I love playing druids

Absolutely love this story

Wow, I never expected this post to go most viral. Send d&d related stuff like images or stories.

DnD Dumps are my favorite thing on this website

Anyone who upvotes this should also read this: https://rabbiteclair.tumblr.com/post/167355824169/a-video-game-metaphor

If y'all went barefoot more you wouldn't have such sensitive feet that a bloody dice can trump millions of years of evolved toughness.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

+1 just for the googly eyes.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mr bearington was the funniest

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lost my shit at Lady fish bad noddle.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've never played d&d but I've always wanted to try it out

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I missed the eyes on the first book the first time I looked.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I made a bard who instead of a lute or flute has a big ass timpani.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait that guitar looks awfully like a chode....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can someone explain the 1d4 joke for my mom please she doesn’t know about this stuff

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I really need to find a group in my area so i can try this.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sir Bearington story always great

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

first time i ran into a rock nom it killed two of our party and then the ranger wore it's skin for the rest of the game.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The more D&D posts, the more my fucky campaign setting grows and gets worked on... It's been 8 years since I had the first ideas for it...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shadow Napkin is my favorite.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Nah, man, Squidworst.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not a D&D dump without the gazebo.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#2 Help them for XP, then kill them for loot.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really miss playing this game.

8 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 0

I fill that void in my heart with Critical Role. It almost suffices.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Me too :( most of my old group turned out to be literally crazy and ruined all the fun.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You managed to get a game? I always seem to land a group of near-sociopaths who implode around session three or four.

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

We played one session and I had to remove myself from the group text because they were chatting about nonsense and eating up my messages.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Try checking out a local game/comic store, or look online!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are ways to play online. You could always look for a group on a subreddit or something :)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I want to play D&D but I've never done that kinda thing before. Any suggestions for a beginner?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you know anyone else who plays

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nope :(

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Check online for people who want to party up

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Check out a comic or game shop. The game is usually pretty welcoming to new players, 5th edition is easy to get into

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just note that sometimes you get a bad group or bad dm. Don’t let that ruin the game for you, just find a new group

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#2 - help them for the good of the land. kill them later if there's no discernable reward

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Finish all the quests, save all the people and become a hero/godlike person to the land. Then kill them all and loot their houses

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's the hardest balance for the DM: how innocent the town is vs. how much loot they have

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've always wanted to play, but growing up all my friends were jocks. I've never been able to find anyone interested in D and D.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Is there anywhere online to play?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

roll20

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Thanks

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lots of roll20 users look for players. So you can try it out, even if just for a session!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the information. When I get home tonight I'll log in and see what it's all about.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had a baby mimic as a pet in a campaign once. I called him Bocks. :D

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

That's fucking adorable.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

we called ours The Luggage.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Did you own a hat with "WIZZARD" written in sequins across it?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That would be silly! I just had a leather robe with 'Born to Rune' written on it.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I always wanted to play a druid that exclusively turned into dinos

8 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 0

I played one in a short gestalt campaign, so I was also a Monk of the same level. Kung-fu T-rex was one of my favorite characters.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I did. It was great. Pathfinder advanced players guide has an archetype for it. So much fun.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a brawler/druid character with a dino companion..but haven't turned into one yet. Actually, it's the Goliath Druid archetype

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For me, it's "druid who's actually a dragon and occasionally returns to his true form." Mechanically a bear or something, but... dragon.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have yet to turn into a dino, because you have to have seen the beast before so I can't do it

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Chult Chult Chult. Side quest to Chult.

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I believe Canathar’s has a guide saying if you grew up in X environment you have seen Y. And... Grasslands I think has lots of dinos listed

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Xanathar’s* stupid lack of edit button

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you summon one without having seen it?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You need some sort of time-traveling mage to partner up with

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or depending on the dm read a book that has images of said beast. I would allow it but they don't know small details

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There are many places in the pathfinder world that Dinosaurs exist in. Just fit it into your back story that you vacation there or something

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I play d&d 5e, dinos is do exist but you don't see very many of them

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a druid in one of my sessions which he has the hermit background and he has info/is on archeology and I informed him on when he 1/2

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Will be able to take what he learned to change into one... and with the tomb of annihilation, there are dino's in there.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My druid got a velociraptor animal companion

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had that option but chose ankylosaurus

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's pretty cool as well, but I am really enjoying the speed tank/acid maw combination

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Acid maw is awesome. Not sure I'm familiar with speed tank?
