Lotsa ear comments. While cosmetic decisions are more common fights or accidents happen. It's done, hope the pup has more luck.

They’re pastel

Hopefully unfiltered

On a cat, I'd call that muted calico. Very pretty.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yet again no ones cares that they took my dick skin

He's cute but I wish people wouldn't keep breeding these dogs.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Why? Look at the dog's ears - somebody thought it made the dog look tough. Puppies could end up falling into the hands of the wrong people

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gotcha.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sadly the owner didn't love all of mommy dog, and decided to cut away parts, makes me so sad...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Or they rescued an already cropped dog. We don't have enough info to come to a conclusion.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That dogs head is bigger than my pelvis!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh my goodness

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sad that you snip your dog ear. Ass

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't like trimmed ears.

8 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 5

I thought trimming ears was illegal in most places.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

It is.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Papa dog is thinking about going out for a pack of smokes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anthropomorphize much?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All the time.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s a great pic!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Why do I always see pits with their dads, but every other breed with their mamas?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good question

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hate these kind of pictures. One dog, one pup..where are the at least 8 pups da fuk at? Kindergarden??

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I need to know what this beautiful breed of dog is. Can anyone tell me?

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 2

Looks like an American staffordshire... and a beautifully well-bred one at that

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a tricolor AmStaff. Pretty rare coat coloring and super expensive

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Staffordshire Terrier. Easily confused with the Am Bully cuz it's been crossed with the Eng Bulldog to get the Bully.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Starting the process of elimination...its not a Chihuahua

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It's a worchestshire saskatoon, everyone knows that!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

looks like a staffordshire terrier or even a cane corso but those are mostly black i think

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Friend of mine has a tan cane corso, though I’m not sure if he’s 100% cane corso. Either way they definitely have the head shape!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have a cane corso, they tend to have leaner builds. I'd put money in Staffordshire. Regardless beautiful dogs.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I saw a cane corso in person for the first time during my visit in Taiwan last week, gorgeous breed, would love to have one

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It looks like an American bully, but I’m not sure.

8 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 1

It is!

I'm watching him right now in War Dogs. Pretty good movie.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Put your phone down and watch the dam movie.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hopefully they’ll let him keep his ears

8 years ago | Likes 722 Dislikes 24

While I agree if you've ever seen an ear hematoma, it would explain why some dogs are better off with their ears cropped

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

Jesus fuck, can we all just agree to stop having the same discussions on this subject on here? I think we’ve about covered it by now.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 9

They probably won’t. Got to have that fightin’ dog look. :(

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it was going to be done, wouldn’t it be? I thought they would do it younger than this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not necessarily. It’s generally easier to do when they are younger, but some people wait until they’re a few months old.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's hope the ear crop of the father was from a different owner who mistreated him.

8 years ago | Likes 204 Dislikes 5

We didn't and aren't going to crop our billy's ears but I was having a hard time understanding why people do. Found the answer here. Thx :)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Geez, Exactly

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 5

Yeah well I didn’t have a say in whether or not I got to keep my foreskin so boohoo

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 5

Yay being from England. The fact that 90% of American men are circumcised is pretty rediculous

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ridickulous.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's also wrong, man

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My parents have two littermates. one has his ears cropped and 0 ear infections. The other didn't and has had 4 ear infections.

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 16

Wow, I cought some hate for that comment. Tbh lean against cropping ears. Just mentoned it because I thought it's an interesting data point.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just clean them regularly and no need to crop.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Hey bud, let's cut off yer ears or children's if they get an infection, sound good? Fool...

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

What if they have to choose between getting their ears ripped off by wild cats while defending their families and having them cropped?

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 49

When the hell is that gonna happen? You act like they're as common as rats.

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It's more that you can't just come along and impose your yanqui values on a people who bred these dogs for hunting and defence.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 35

The ear cropping is just for show. It serves no actual purpose and in fact hinders their ability to communicate with other dogs.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

I have a pit with his full ears. And literally everyone who sees him says he has more personality than any other Pitt they have ever seen.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately, that’s not likely. Cropped ears is breed standard, so many owners choose to crop for aesthetic purposes. However, cropping /1

8 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 16

Seems like its mostly a thing in america, here ive never seen a pitbull with cropped ears. But its probably been illegal here a while.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Fuck "breed standard."

8 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 2

Can occur due to medical reasons, or their “job”, and is healthier for some dogs. I would not choose to crop personally, but I understand /2

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 15

I get cropping for medical reasons, though i don't agree. But the crop job in the picture looks like a scissor job. Gross and painful.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It’s healthier to crop tails in some breeds because they’re brittle and break easily. Ear cropping is always cosmetic.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Yes, tail docking can often be for legitimate medical reasoning. The only time I agree with it is for those cases specifically, honestly.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not always. My mother in law has a Great Dane. Gets ear infections monthly because it’s ears aren’t cropped.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

My cousin always opts to clean his Dane’s ears every other day rather than crop and no infections yet (6 years old)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The reasoning for it. Breed standard greatly determines what many owners do. /3

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 10

Why the heck does the average owner need to worry about breed standards?

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Monkey see, monkey do type of thing. People see other owners do something, think it looks cool, then they do it. I don’t agree with it.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Could you explain how it's healthier in some cases? Like is it with disease or genetic flaw or something?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Some people think it lowers the chance of ear infections but it's never been proven- in fact it allows debris into the ear.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

In working dogs specifically, more commonly hunting dogs, it prevents injuries to the ear that can rip or sever the ear. In all other /1

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I have a pit and didn't crop his ears....he looks better that way and also there's no need

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

Same. Agreeed.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

While I agree others might not.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Fuck breed standard, then.
