My school district was robbed by the guy running it so we couldn’t afford to do the DARE graduation so technically I agreed to nothing!

I had to sign some nonsense about cigarettes in like fifth grade. By 21 I was on a pack a day. That's life, haha

Remember in the 1980s how every arcade game said "Winners Don't Do Drugs". Our local Street Fighter champ was always stoned...

I tale drugs all the time ... unfortunately they are for my many medical issues

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't lie. Thirty-five years old today and never tried so much as a cigarette.

It is funny though that a cop came in and introduced us all to drugs that we had never heard of.

I'm pretty sure they did studies on DARE and the use of drugs actually went up in locations that used the program. That lion was high af.

I would un-weave those ribbons one thread at a time. I didn't understand the impulse then, and I don't now.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've never seen one of those before. Am i too old? Or is it an American thing?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was the only kid who opted out of DARE. Didn't plan on doing drugs, but I wanted to leave that door open. Lol.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I used to just scratch out the "FR" part

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I completed D.A.R.E: Drugs Are Really Exciting.

Always used expensive, but ymmv

Back then I didn't need drugs or alcohol to have fun with friends. Now I dont need friends to have fun with drugs and alcohol.

So many of us let that tiger down.

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was a lion

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ohh yea, i remember the mane.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If my memory serves me correctly, it didn't seem like we had much of an option. Everyone got one to sign and we weren't old enough to know.

Kinda like the Pledge of Allegiance...

Or being taught that the civil war was mainly about states rights

You must be from Alabama. In the rest of the country we learned it was about who controlled the land where the UFO crashed.

Wait, I thought it was sparked by time travelers who were trying to kill Lindbergh baby but went back too far?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Or that Christopher Columbus discovered America.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Hell, my parents fucked it for me by feeding me ritalin ie baby meth twice a day for YEARS. Kinda Rob's your parents of any high ground

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Really? If you mean you were diagnosed with ADHD, Ritalin and Dexamphetamine actually have a different affect

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Sounds like you may have been misdiagnosed? There are other conditions with similar signs & symptoms. ?

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

It still releases a load of dopamine. It puts you in a dopamine reward loop. Very similar to addiction

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah, 15 years later I still fiend for dopamine rushes.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It still has side effects, I would pick at my zits really badly

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do that with out the meds. Adhd has a way of making us not have impulse control. We were never taught it as children. We were drugged.>

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've found that a lot of research that has come out of europe is pretty useful, as they approach adhd with cognitive behavioral therapy.
