I wouldn't mind so much if I didn't have to watch a minute long ad for a 30 sec clip.

Ad blocker is a must

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Ad blockers, but I remember before ads and they were skeptical because what if the ad was on something they didn't promote.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I actually checked to see if adblock was working.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is it sad I actually tried to exit out of the add?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

AaaadBlooooock

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Adblock bruh

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've had YT red for a couple of months (bc I'm subscribed to google music and it comes free) and I forgot that ads on YouTube was a thing

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Thanks for the lol. +!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ads dont bother me but, Youtube ads in the middle of a song(literally stopped the song to play an ad) is what caused me to install Adblock.

9 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

I was watching an hour long video and it stopped it every few minutes for an ad

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I usually wait till there's a YouTube red deal that gives 3 months for 1$... When it's over i adblock...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I automatically went to press x ahahahahahaahhahahaha really nice +1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

uBlock Origin and you never see a youtube ad ever. This is why I don't youtube mobile.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

android?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I shouted "FUCK OFF" when I saw the ad, I thought adblock had failed me.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Youtube plays ads?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

❤❤❤❤❤❤I prefer 69mm My Size brand condoms

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

PSA: amazon sells them

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, instead the ads were at the side of the video, playing with sound.. While the video your were watching played.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Youtube was literally never any better. It was different, it was worse, it was never better. Take off your rose tinted glasses OP.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im not convinced that Youtube controls Youtube anymore, if that make sense. I'm pretty sure they have been low key overtaken by entities -

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

from everywhere else, i.e. gaming corps, gov't, politicians, etc...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OK that's clever +1.

9 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 8

OP's post made me clench my butthole beyond imagination and time and space in physical reality which created a singularity in my rectum

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Dayum.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It starts at the right time, but it needs to last for about another half hour.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Perfect timing, that.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the sudden and intense urge to buy condoms

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Build a pi-hole and get no ads on all devices woooo

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

with banana pi for more power?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Not needed tbh

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I call them ignorance taxes. Only the ignorant sit through that crap.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Back when every video either played Drowning Pool or 009 Sound System.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes, but do You remember when MTV didn't play ads after every video?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Youtube has ads??? Since when? (Referring to adblock)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i barely watch youtube anymore because of it

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

That's because you're an idiot who doesn't know about AdBlock for Youtube.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

First off, you're an asshole, second of all its not just the commercials, also getting tired of Google trying to take over everything

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

duckduc">.com">duckduckgo.com ? dontbubble.us

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Add uBlock Origin to your interweb browser.. it's an extension

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Adblock. Haven't seen an ad on Youtube in years. Found it weird watching videos on my tablet that cant' block the ads (At the time).

9 years ago | Likes 259 Dislikes 13

I actually deactivated my adblock for the guys I watch daily :D And I _think_ Chrome can deactivate it specially for certain YouTube sites.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're the reason there are more ads for everybody else. Keep that in mind.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Good. You can have them.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'd much rather sit through 15 seconds a few times a month instead of paying $5/month for it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

#PrivacyRape ought never be tolerated

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Adblock all the ads.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

amen

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have adblock too, but youtube has started running ads lately that adblock doesn't stop for some reason.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have ad cleaner for youtube but otherwise im host blocking them. Setup a dns server to take care of it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DNSmasq ftw

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anyone know if there's a way to block youtube ads on ROKU-3 ?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yes, upstream filtration. It's your lan.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

hmm... google tells me that is a bio-process, but you probably had a different meaning in mind. can you elaborate?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If your tablet is out of warranty then try installing xposed, then YouTube adblockers compatible with xposed.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I looked into that today. Latest thing I saw was that they weren't working. I'm using CM13 though, new to the Android modding community.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

AdAway, UnbelovedHosts.. ALL defim XPosed modules are worth buying

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$15 I bought the license everything package (defim)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Opera Browser, Built in adblock, works like a charmed

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a charmed what? Don't leave us hanging.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Charmed rabbits leg :)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to use Opera but they were bought out recently by some Chinese antivirus. I don't know the company and I don't innately trust them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

uOrigin is a lot better, but I agree. Most helpful :D

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Seems I've been running both ublock and Adblock. I looked something that could block elements and ublock was suggested. I looked into it--

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wladimir Palant CANNOT be trusted. Remove adblock plus. His company EyeO sells whitelist position.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

--and it said that I had it installed already. Hm. Oops.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Better safe than sorry? Lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, I just wanted an element blocker. uBlock came up so... That's all I thought it was. Didn't pay attention, admittedly.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I only found out YouTube had ads recently when I had to look up a video on someone else's computer, they have adblock now.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

i quietly inflict adblocking on every interweb browser i touch too.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I find it super odd that you can still use adblock to skip youtube ads when other sides have prevented that.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I dont think youtube cares as much because it is the youtubers who arent getting the money

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

report adblock blocking sites to adblock subscription maintainers for a fix.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*sites

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bad part about Adblock is that Youtube channels don't get revenue from Adblock users, even when they watch content often from that channel.

9 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Yeah. I actually turn it off on YouTube now because of this.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

That's YouTubes fault. If there was no preroll ads a vast majority of people wouldn't mind sidebar ads, including me.

9 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Especially when it's the same damn ad each time. Roughly 80% of my ads are about that movie about Pablo Escobar.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You talking about Narcos? Dude watch it. If you liked breaking bad, it's similar in a sense. Really good drug show.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't doubt it. But I don't need reminding that it exists every time I start up a new video. I heard you the first 100 times Youtube.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even worse is when I have my headphones off and it blares an add with fucking moaning in it. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyÿyyyyyyyyyyyyyy does that exist?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I pay for YouTube Red. It supports the content creators and i don't see any ads

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What are the benefits of Red apart from feeling good about paying content creators? I can't see myself ever paying for Youtube to be honest.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There is some exclusive content, but not much. I just got grandfathered into the system. Google Contributor is another system to look into

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's bundled with play music. Basically Google's version of Spotify. But with a MUCH better ui imo.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

until i hear about something that doesnt run out of a browser ill stick to spotify. gaming and google music suck.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Check out uorigin. Getting better reviews than adblock

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ghostery is also an option

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

in what sense are they better than adblock/adblock plus? I've been using adblock for years but I wanna check if ublock is better

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Wladimir Palant CANNOT be trusted. Remove adblock plus. His company EyeO sells whitelist position."

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because gorhill unlike palant doesn't sell out users.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On Android?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

UnbelivedHosts

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

. Thx

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Started with ABP. Switched to uBlock Origin from the rave reviews. It fails to block ads. Have now gone back to ABP and it works great.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Try ghostery

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

use better subscriptions

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

try PrivacyBadger

.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea..thx, name always fucks me up

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Can confirm. Used uBlock Origin for a few months, after dropping AdBlock. Works much better.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

How can it work better than blocking all ads?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Because it doesn't? They've been paid to whitelist some ads.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You can just opt out though...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

lookup: untrustworthy Wladimir Palant "acceptable ads" whitelist

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Adblock has been allowing some ads as of recently, I didnt notice it but others did. I did switch to ublock, its good too.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Honestly I don't mind that. Ads exist for a reason, and adblock has only allowed non-intrusive ads so far for me.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some sites I go to can detect Adblock and won't continue until I disable it (I think WSJ or some similar publication).

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look up how to block the scripts that block AdBlock.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But not this other blocker?
