Gin Tama

This is my favorite comedy anime series . Hands Down! In Gin Tama we follow Sataka Gintoki , a samurai , who works as a freelancer alongside his friends to pay monthly rent .

One Punch Man

And this is my favorite superhero anime series . I love this even more than My Hero Academia which is next on the list . As the title suggests One Punch Man is about Saitama , an extremely overpowered superhero , who is bored by the absence of challenge in his finger against evil and seeks to find a worthy opponent .

My Hero Academia

A superhero anime series . My Hero Academia is about Izuku Midoriya 'Deku' who is born without any special powers on a world where it is the norm . But dreams of becoming a superhero nonetheless . With the help of the World's Greatest Superhero , who shares his power with Deku , he enrolls in a high school for heroes in training .

Detroit Metal City

This anime is bit on the vulgar side .Detroit Metal City chronicles Soichi Negishi's hilarious misadventures as he attempts to juggle his hectic band life, a seemingly budding romance, and dealing with his incredibly obsessive and dedicated fans.

Daily Lives Of High School Boys

The story revolves around the daily lives of Tadakuni, Hidenori Tabata and Yoshitake Tanaka of Sanada North Boys High school and their various interactions with other students of and around their school and their coming of age endeavors.

Nichijou(My Ordinary Life)

Nichijou follows the everyday lives of various people in the town of Tokisadame .
Random and/or outlandish events regularly occur throughout the series, mainly through the mundane situations each character undergoes.

Haven't You Heard? I'm Sakamoto

The story is centered around the incredibly cool and popular Sakamoto: a flawless genius who is well liked by girls in his class. Despite the strange situations he may be in, normally consisting of pranks set up by the envious male population of the school, Sakamoto always manages to emerge in absolute perfection and as a result makes himself seem even cooler.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu

In a school in which students are able to summon beasts powered by their test scores, with higher scores resulting in ritzier lifestyles, the series revolves around a group of students stuck in the lowest-ranked F class

Great Teacher Onizuka

The story focuses on 22-year-old ex-bōsōzoku member Eikichi Onizuka, who becomes a teacher at a private middle school, Holy Forest Academy, in Tokyo, Japan.

Arakawa Under The Bridge

Kou Ichinomiya is the son of a wealthy businessman who holds firm belief in his elite status. As such, he is determined to avoid becoming indebted to anyone; but he becomes indebted to a girl who saved his life when he fell into river beneath Arakawa bridge . Angered by this, Kou insists on paying her back, but this may just be the worst deal the arrogant businessman has ever made.

The Devil Is A Part-Timer

The story is about a demon king named Sadao Maou seeking to conquer the world of Ente Isla but, when confronted by the Hero Emilia, he is forced to retreat through a gate that transports him to modern day Tokyo, Japan. To survive and find a way to return to Ente Isla, Satan gains part-time employment at a fast food restaurant called MgRonald.

Galaxy Angel

The Angel Brigade, an elite branch of the Transbaal Empire military, are assigned to search for The Lost Technology, mysterious items from the past that hold unknown powers. Led by the soon to retire Colonel Volcott O' Huey, the Angel Brigade travel to different planets using their specially designed Emblem Frame ships to search for Lost Technology. Unfortunately, they usually mess up somehow and end up getting into all kinds of weird and troublesome situations.

Mob Psycho 100

Shigeo Kageyama 'Mob' , is an average middle school boy . Although he looks like an inconspicuous person, he is in fact a powerful esper. As he grows older, Mob realizes that his psychic powers are strengthening and becoming more dangerous. To avoid his power getting out of control, he constantly lives a life under an emotional shackle. Mob wants to live a normal life just like the others, but a barrage of trouble keeps coming after him. With the suppressed emotions growing inside Mob little by little, his power threatens to break through its limits.

Inferno Cop

This series centers around the adventures of Inferno Cop, a police officer with a flaming head who seeks revenge after his family was murdered by Southern Cross, a shady, Illuminati-like organization that attempts to control the world with its various monsters and thugs

This list is made up of animes which I have WATCHED . Since I started watching animes not long before . Please shoot the recommendations at me .

Hero Academia is way better at getting me to cry than laugh

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Angel beat is pretty funny and sad at the same time. Would recomand it, even if it's pretty short.

+1,000,000 for Gintama

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Azumanga Daioh! It’s a cute story and well written as well.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like some of these are just "really good anime with funny moments"

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, MHA does not belong on this list, for starters. Or any other anime with comedy as not one of their main genre. But it's a good list.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If you like Nichijou, you'll love Lucky Star. You might need to watch a few other shows first though, particularly Haruhi.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I love Lucky Star!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Excel Saga is pretty ridiculous.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

FLCL is up there with it

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would include Space Dandy to the list, really good and funny

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Amen to that! I haven't laughed at any comedy anime as I laughed at Space Dandy.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I personally enjoyed Ouran High School Host Club. It's a parody of shojo manga.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yes, this! I was watching through the series solo and I would laugh so hard my husband eventually made me start over so he could watch w/me.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cromartoie High School and School Rumble, are two of the funniest I've ever seen. Give them a go.

MHA has some laughs but I cried throughout key moments.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

Oh yah. Like learning the back stories and the reasoning because some hero’s fucking broke me.Urumakas just trying to help her dad is so sad

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Uraraka*

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

All Might being a father figure to a kid who grew up without a dad is what got me, I was lucky to have people like that in my life too.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if you think a kid wanting to make more money so their parents to live easier is sad you must get suicidal during those SPCA commercials lol

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it was just her crying and her getting emotional that got to me. She’s one of my favorite characters so I guess it just hit me hard

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Deep blue. Running this season. Never fails to make me crack up several times every episode. My absolute favourite this season

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Where is Ghost Stories?

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

But is only true for the english dub. DO NOT watch the sub version.

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

That is the most beautifully universally racist animes I have even seen and I loved every moment.

No seitokai yakuindomo? No Miss Kobayashi's dragon maid? Your list is of insuficcient quality

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Miss koboyashis dragon maid was the first anime I’ve seen and I haven’t seen much but it’s still my favorite

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Try 'Now and Then, Here and There' it's really fun

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I urge you to complete dragon maid, and then start seitokai yakuindomo

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Saiki kusuo no psi nan" is a criminally underrated series, its by far the best comedy ive seen in my entire life and you should watch it too

7 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 1

I'm glad you mentioned this. Season 2 when Saiki had allergies. I laughed so hard. Nendo insists S watch him sneeze. Such good silliness.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One if the very few series in recent times where the dub is slightly better than the sub (at least IMO).

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This. It really is a great series.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And it's on Netflix

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I just binged the first season. Surprised it's not talked about as much. Fantastic.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I did too(although gotta say i dont like the jap sub asmuch as the dub which is why i only watched the first season.-.)

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It's a lot to take in. I watched it subbed and I clearly missed a ton but I still enjoyed it. I might wait for season 2 to be dubbed

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yes, Kazuma here.

7 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Hai Kazuma desu.

7 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

Well , some avoid it due to excessive fan service. Nonetheless , still a excellent series.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Fan service can ruin a show for me but Konosuba was fine imo. Aqua had some weird shots but mostly it was fine

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair enough

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

is it really that excessive? it's been a while since I've seen it, but I don't really remember it being THAT bad.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It's not. Hell, most of the fan service is played up as a joke as it is. I'm lookin' at you, Darkness.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There's an episode with the succubi.. Literally the most fanservice thing. Also Darkness as a character.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna assume you didn't read any of the other replies since that's all already been covered.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you REALLY want to laugh. You can not beat the movie: Graveyard of the Fireflies. Don't let the name fool you. Laugh RIOT!!!!!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another great is Berserk. An epic tale of friendship, loyalty, and love

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Berserk is dark at the beginning but lifts up eventually though.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

(Read: So dark that it underflows to being lighthearted again.)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seen it and can confirm it's so hilarious I was crying

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I still remember my brother practically crying from laughter even weeks after watching it.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, though... Is it good? Sad or funny, idc. I just like good anime

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hehe it's uhm. A very good anime all things considered

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My friend tricked me into watching that saying that it was a fun movie . Not gonna be fooled twice .

The Wind Rises was a great movie dont listen to that fuck. Lol

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It's a great movie, written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why would you not want to watch it again? It has sad moments but most movies do. GotF is an exceptional gut punch though.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

because the end still hurt me.
