Dew is collecting in the morning

Clouds are changing

The waters are still

Fog in the valleys

Rain moves slowly across the mountains

The rain turns to snow

A whole lot of snow

They say Carl is still shoveling the path to this very day....

Sunrise above the valley

On an island in a sea of clouds.

great pics

Beautiful

That first one is messing with my eyes, I keep thinking it's animated and zooming out.

That one at the top of Mount Sulphur: I was there in AUGUST and got snowed on. That's an early start to winter.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel the same, my first year living here I was scraping frost off my car in August. Not cool for someone that likes to garden.

As a brit ur a lucky bugger

As someone that lives in San Francisco, I miss weather.

This was like reading a poem.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, man, I could live there... Forever. Lived in the mtns in the Bay Area, loved Every Minute of it. Sadly, circumstances changed...

Can you post the full size pics? Great wallpaper...thanks!

Unfortunately these are as good as it gets. I only had my phone with me at the time :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn. Nice shots anyway!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Where is this?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Most are from Sulphur mountain in Banff with a few from Canmore and Kananaskis thrown in

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Canmore!! :D

Dew in the morning? Shit that happens every single day it is above freezing in the Appalachians.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's one of the things I love about the Appalachians. This part of the Rockies is pretty dry so you don't dew too often.

It is the worst for astronomers. Middle of July, telescope completely covered in dew by 1am.

I zoomed on that clear water to look for fish, but all I found was cinder blocks.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The fish were in the pond beside that one....I was too busy catching them to get a decent picture. Had a school of 50 right at my feet!

Nice. You live in a beautiful place, but that snow is not for me.

Where was the snow?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On the peaks up around 2500 meters

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So... winter is coming?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I live in the tropical climate. It's raining every day but it's super hot.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

The rain is super hot?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sure that by January I'll be wishing I was living where you are!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I've been to many places, include topical areas. Nothing is more beautiful to me than the Canadian Rockies. But yeah, snow can be a pain

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What's the timeframe from the clouds changing to the snow falling?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I took the cloud pic about a week before the snow fell. The winds at ground level got weaker over that time

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

but....but it's september...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm reading the farmer's almanac right now. If it's right then we're in for a hell of a winter in the West

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ha Ling and Rundle are looking so fierce! Love me some Canmore.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is that Banff? I loved Banff.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I miss the snow.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's just about to snow here in ND. You can come get all you want of that annoying shit.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canada is still too hot for me :( people think of us as being cold and snowy but our summers are brutal. Our temp. differences are insane.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of the reasons I left Ontario. Couldn't stand any more soupy summers

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm in NS and it reaches 30+ in July, August, and September. I'm allergic to the sun too but besides that the heat sucks.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

These are great photos. Well done

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Thanks, I can't take all the credit though...it's hard to take a bad photo of the mountains

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Where is this? We got excited about some snow high in Fernie then heard about the 6 inches that fell in Banff.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Most of these photos are from Banff over the last week. The snow really piled up Sunday morning.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Can I come live there? Like, seriously. It'd probably be illegally, since I'm poor af but yeah.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I met a parks officer who said he was issuing tickets to a lot of people this year for illegally camping in the woods...you'll fit right in!
