I hate DoorDash.

Having moved to a new city which is far-flung I use DoorDash to get food. I think out of dozens of orders I and coworkers have done over the time I've been here that... 2 have not had complaints. I have had Dashers deliver food to the wrong address, get lost (our business is literally the last building in a block with a giant sign with its name on it on top of it), and generally poor business.

But today has me more upset than anything.

I'm trying to burn the candle at both ends on a project to get done by Friday. I was going to hammer it down on lunch, so I ordered Doordash.

And got a call as my food was to be delivered. My new Dasher, let's call her Idiot C., has decided she doesn't want to deliver my barbecue. Why? Because she's vegan, and the fact that I ordered food that she doesn't agree with offended her.

I actually started laughing at the call. Who in their right minds does this? She first said the place couldn't process my request, then admitted to this insanity.

So I called to DoorDash. And held on for their support line for 15 minutes, to get someone overseas who does not give a hoot holler about anything I have to say. They actually blame me for losing the order, or possibly trying to steal food.

I speak to 3 separate supervisors, each more incredulous at last. Why am I arguing this hard for 2 Hamiltons? It's principle at this point.

The Dasher actually is contacted and states I lied. I lied. And that I must just be chomping at the brisket if I didn't get it. The supervisors believe this Idiot character, and state that I will need to go through a review process which could take up to a week to get my cash back.

So here I am, mojo crooked, having wasted 60 minutes of my life. I have a small bit of fried rice and a crab Rangoon to tide me over, but I just needed to vent before I started cracking in.

tl;dr: Doordash can dash these nuts.

Thanks for the chance to rant. It's been a show, and now I gotta go knock this out.

EDIT: My boss took pity and ordered me Thai food from my favorite spot so, that's pretty sweet.

Also, for questions: The BBQ place is very big about it being a place where meat is sold. So maybe she lost her mind because she realized it? Maybe they poked her for being vegan? I'm still wondering, it's not like I can call her and find out.

I think what's really going on here is that the Doordash 'deliverer' just got some free BBQ...

You're quite an entertaining writer. This had me in fits laughing +1

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Chargeback! They scammed you out of your money so you should do this

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

They give you hope with BBQ, then DASH your dreams

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Doordash is garbage. They take forever and almost always fuck something up.

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I order from DoorDash and grub hub delivers it. DoorDash is shit

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Do a charge back with your card company.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I would let the BBQ place know what happened. Maybe if the restaurants started complaining, Doordash would pay more attention. 1/

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

2/ it sounds like this vegan stole your food (whether she ate it or trashed it).

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

BBB my friend, contact them. Compile a list of all the issues you have had: dates, times, people's names. Wage a fucking war.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I had so many issues with door dash and their customer service is the worst. I use Postmates now and they are great.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Yeah, this never happened.

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

She didn't refuse to do her job because she's vegan. She refused because she's an asshole and used being vegan as a reason.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Okay but vegans are proportionally more filled with assholes

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Assholes will use any cause to give them an excuse to be bigger assholes. Don't confuse someone who eats a certain way with an asshole. You

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

can tell them apart by the way assholes act like assholes. And assholes come in every shape and form, sometimes vegan and sometimes

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

by making broad generalizations.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

As a restaurant owner, one day door dash just started delivering for my restaurant. I didn’t sign up for it, was so difficult to cancel.

7 years ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 0

Yeah i’ve seen that happen with doordash. I worked for Grubhub customer support and we got calls for doordash like that all the time.

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Let me just say - I hate your company. It's connected me to so many awesome restaurants & is so easy to use & friendly that I'm poor now! =P

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Could you not just refuse any order associated with them? That seems weird.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

They call and order just like a regular customer. You don’t know it’s door dash until they come, by then you already made the food.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

lol what,

7 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Yeah, one day I had an extremely rude person come in “picking up for door dash” I told him we didn’t use it, I’m the owner, I’d know.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Apparently they took the liberty of signing me up. Because I didn’t sign up myself, I had no contact info to call and cancel.

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Multiple emails sent, and no response. Even the drivers didn’t have a way to reach someone for corporate. They’re based in India I think.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

One day a driver pissed me off with they’re disregarded for handling my food, and shit hygiene. So I FINALLY found a number for corporate.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Blast them on social media, Twitter, etc and I bet they solve the problem real fast

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

post her information so i can send her a free bbq basket

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Lol we'll meatbomb her!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I used DoorDash almost daily. Anytime I've had an issue, I do the survey, and am immediately reimbursed without speaking to anyone. wth

7 years ago | Likes 121 Dislikes 4

Yeah something not adding up, this guy is a phoney for fake internet point. Where I’m at, you can see where your dash driver is at all times

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I've only used the app in central ohio, and I have the same tracking, but I don't assume that all regions have tracking allowed/legal even.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Plus, calls and messages are recorded so this guy is a phoney. A big fat bbq eating phoney.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Used to work with doordash. It was terrible. One time this restaurant took over an hour. The customer kept asking when it would he done.(1)

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

(2) I finally got the food and told the customer I'm on my way. Then the app kicks me out of the delivery so I have no delivery address.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

(3) there is no way to get into contact with any customer service or anything. I had to write an email and heard back from them 2 days later

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I felt so bad for the family who didn't get their $60 worth of food. They probably thought I stole it on purpose.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

I dont understand why people are so militant about their beliefs in the US. This type of shit behaviour really only ever happens there...

7 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 3

There is no other country with brony animalkin cis-pronoun skinny-shaming feminazi vegan methheads in the world. What made it so?

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

If you can't deliver all food, don't work in food delivery company, Bitch

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I did door dash deliveries. That person should be banned from using the service. 9/10 deliveries have meat. Seriously wtf.

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Also how can they believe her? Door dash tracks your location, they can clearly see if she never arrived to deliver it.

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Don't use doordash. Duly noted.

7 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

This post was brought to you by UberEats.

7 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Thats a shit deal. I eat kosher, but i still make food with pork @ work cuz thats my job. You shouldnt have been fucked over like that.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Put this on their Facebook, Twitter, whatever. Make everyone aware of what happened. It can actually move a company to do something more.

7 years ago | Likes 897 Dislikes 3

For better or worse, this is true.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Seriously!! Who does Idiot C think she is, Kim Davis?!?!

7 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 1

Definitely this. Companies don't like bad publicity

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Ooooor... don't. And move on with your life...

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Found the vegan dasher

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Lol, far from it. Just have more important things to do.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Definitly you.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Yep let the internet do it’s thing

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Got a home warrenty company to fix my A/C after the denied the claim by complaining on their facebook page.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Their twitter account is the only way to go with them. Public exposure of wha absolute trash the company is gets their attention everytime.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That's right, make 'em (in)famous.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wait a minute, they sell meat at BBQ places? I thought it stood for Beets, Broccoli and Quinces, the nerve of you!

7 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Are any of the third party takeout companies good?

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Totally shady. I call them dine and dash. They love to take the togo and not use there assigned card to pay for it. Bunch of bitches.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fuck DoorDash!!! I work doing delivery for a restaurant. I have to deal with these clowns all day, and they basically steal my money. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

Support the delivery drivers from restaurants or order uber eats. DoorDash does not get the restaurant's permission. What can I do?. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

Sabotage.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man wtf. Don't take the job if you're not gonna do the job.

7 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 1

As a vegan myself, I agree. It’s also never stopped me from just doing my job, what a stupid reason.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Explain that to all the idiot evangelicals that don't want to do their jobs because it offends their "religion"

7 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

I work for doordash, and I would NEVER do that. You paid for it, so you should get it. Fuck that driver and all the people you spoke to.

7 years ago | Likes 820 Dislikes 7

Exactly I have been working for DoorDash for over a year and I have not ever done this. This is just wrong

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well you're not a vegan ideologue so it's a little different to be sane.

7 years ago | Likes 202 Dislikes 7

Worst experience I had with a food delivery company was the guy delivered someone else's order to me instead, then made me pay for it, only-

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-refunding the price difference between orders. Was left with someone else's food I didn't want and had to pay for.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do Door Dash as well. And Ubereats and Postmates. That individual is not fit to drive for any of them.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You should probably push this up the chain, because if this sort of shit carries on...your employer might not exist in the near future

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think DoorDash is great. Never had any problems. So sorry

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I came down here to say this same thing. I respect the customers time as much as my own. What a petty and dumb thing on the drivers part.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I don't get how delusional she has to be to become a delivery woman and then refuse to deliver meat because of her eating habits. 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

That retard basically made the death of that certain animal a bit more pointless. 2/2

7 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

So true

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A lot of cheap assholes lie to get free food. So it's not unreasonable they'd believe their employee (if it's the first complaint).

7 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

One time redrobin messed up my order on door dash. DD gave me a credit for the whole without even asking for evidence (though I had it)

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That person is how vegans get a bad rep. Diets are like dicks. Cool if you have one but dont go around shoving it down peoples throats.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right?! I’m a Dasher, too. Don’t know why that person even signed up at all, given how often we deliver non-vegan products. But, at the (1/

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very least, they should have rejected the run. Only possible conclusion here’s that they accepted just so they could say they’re vegan (2/2)

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Serious question, do many of the drivers not understand how addresses work? My address is on my front door but they still get lost.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It really depends on the driver. I have a hard time seeing addresses at night so I usually just get out and walk or circle the block.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I use to work for Hungry House. 9 times out of ten I would give the refund. Very few questions asked. The only time I can remember not 1

7 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

Refunding a customer was when on one night he called in complaining on food poisoning, gets his refund and orders of the exact same 2

7 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

Restaurant the same next night. Claims food poisoning and comes through to me again. I tell him at this stage it's his own fault. No refund

7 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 0

food poisoning doesnot happend on same night , idk how long it take but it take more then 1-2h

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

That is definitely NOT true. The one time I got food poisoning, it set in within two hours of eating. Curse you, Emma’s Tacos!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 Swore at me for half an hour. Later that night found them in the building gambling. They came back. They asked how I knew it was them

7 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

3 Oh I don’t know... it’s not like I have access to a multi million $ surveillance system, security guards, and surveillance team.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

1 I used to be a casino manager. One of my first nights managing I had a customer call and claim food poisoning they got that night.

7 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

To be fair, I did pickup of one Chinese place, every so often they did bad food... I had to stop ordering the bourbon chicken after it 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

came smelling like it was literally rotten. Had to call the health department on them, which fixed them up... lol. Def possible for bad 2/3

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Never had an issue with doordash. The ridiculousness of OPs post seems like there may be more to the story or maybe it's BS

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 8

Yeah unless they talked over the phone he probably should've tried to get it over the phone. He can also rate them with a bad review too

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

He can technically call doordash or his phone company to get the recording of that conversation since for doordash they go through your cell

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

But uses their companies numbers to process and contact each other through the app. So OP is either lying or he exaggerated

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I personally haven’t had any but have seen my coworkers have issues. Once the food was picked up (confirmed by restaurant) but never brought

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The fact op hasn't replied to anyone yet saying to charge back means op probably lied

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

At some point you should’ve threatened to just chargeback the transaction with your bank. In my experience that will fix the issue 99%

7 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 0

I've had to do the same when ordering PC parts online. one store turned out to be a scam and ignored me for almost 2 months. sent an email

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

that my bank was conducting an investigation for fraud and suddenly got a reply within half an hour on a saturday morning & refund in 4 days

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Of the time. I’ve had to do it only twice and both times the offending party immediately backpedaled and brought the common sense back

7 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

What does that mean? I’m really asking

7 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

also if you use a service like paypal you can submit a claim they give the receiver I think two weeks to respond if no response you get

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

your money back, and in my experience paypal tends to be on the consumer side for these cases to help retain people in their service

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a credit card isn't your money. the bank is paying the business, and you later pay the bank.

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

a charge-back is you telling the bank their money was taken, rather than given. the bank has better leverage against the business than you.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

A chargeback is when you go through your bank to cancel/refuse payment

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Your CC company will withhold the funds. Then DoorDash would have to fight the CC company, keeping you out of it.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

you tell your bank that you didn't approve of the transaction and they will refund you the amount majority of the time

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Don't lie. Tell them you didn't receive the product.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Call the credit card company, say you didn’t get the product, and get it taken off your bill. They will then not pay the company.

7 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Thanks!

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Better. The company will be fined if they get more charge backs than average.

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

More than fined. They might lose their merchant account and no longer be able to process credit cards.

7 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Order something vegan and then dont pay them when they show up with your food.

7 years ago | Likes 216 Dislikes 10

Can't pay cash on delivery, unfortunately. Can't use anything other than a credit/debit card.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let’s get real here, the vegan ate the BBQ and can’t admit it.

7 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

If you get the same person.

7 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

If they never showed up how would you even know its them

7 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

They'll tell you.

7 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately the new wave of online food delivery takes your money first, then *maybe* turns up with it later on.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think maybe there should be a requirement for e.g. the deliverer to get a signature at point of delivery, same as for parcel couriers.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I quit being vegan because half of them are mouth foaming crazy. I didnt want to be lumped in with that. Plain ol vegetarian works fine.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately you’ll probably be screwing over the vegan business, not that one particular vegan and door dash.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

If it’s anything like uber that’s not an option. Card automatically gets charged.

7 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Uber are very good with refunds. Usually instant

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know about the eats side but uber doesn't charge for a ride until complete and even after the ride it can still be changed. I drive

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Eats charges right away.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well that's pretty crap

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stick to Ubereats, they'll beat their employees properly to avoid this behavior.

7 years ago | Likes 1927 Dislikes 15

Hell yeah, every time I've even hinted at a problem, they've addressed it immediately.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I tried them once. Driver took over an hour before he accepted and marked as delivered without moving from his driveway.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It took hours of searching for a way to contact customer service, because the app was broken as hell and all other phone numbers are hidden.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Plus more hours of being on hold. Will never try UberEats again. Or anything Uber.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The beatings will continue until morale improves

7 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

Me, an ex deliveroo rider: 'guys my bike breaks are dead can i get out of this delivery?' Deliveroo:

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah they use GPS to track movement and reimburse if the delivery person was never near your place.

7 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Uber eats is way better than door dash after using both many times

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ubereats fully refunded me on what was not delivered (large order) and no questions were asked.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Discovering Uber eats was a bad thing for me... Love it so much, once paid for that crazy rush hour surge charge.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Only had one UberEats issue but it had me proper pissed. Complicated apartment so they don't always deliver to the door. I get it (1/?)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So I usually just wait for them to give me a holler and I come down and pick it up. They're supposed to wait 5 minutes. 1 minute (2/?)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

after their call I'm headed down the stairs, the street is in sight, and I get whammed with a "no show". (3/4)

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They refunded my money "this time" as it was a first offence, but I got temp banned from ordering from my favorite sandwich shop for it.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ubereats is super easy going, I’ve had issues, but replace or refund is so easy.

7 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 0

I once ordered Sunny side up eggs but for scrambled. I left a bad rating as experience and got full refund. I've been with them for a year .

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well that’s nice to know. I drive for Uber and as a driver if you get screwed they basically said fuck you get over it

7 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

i literally cannot sign up. I tried to contact their tech support but tech support is login to get help so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ its unhealthy anyways.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Use a real phone number and not a VoIP one.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i use my literal phone to try to sign up. It just says my acc is in use but when i try to recover password it doesnt do shit says no acc.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah you can claim refunds on ubereats through the app really easily

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cause they have no respect for their employees, iirc. :P

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They're just expendable cogs in the food delivery machine. One can do it as well as the next.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ubereats is great because everything is logged on the app

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mm beatings you say...

with delicious jumper cables

7 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The one time I ordered from uber eats, the lady circled my place 3 times, started eating my food (I could see her digging into the bag and

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

eating my fries), then cancelled the order as "couldn't find location". Thankfully I wasn't charged. It was ridiculous.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dunno man 3 times my order was marked as delivered but no one ever came to the door. Took ages to get someone on the phone to get reimbursed

7 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Better to do it via email.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don't know why people do this, I deliver for Ubereats and have never marked an order as delivered until after it is in their hands

7 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I got 1 this guy thst had a nap in the park in front of my window. Saw him with my own eyes... Of course, food arrived cold. No tip...

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I work with the top 5 every day. Uber, ChowNow, FoodJets, DoorDash and Grubhub. At least 3 times a week we get DD customers saying they 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

2/2 that they haven't gotten their order. My boss is so sick of their shit. He hates UberEats just as much.

7 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm pissed at grubhub for killing Foodler, but I've never had a driver refuse to deliver my food.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Grubhub bought Foodler, along with Slice

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't you guys just refuse to use DoorDash?

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or call the restaurant directly to see if they have their own service that delivers to you. It can be several times cheaper too.

7 years ago | Likes 377 Dislikes 3

Right. They just pay the delivery fee an avoid all responsibility.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And saves the restaurant money.

7 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 0

Ubereats doesn't cost the restaurant anything.

7 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

They most totally do sir. I rather ubereats than dine and dash as a hospitality worker any day.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But they do charge like crazy due to ordering through their services.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's cheaper to buy the same meal at a restaurant normally. The cost hits the consumer and not the business.

7 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Ubereats takes a percentage of the sale. They get 30%. It ends up being about what you would pay a delivery driver through labor and insuran

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude...this. seriously, I work at a pizza place and still have doordash and post mates come to pick up orders. Why?? It's baffling.

I just call to get my fav pizza faster than any other app and almost half price. Also get to know the daily offers... Love apps tho

DoorDash has free delivery if you subscribe to their service. Can save a few bucks by not paying your pizza place deliver feee.

I know for myself I used each one once purely because they have a 'first time' coupon I use to get cheap food. D:

The apps make it super easy to look at the whole menu, not talk to anyone and track your order

Because ordering through the same app you order elsewhere is easy

Could be ordering from outside your delivery radius too maybe?

Possibly, there are multiple of our shops in town tho. Oh well, its their money i just like to see the business stay within the shop.

Post mates also has some heavy promotions going on to get people to use the service. Free delivery for now and extra money for drivers.

And then all 3 were refunded and you were given an apology credit

Actually. Would rather have the food though tbh. Good thing is the first reaction was to let me remove my tip from the delivery.

I had a woman that was so fucking lazy, she sent her early teen son up to my door. I’m on the 5th floor in a downtown area. Reported her

I'm opposite, i send my kid out to the driveway to collect the food as i watch from the balacony.

I occasionally get one woman delivering who turns up with her whole family in the car for some reason, then refuses to get out of the car so

I have to go all the way across the block, then downstairs to the road to be handed it through the window by the partner or kids...

I think she may have received too many complaints though, because her rating was gradually decreasing, and I've not seen her for months.
