These are some of my favorite childhood movies. I'm not gonna provide the plots or anything but rather the first thing that comes to mind as I always find that interesting. My hope here is to remind someone of a piece of their childhood. Also, these movies are not from the 90's so much as that I am a 90's kid and are movies that I watched.

The truffle shuffle and "Baby Ruth!"

"Life uh finds a way." Has Also my 5th birthday party was dinosaur themed and I got this movie as a gift.

"Yup' yup' yup". Also, later realizing the racism between three horns and long necks.

"As you wish." Kinda helped shape my idea of what true love is.

The crunch of that kitty litter sandwich. Also, why is Darla crushing an aluminum can supposed to be a big deal.

Just how creepy that smog monster was creeping around and sucking on exhaust.

How excited I was to shave as it looked so cool. I was wrong. So wrong.

What I think of when people have gambling addictions.

It has the kid from tool time. I really wanted to run away on a raft. I think most boys did. Also reminds me of the movie the cure. You should watch that too.

The home alone kid goes on an acid trip. Never before have I shipped two books together like I did in this movie.

The first ballon he pulls out is actually a condom. A lot of adult humor like that. Loved it as a kid and I think I enjoy it even more as an adult.

Why I'm afraid to cheat in board games. I really hope the new one doesn't suck.

"Helloooo" I miss this man.

I was so afraid shadow was going to give up in that hole. Also those porcupine quills musta really hurt.

His name is cat piss.

Nothing really comes to mind other than this boy was a loser and I was jealous of his cupboard. Pretty sure my mom had a hutch and I would pretend they came to life after I put them in it.

I really wanted to play with the ooze. Or swim in a pool of it.

The creepy gorgon woman thing scared me and reminded me of my grandma.

Why does Roger rabbit have such a hot wife. Why do I think a cartoon is hot.

I believe the sequel is better than the original. Favorite scene is where the cat is learning to be like a dog.

When you wish hateful things on people and wish you had magical powers to make them happen.

This movie was weird but good. Wasn't it cereal or something that made them smart.

People suck. Don't litter guys.

"Creme de la creme" also why I sing good ol Mountain Dew before I fart.

Made me want chucks and to try chew. "You're killing me smalls"

The scene where he drinks all the apple juice and then pisses to refill it.

Best for last. David Bowie and Jim Henson created pure magic together. Dance magic dance. Too many quotable lines. Probably why fushigi or whatever tried to be a thing later. I know David Bowie was a great musician but this is what comes to mind when I think of him. I remember finding out when he had died and how I felt a little bit of my childhood had died as well. Damn you 2016. Give us back Bowie and harambe.

Sassy tax

Thank you for making it this far and sharing in my childhood. Feel free to share your own thoughts or favorite movies.

The post reaffirms the fact for me that, with obvious exceptions, movies today comparatively suck.

Well now you have something to watch. Though most of them will not hold up over time and are cringe worthy now.

Or the beginning.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

End, begin, all the same. Big change. Sometimes good, sometimes bad.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One does not simply claim the An American Tail sequel was better than the original.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm so happy! I don't know anybody that's even seen All Dogs Go To Heaven and it's one of my favourite ever films. Good choices OP! ????

Thank you. It's weird what you think everyone has seen and realize few people have.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same goes for Fern Gully, such an amazing movie that went highly unnoticed.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You lost me at ferngully but brought me right back in with heavyweights

Not a bill and ted fan eh?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Shit. That should be in there. If only more people had seen that as a kid there wouldn't be so many assholes. "Be excellent to each other."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And Milo & Otis which is 1989 but that might as well be the 90s.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Not all of them are 90s. But as a kid growing up in the 90s most are gonna be 80's or early 90's

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Ace Ventura?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love ace Ventura, especially when nature calls. Didn't include it because I didn't watch it until my teens I think.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy shit Rocka doodle!

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel like that's one many people didn't see. And they really should have.

You should also watch Breakfast Club if you haven't seen it already.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Yeah. I've seen it but it's been a long time and wasn't impressed when I first watched it. Maybe now that I'm older though.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How do you do Heavyweights but leave off Mighty Ducks?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know its blasphemous but for whatever reason I never cared much for the mighty ducks.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're dead to me. You were before too because I don't know you, but now I'm choosing to have you be dead to me.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I guess the only logical thing for me to do now is haunt you. So yeah. Boo and stuff.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

People remember him in genie costume, but it was really a sailor costume. He hosted a Sinbad the Sailor marathon a long time ago.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Kazaam. It was one of those movies I watched if it was on tv but didn't seek it out. Still good though.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I think Kazaam was the one with Shaq.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Oh yeah. That's what I thought he meant. The movie he's talking about supposedly doesn't exist. Mandala effect or something.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

MY EMOTIONS!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm afraid of sucking up the cord when I vacuum because of this movie.

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Also, I want you to watch some of these movies again, now. Some definitely hold up, and others still keep their 90's charm. Pagemaster is...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

kind of an ok movie. Best part, for me, was the Horror bit.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah. I think I tried to watch it agin recently and was underwhelmed. Sandlot and labyrinth are timeless though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also, anything pre 'Cock-A-Doodle' for Don Bluth.
