Usually labor can take pauses but continues until all kittens and placentas are out, but even if labor stopped it is possible to “palpate” mama cats externally and feel any other kittens inside by touch, theyre the size of their siblings usually but can be smaller and are firmer than poop and organs. It must be done carefully and ideally by a vet professional but other people can learn how to do it. If labor stops but there’s more babies or products inside, trip to the vet.
