Please don’t send me more X’s. I already have too many to deal with…

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Once you get more than 3 X's things start to get weird.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's the best X I've seen in a while.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Is he getting paid by zuckerberg to destroy this company or something

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Twitter will now be know as Twix, tweeting will be known as "breaking a Twix". People will be separated as "left Twix" and "right Twix" for their political preferences. And all that just because Musky didn't want to eat his Snickers without the huge bulging dick vein.

"1.2K people ❤️ your X". That tracks.

All he needed to do to add subscribers was re-brand to XXX. They won't be there for long but still.....

Right or left, oh wait.

Did he buy Twitter for the brand? Because now he's throwing it away. Did he buy it for the user base? Because he's tanking it. Did he buy it for the ad revenue? Because he's tanking that too. Did he buy it for the staff? Because he's fired tons of them. Did he buy it for the site's code? Because 44b seems like a lot for something Meta whipped up in a few months.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He bought twitter to stop 1 guy telling the world about his 8 minute flights

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wait... he's seriously changing the name of Twitter?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

“….seriously…. ”? Narcissistically, perhaps. Or psychopathically. Or sociopathically.

When you fire everyone who tells you your ideas are bad, suddenly all your ideas are great!

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

At this point I feel like Zucker is just paying him under the table to tank Twitter.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, Zuck does own the trademark X for everything computer/communications related. (not even joking!)

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not all computer related, Microsoft owns X in regards to gaming at least. But I wonder if Muskie even bothered to check that before going forward with all this...

I'm embarrassed by the gap in time between my learning of the feature and my learning how to actually do it.

For others that use the app. Hold pressed and choose add to folder. Create a folder if necessary and you can then use it for replying

It might be necessary to open the image/comment as full screen

Sure are a lot of kisses going on at the ol' kiss social

Brilliant move. I had a feeling that Twitter's main problem was BRAND RECOGNITION. Fucking moron!

This is coming from the same guy who named his kid *modem noises*. Do we really expect him to be able to name a social media platform?

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

No Mr.Bond, I expect him to die.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Surprised it's not MuskHub.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even Dumber, it's pronounced "Kyle" X = Chi "kh", Æ = specific "a" sound, A-12 = 12th letter of the alphabet - "Kh Æ L" = or "Kyle"

His kids are absolutely putting him into a nursing home. And definitely not one of the good ones.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Dude messed up a kid's birth certificate for the lulz. Can't wait until we hear about him less often than Kanye.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

But X is owned by Meta, so...

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

You know, I wonder if that isn't the idea. Try and "force" facebook to buy twitter.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Didn't Facebook/Meta just start their own version of Twitter recently as well?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes, Threads.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In regards to social media messaging, Meta owns the trademark for "X" while Microsoft owns it for gaming and gaming-related communications.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Also Microsoft, apparently.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Remember: His only goal is to be talked about. He does stupid shit so we will talk about him. We are talking about him, so this change is already a success to him

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

See also: Trump

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Yes, Trump goes away if we don't talk about him, that's how it works. Fox News and OANN base their coverage on whether we talk about Trump.

And here is a little extra: different languages pronounce "X" differently and for many languages it's a letter that rarely if ever get used. I can tell you all that pronouncing "X" in mid sentence in Finnish sentnce is like hard stop that does not belong there and if you pronounce it how Finns pronounce "X", it sound like you are talking about your ex or having a stroke mid sentence. It is also world wide used letter for "wrong and negative" as many have pointed out.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Finn here, not true, the letter X is pronouced "äx" while your ex is "exä" in the spoken language. While I get your point, don't just make things up.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And this is where you should realize that not everyone speaks same dialect. I rarely hear anyone say "äx" except when someone pronounces the candy "missä äx". It's been almost always "ex" or "kss" or "exä" for me, also because "e" and "ä" has many similarities in the sound when pronounced it's sometimes quite hard to hear or notice which letter is used. Also as I said earlie "X" is rare in Finnish and mostly used for talking about someones ex partner. Maybe its used more by younger people, dunno

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also I am pointing out in the comment that it sounds like "ex" or someone having stroge mid sentence. Which is pointing out that I am not saying its only "ex" and saying "äx" as you say it does sound very off what Finnish normally sound. Again maybe you are young or where you live "x" is pronounced differently, I don't know that and my dialect + life has come from the easter Finland + partly old Karelian where "x" is pretty much never used. Dialects are wonderful :)

Not as napalm self-burning though as re-branding a failing company with a logo you don't own.

2 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 1

You fucking nailed it, lol. Well put.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

*Laughs in Meta* Which is funny, because there was an existing company called Meta, who didn't want to sell, and Meta stole it from them anyway.

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Wait... I guess it's not surprising but Meta actually stole a trademarked name and logo??

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Didn’t the same thing happen to “x-box”?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So does that mean Twitter videos are going to be X-videos?

2 years ago | Likes 216 Dislikes 2

That's exactly what Charlie was saying in his latest video

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Alls I want for my birthday is for his dumbass to get sued by a porn company for the name infringement.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Apparently exactly that.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Most likely, as Musk disabled and removed the X-videos Twitter account.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I want to upvote but it's at 69 and honestly I think it's perfect as is

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yup, and I hear they're going to featurepets tou under the category xhamster

*feature pets too. Me spell good.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Looked like you had a stroke midway through typing that but you stuck the landing so have an updoot.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't be surprised if he insists they're also just called "X" from now on.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's very Aladeen

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I disagree. It's quite obviously *NOT* Aladeen at all.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just like Linux geeks in the 90s when someone blurted out "X Windows". Which, weirdly, had an icon very much similar to what Elon Rancid Muskgland chose for the hellscape formerly known as Twitter

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am confused, can you explain this to me?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The GUI in linux/unix up until very recently was called "X". Linux used a version called XFree86, but the Linux crowd in the 90s was somewhat toxic, smug and superior, so if you called it "X Windows" it was a kind of shibboleth. X.Org is what's being used now, or Weyland.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I see, thank you very much for the detailed explanation
