Go into any rural America Denny's after midnight

No, God no, Fuck no, what the hell no? Where I come from that would be grounds for getting laughed out of the PTA.

Send her smallpox blankets, that will do the trick.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better than being surrounded by assho-- oh, wait.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I support anti vexers we have been protecting idiots from nature for too long this is the best for the health of the species

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

My mother's mother was an anti-vaxxer before it was cool. God knows how my mother survived.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Our grandparents/great grandparents witnessed the diseases 1st hand, now there aren't here to tell us of the pain & folk assume it's made up

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

As a parent... Parents are dumb AF....

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Ah now I get it, you had severe epidemia of those in the US... I was wondering why the smooth imgurians became brutal hounds on antivaxxers.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When did political correctness become the new war on science? Years of research, and people just want to dismiss it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

When children are not vaccinated, other students with auto-immune deficiencies are at greater risk. People, stop being stupid.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like how parents scare the shit out of each other in these meetings. Drugs, guns, vaccines, you name it.

Cant me give them some brain cells in the mix. Like a cocktail of vaccination with a dash of intelligence

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

These fucking idiots should be arrested. Literally.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

"But no one has those diseases, who needs vaccinations" so much cringe how can you be this daft.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Google a list of diseases eradicated from the US and Canada within the last 70 or 80 years. They think it just won't come back.

They're just upset about what you did to Mufasa

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

No I think your the stupid ones, but hey that's not my fault.

*you're

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do not believe you. Half out of denial and half because this is imgur.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Its pretty common in california for people to deny vaccines. It was made mandatory for public schools and people lost their shit

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, by 'other parents' I guess I only mean two. But three was frightening enough.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It'd be neat if schools taught students about the sicknesses vaccines prevent so maybe less of this shit would happen...

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

People know cigs cause lung cancer and still smoke, it's the "it'll never happen to me" mentality that's a part of the problem as well

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Its mandatory for schools here in CA, so thats nice

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 3

@op, in which state does this occur?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Southeast

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Southeast... Places where people don't trust the government... Id say Mississippi but I don't think they have involved parents. Florida?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm having a baby soon and if he gets sick from some anti vax asshole I swear to god

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Best advice...Do your OWN research abt vaccines..... Make an informed decision... Read the CDC reports.. AMA of Pediatrics...read the STATS

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't have to research anything to know that they are entirely beneficial

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Christ.... I misread & misunderstood.... Good luck w labor !! Happy healthy to you & yours

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I'm sorry. Misunderstandings all around. Thank you ???? same to you

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Even if we could vaccinate people for stupidity they're too stupid to actually get it.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 3

Can't fix stupid, you can only sedate it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pta doesn't get to decide. It's mandated by the state isn't it?

10 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 2

Not that this story is real.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

If they're not smart enough to know how vaccinations work, it stands to reason they're not smart enough to know PTA doesn't have any power.

10 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

This should be a top comment.

This is how I feel every day I have to remind myself that I chose to teach teenagers and it's not 100% their fault they're kind of idiots.

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

As a former teacher of teenagers, it's not that they are idiots, it's that they don't have a reference for what is demanded of them in life.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The garbage we teach them in school doesn't prepare them for life. It's often muddled down as to not offend anyone. We're pandering to

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The ranks of the insane. Parents, school boards, the state. None of these people understand what it is to teach, to culture imagination

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reasoning and auxiliary skills. Sorry that I went off on a bit of a rant. It disturbs me to me core to talk about the state of education.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

an entire generation seems to have forgotten how many children died fm measles, polio, whooping cough, rubella.. They need history lessons

10 years ago | Likes 358 Dislikes 4

On the other hand: Jenny McCarthy is a celebrity.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Sadly, it will take history repeating itself. They've already shown they don't learn from history alone.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They need to repeat history sadly.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

On a side note..... LOVE the profile !!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well you know what they say: Those who don't learn from history, repeat it. Or: Play stupid games, Win stupid prizes

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Big ass poster-size picture boards... Showing these diseases ...then ask THOSE parents who wants to sigh their children up FOR THAT !

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Those who do not know history are doomed to repeat it, those who do are doomed to watch everyone else repeat it.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, they will get them...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think the same thing every time I hear people love and support the idea of "getting rid of all the Muslims."

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They haven't forgotten, they were just never taught about it. Education quality has been degrading for years sadly enough. ???? ????????

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I've learned. Im in 11th grade and the diseases are a large part of the lessons

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We she just let them die with their children. It will help the human race evolve

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Hah we she... *we should

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Problem is that the loss of herd immunity also threatens people who can't get vaccines for medical reasons (allergies or the like).

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

As a nurse I judge parents who don't vaccinate their kids. They usually fit a certain profile: overly confident, under-educated white moms.

10 years ago | Likes 221 Dislikes 5

inb4 someone chimes in with "who are you to judge their morals?" They are the goddamn nurse, that's who.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Working restoration and renovation and the worst clients by far are usually stay at home moms that watch too much HGTV.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

As a general rule, under-educated people tend to be overly confident.

10 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Thanks for posting this.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is unfortunate that fools are so full of confidence while intellectuals have nothing but doubts.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And educated people constantly doubt themselves. Weird.

10 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

who down voted you?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Sometimes the more you know, the more you know you don't know. It becomes terrifying quickly.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sure does. It started at uni for me.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

that is just something people who lack confidence say to feel better about themselves...

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Have you heard of imposter syndrome? I see it a lot with fellow phd students. Even my supervisors.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

just wiki'ed it. interesting.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mom tells me they've cock-tailed the flu shot. Lots of vaccines in one dose, which we're allergic to some. So yeah, thanks government.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 20

Your mom is a moron.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Read into things that your mother (Or anyone for that matter) tell you and form your own opinions

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I trust my mother fully on medical research. I have no need to doubt her or my aunt who is an ER nurse on such. My own delivery, not so much

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 10

Nurses don't know everything about medicine and pharmacology

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

YOU CAN'T JUST DECIDE SOMEONE IS ALLERGIC THOUGH. UNLESS IT'S BEEN TESTED ON YOU IN SOME WAY, YOU WON'T KNOW. YOU SHOULD GET TESTED.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Flu shots are given on a regular basis to update you immune system. Yeah, we've suffered. Don't want to go through that again. Save the caps

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

1/2 of course a flu shot is a "cocktail"; it has to protect against multiple different strains of the flu. There's nothing scary about it

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

So many negative comments. My family, like other commenters here, will become deathly sick, because of one or two things they've added to it

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

My relative is a pediatrician. According to them, the only allergen in shots with an affected incidence over .001% is egg in some shots,

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

which even then isn't lethal in most cases. I'd encourage you to make sure your research is correct.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you. Yes I misspoke earlier, the egg part was part of the problem. I'm done here.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are highly educated in their google studies! They are researchers! XD

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

yahoo answers is totally a reputable source!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Or when they say it's religious beliefs I'm genuinely curious about which religion.

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Well, I can think of only one that rejects medicine off the top of my head. Scientology.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Also Christian Scientist. Right?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Mary Baker Eddy, who argued in her book Science and Health (1875) that sickness is an illusion that can be corrected by prayer alone." WTF?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm actually allergic to vaccines and could die if I even get so much of a tetanus shot. So not all moms are stupid...

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 48

I'm guessing your allergic to preservative. By your logic, you would die if you got the flu since a vaccine is made from a virus.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Which is why it's important that everyone around you be vaccinated. Then you're protected too.

10 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

Legitimate reasons don't count. You rely on herd immunity.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Very similar case here, if I get a vaccine there's a high case of a reoccurring auto-immune disease.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Just curious, what happens to you if you get a vaccine and why?

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Which means that if other people around you get measles, you're very likely to get it too. So, surely you'd want those who can be 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

To get vaccinated?! 2/2

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I highly highly doubt this nurse was referring to mothers with children that have legitimate reasons to not vaccinate their children.

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

It's stereotypical though, so I just want to prove a slight point. The people who don't vaccinate due to illogical reasons can kiss my ass.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 17

My concern is that parents who choose not to for no legitimate reason actually put people such as yourself at risk.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They happen to be the vast majority though which is the issue.

10 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Sadly.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 6

Why is this being downvoted?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Because the poster equated a legitimate reason for not getting vaccinated to anti-vaxxers.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I see a school nurse blanket judging all anti-vaxxers and a post with a reason why sometimes it's ok not to vaccinate being downvoted.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To ALL vaccines? Got a name for that? Half skeptical half legit curious.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I'm not sure what is it, I, myself and my family get horrible reactions to vaccines like seizures and intense illnesses that last for months

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the reply and sorry to hear it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's okay.. Tetanus shots contain latex (SEVERE ALLERGY), flu shots leave me sicker than the flu would.. uh I'm not too sure what else..

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know someone who can't get flu shots because of the egg in it, not sure about others.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Familiar with the egg allergy stuff thank you though. I'm skeptical of not being able to receive ANY vaccines not some being contraindicated

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Herd immunity protects many people who can't receive vaccinations for health reasons. It's a thing.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Certain people can't get live vaccines, others can't receive various others for various reasons, unfamiliar with anyone who can't get any.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Severe allergies. Auto immune disorders. It's rare, but it does happen. It's more common among those with multiple disabilities.
