, unless they use patent leather (the cheaters!)

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think it depends on branch. You do in Marines. But it's with brasso because that's all you need. It's more like wiping off fingerprints.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dress shoes are patent leather, but still need a shine now and then... unless you need to wear jump boots, which require a lot of polishing

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have got to be kidding.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The boot in the top pic are the army acu boots. There's nothing to shine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All the time I spent polishing boots. Irrationally, this pisses me off. Which is illogical. SMH. Bet I'm not the only one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. It would annoy me too. I think about all the time standing around in formation or waiting for end of day formation at HQ.
