Good guy Grohl brought Calabasas CA firefighters BBQ to help thank them for fighting the wildfires

He has a passion for smoking and BBQ, a hobby he picked up in North Carolina when Nirvana hit it big.

I just thought this was cool and really nice of him. When most celebrities seem to let down our perceptions of them and even turn out to be terrible people, a few seem to be genuine and good. Good job Dave, we're all getting the best of you!

Is someone getting the B, the B, the B, the BBQ? - I'll see myself out...

Well. To be fair. He said he was going to buy a bigger grill. Good for him.

I love seeing athletes and musicians and others doing good stuff for hard working people out of their own goodness.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s a little ironic? I mean hey you been stopping forest fires, have some burnt meat...

it's a strange world when a long haired tattooed rockstar exhibits traits you wish your president had

Apparently that’s one of the first things he brought when Nirvana got their first big cheque, a new BBQ.

Dave Grohl has a passion for smoking meat. Kurt Cobain had a passion for smoking shotguns.

I've never been a particular fan of his music but this is absolutely one dude I would enjoy chilling with and having a convo over a beer.

Hey you guys... I don't know if you know... But he (that Dave guy) really really looks like that guy who was the drummer in Nirvana ..

He's made some very good documentary films. So far they've focused on music. If he made a film about the wildfires he'd have a lot to say.

I either want a buddy cop movie or a band with members Dave Grohl and Keaunu Reeves. Or both, why not both!

What about the young adult prisoners that are fighting fires as slaves to the govt?

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Prisoner wildland firefighters earn $2/day and $1/hour, earn 2 days credit off sentence, and are eligible for a job with CalFire upon 1/2

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 release from prison. They volunteer for service and must be nonviolent offenders with good behavior. They are highly respected by FF's

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The pay is very low for the risk they face, and California employs aprox 2000 prisoners as wildland FF's, all part of a scheme to "save $"

4/4 Thank you for bringing attention to them, they are every bit as heroic and hardworking as the regular wildland crews, under appreciated.
