Good guy Grohl brought Calabasas CA firefighters BBQ to help thank them for fighting the wildfires
He has a passion for smoking and BBQ, a hobby he picked up in North Carolina when Nirvana hit it big.
I just thought this was cool and really nice of him. When most celebrities seem to let down our perceptions of them and even turn out to be terrible people, a few seem to be genuine and good. Good job Dave, we're all getting the best of you!

Prisoner wildland firefighters earn $2/day and $1/hour, earn 2 days credit off sentence, and are eligible for a job with CalFire upon 1/2

The pay is very low for the risk they face, and California employs aprox 2000 prisoners as wildland FF's, all part of a scheme to "save $"
