NATO is getting ready. https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/europe/one-of-the-greatest-ever-mobilisations-of-nato-forces-now-under-way-in-europe-1.4817757

Correction : The original reason of this deployment is a planned exercise called "cold response 2022". It has been planned for years prior to the invasion. Something tells me this type of exercise takes place for a reason, and invasion of Ukraine is one of them. Sooooo maybe this exercise will become more real than expected, very quickly... But that's just my opinion.

I'm hoping America doesn't act rashly. We have no self control over what we will do to win. Not end a war, but win it...

Time to kick Putin's taint into his throat

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Putin could just say "ok we got rid of all the nazis, time to go home, mission accomplished" to safe face...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If Russia didn’t have Nukes NATO could destroy and push them back over the boarder in a single day they way Russias army is performing

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Argh! Don't draw a map with the land colored sea-blue and the sea white!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Yeah what's up with that?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is part of a Nato exercise Cold Response 2022 will bring together around 30,000 troops from 27 nations between mid-March to early April.

Is anybody watching China

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can not hide military movements from the intelligence surveillance systems of the US. If they were getting itchy we would know.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The beacons are lit.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

22,000? Stick another 100,000 on top of that and you're getting close to what REFORGER used to move.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm just really stoked that this newspaper correctly identified these vehicles as artillery and didn't just call them "tanks".

Another remarkable accomplishment to be credited to Vladimir Putin! Great job there, Vlad, "all according to plan."

Eff'd around. About to get to the 'found out' part.

Sic 'em, NATO !!!

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

So what I'm to infer from this new info is Putin dug up some old documents, looked at today's calendar & thought "oh, it's almost time!" ???

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing to be happy about. While such move was needed for future safety and defense, the fact it was is sad and a defeat for peaceful times.

Seems overkill. I think 5k would suffice.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Should we put into print the number of reinforcements?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wouldn’t be much of a show of strength without the “show” part.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s obstuficated and almost certainly incorrect

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

30k NATO troops would cut through the Russian army like a thin shit through a tall Swede

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NATO never said it wouldn't expand East. It said Russia won't expand West.

4 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 4

Damn. That’s chilling

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Expansion is a shitty term anyway, when you're describing souvereign countries choosing their own allies.

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 2

Expansion is not a NATO objective. Keeping Russia with it's pants zipped is.

Every country should be free to choose whether they want to be in NATO or Warsaw Pact or whatever. Even free to leave the EU :eyeroll:

4 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

The problem is, most Brits thought "EU" was something the French randomly add to words to win at Scrabble

I have searched other reputable news agencies, but I can't find anyone else reporting about this

NATO moved up vast troops in mid February namely 100 aircraft in 30 locations & 120 ship in three battle groups. This news about troops.

Would you be willing to live under Putin because he threatens WWIII?

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

What good is NATO if it allows Russia to invade half of Europe. If it doesn’t stand up now it will only get worse

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's a hard no

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Of course not. Enforcing a no-fly zone will be met with extreme hostility even more so than now. He even considered sanctions an act of war

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Mount Doom is in the east ..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're not going to do shit other than protecting NATO borders. There will be no US, NATO, or UN direct conflict with Russia in Ukraine.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

This isn't a criticism mind you. It just sucks because their hands are kind of tied due to the danger of starting a nuclear exchange.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Which sucks since if any nation need freeing from its insane leadership its the poor sods of the Russian people.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The most we're going to provide are sanctions, supplies, intelligence, and maybe some covert operations with plausible deniability.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They'll do like Russia with their mercs groups. "We pay them, but they're not ours!"

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm sorry, but why are you proud of this? Plunge the world into chaos, again? Every world war has started in europe,

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

But somehow everyone else has to suffer too.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

You favour giving eastern europe to Putin? So, are you russian, or a Neville Chamberlain fan?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I think it is showing that people are taking Russia seriously. Obviously it is terrible but the other option is to just let them do anything

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

they want, for fear that they will be crazy/stupid enough to add nukes into any conflict. If you are going to let them do whatever they want

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

then why even bother making a show of condemning them? No sane person actually wants war, but that is up to the aggressors, unfortunately.

asking why we fight is like asking why leaves fall. It is in their nature.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's overblown.. plenty of people, communities, even societies, even apes.. don't go to war. It is worthwhile to study the differences.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Plenty of people don't have sex, either. are you willing to say sexual behavior isnt human nature? Dont rely on outliers, look at trends.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Compare the # of soldiers, generals, & violent criminals vs. everyone else in history and I'd argue the others aren't insignificant outliers

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i look at history, I see the vast majority of societies willing to fight to protect home and family.and other willing to fight for resources

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

False hope but I hope this is the end of wars as we know it. Bully steps out of line and then everyone jumps in against aggressor.

4 years ago | Likes 597 Dislikes 6

Oh, it's going to be a whole new different kind of war. You Wish will be granted, but not in the way you hopes

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You do realize this intervention willl spark WOIII don’t you? I’m not at all happy about NATO interfering. Also the States and GB should 1/2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

stop putting oil on the fire.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

There is no intervention, because like you said, it would mean WW 3. These are for defending NATO states in case of attack

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

def false hope.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Putin won't go down quietly. If he's not removed, he'll remove everyone else.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Silenced .22 to the back of the head is pretty damn quiet. Just have to hope someone has the balls to stop listening to that psycho.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If NATO joins in, it's WWIII for everyone and probably the end of the human race.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

this is war bumped up the number from 40 to 41 globally.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately as long as a man somewhere can as much as pick up a stone, then he will.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They're just making sure they're ready to attack/defend if shit hits the fan

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately, Billy has end-all warheads and 3000 of them

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol no

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If NATO acts it could indeed be the end of wars… period.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It would be World War III and the end of the human race. That's why no one is intervening

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wish people would understand this and stop wishing for a no fly zone. Russia won’t respect it, NATO will be forced to ask. All fucked.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I’ve been writing Putins name in my Death Note everyday, best thing I can do to help right now.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Interesting because I had the same thought a few days ago. It is looking like the world just doesn't want to fight anymore.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not really. Supporting Ukraine is a chance to cripple an oppositional nation (Russia)

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Imperialism will likely continue well into future.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nope. If humans are alive in 100,000 years we will still have wars

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nice thought, but there are several other wars going on even now https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Syrian_civil_war

Guess who's financing that one? Yeah, without Putin Assad would have been long gone.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

I can’t wait till a democratic country brings democracy to America

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

As long as China backs Russia, no one wants to interfere via military.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

This is literally only because it's Ukraine. When Putin did the exact same thing to Syria, it was basically a collective "meh."

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We will know for sure the next time if this was just because Russia or really because any transgression of International law will not fly

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

With how often world powers/leaders change that will never happen. Look at the US, when a president shifts from D>R the whole agenda does 2

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This aggressor is just weak/hated enough. The world isn't able to put up this kind of reaction to the US or its allies when they do this.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

And yeah, downvote me, but I remember Iraq - it was the exact same thing. Albeit with a less likable leader in the defending country.

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Let alone what Israel gets away with every couple of years.

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

The last war to end all wars led to an even bigger war.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately, the end of wars as we know it involves men like Putin doing something immeasurably stupid.

4 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

I just finished a great documentary about Putin's great Mushroom War.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If it makes you feel any better, I did mushrooms recently and felt like I was at war with mushrooms.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yess haha that’s my euphemism for nuclear annihilation too!

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

More than half the global population isn't though. It's just NATO+.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, nuclear holocaust would, in fact end wars. Not just the wars, unfortunately.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The last "war to end all wars" did not do that.

4 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

it did end a type of war, but also spawned in war as an industry...ooof

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Wrong war, that was the sequel that spawned the industry.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

ehhhh nah wwi def rolled in the "mass produced mass murder" as a thing. wwii just refined it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Palestinians and Syrians are looking on hopefully.....

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We can hope. NATO has been pretty impotent so far for dumbass reasons.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 28

Many NATO countries have been shirking their obligations, leaving UK/US/ and France( although you can not depend on France) to defend them

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Tell me you know nothing about NATO without telling.me you know nothing about NATO

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

Avoiding WWIII hardly qualify as "dumbass reason".

4 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

He prolly meant "Donbass" reasons.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When was a NATO member attacked?

4 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Legal and moral obligations are not the same.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Not yet. Emphasis on "not" and "yet".

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

In which way is the NATO impotent so far then?

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

There is no need for a member of NATO being attacked for NATO to retaliate.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

There absolutely is.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not from what I read in nato charter, an it already happened in Yugoslavia.(nato attacked to protect civilians without being attacked and

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Without UN mandate

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes and no. They're trying to avoid WW3. Meanwhile people are dying while they finger wag.

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

There are plenty of weapons from NATO countries supplied to Ukraine, I think under the circumstances, NATO is doing fine.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Being a pansy-ass in front of someone who thinks they're the biggest dog in the room isn't going to stop them.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

You say that like Russia would be a push over. Russia is one of the biggest dogs in the room. They have the most nukes.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You're assuming any of them can even fly anymore.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1
