Number 3..Harrison Ford and John Boyega

Wolves arent naturally black as it would not benefit them in anywayy, black wolves are the result of breeding with dogs

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

so...what's the difference between wolves and dire wolves?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure that's my hometown's favorite wolf, Romeo.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, I would have compared them, but there was no banana.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That first dog looked scared AF

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DAMNIT moon moon

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wow. I had no idea wolves were so big. I figured they were roughly the same size as a large lab. I was way off.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if wolves look at pugs and think "nah evolution can't exist"

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Damnit now I want a moon moon

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

holy shit my dog is a lab. I had no idea wolves were so big.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Put it back where you found it, Moon Moon.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

HELLO DOG! THIS IS WOLF!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you know almost all black wolfs have some dna from domestic dogs in them. :D

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I will admit it... I thought they were the same size as foxes. Im off to google me some wolfs.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

How bout a wolf next to a husky

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not many people know that modern domesticated dogs are more closely related to the common armadillo than they are to honey bees.

10 years ago | Likes 151 Dislikes 2

Classic misdirection.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

...Yes! I was wondering about that, thank you very much for the information!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...what? I wasn't wondering, but thanks for the info.

In fact, they are!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True: Humans are more closely related to some fish than said fish are related to other fish.

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Humans are more closely related to jawed fish than they are are to jawless fish (i.e. hagfish)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Haha people are going to believe this. Armadillos really are closely related to sloths. I would've never guessed that.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So, how's the weather out there in left field?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well... That makes absolute sense.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Now, imagine about 20 of them licking their chops and starting at you

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The dog on #1 is like "Greg, are you sure about this? Cause I'm not"

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fucking Greg.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, he looks like he's gonna make a run for it. Just waiting for the right moment.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Canis Lupus. My bro used to tell me about Circus Lupus. (Circus of Wolves). Cool show, just... don't sit in the front row, man. Bad news.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Millennia of selective breeding, and we have pugs now but wolves are trying to make a comeback from endangerment.

10 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

True but domesticated dogs have lots of help from humans. No way in hell those things would survive in nature

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Perhaps if we feed them pugs it will help?

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah pugs are more the last few 100 years.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

WHERE ARE MY TESTICLES SUMMER

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can a wolf and pug still have pups?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In theory

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

DO NOT LET YOUR DOG NEAR REAL WOLVES. https://youtu.be/u1zCNH_oN2Q

10 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Did the dog die at the end?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

According to the video description, no, because the dog was wearing a steel plates vest that kept its midsection safe.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, wolves will kill and eat your dogs... Sad stuff :(

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I watched the whole thing feeling horrible. Especially the sounds near the middle and end, I'm glad the poor dog survived - surprised too.

I saw the link and was like "please be Mr. Fox please be Mr. Fox"

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking love that movie

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

source?

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fantastic Mr. Fox

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

just looked it up, can't believe i missed a wes anderson movie. Thank you for this.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Great movie! But all his movies are awesome!! Don't even worry about it!!

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Wes anderson is awesome, as is that movie. (just watched it)

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Both are cute as hell

10 years ago | Likes 237 Dislikes 2

Real question. Do wolves take akin to some dogs or all dogs? Can they sense a certain type of familiarity? Or do wild ones fuck anything up

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Srsly? I've been to hell. It ain't that cute.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

one can be a 7ft long 190 pound killing machine and the other chases its tail while running into furniture

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Wolves don't typically get that big.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Both can kill you

10 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 2

Well, not so much on the dog end anymore, can't exactly see a chihuahua being that much of a threat

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wolf attacks: vanishingly rare. Those murdered by people in US in 2012: over 14,000. Human beings are the natural born killers.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's not saying much, a mouse can kill you (if it has a gun)

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Both will suck your... Ups well no, got my species mixed up

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

You better have. Don't fuck dogs ppl!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Would be a glorious death.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is Romeo who used to live in Juneau, AK. He was illegally killed by two hunters from AK and PA....photos prob taken by Nick Jans.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's so sad. :(

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's so sad. :(

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's Romeo http://thewildlife.wbur.org/2014/07/07/the-wild-wolf-who-played-with-dogs/

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Thanks for the sauce I'll add it in the description

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was so sad when some dick killed him. :(

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea, definitely a bummer :/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure, that's not a wolf. They never grew as big and wouldn't be able to chase pray. It's one of these modern wolf-dog hybrids.

10 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 17

I think they have the same problems as the dingoes in Australia. It's hard to find pure strains as they interbreed with dogs so easily.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure you don't know anything about wolves. They're enormous. A lot of their "pray" is huge.

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 3

The biggest wolves in Canada (Timberwolves, Yukon wolves) average around 100 lbs. They are slightly bigger than a German Shepherd.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

"males averaging 43–45 kg (95–99 lb)", Canis Lupus aka wolf. Source, wikipedia. So they are rather big.

10 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well my dog (german Shepard- husky mix) was 65Kg in her peak...

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That still doesn't mean that wolves would be small, just that your dog was a size of a fucking pony=D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well yeah obviously. Just thought that 45kg werent that much. Propably cause the wolves are fit. Mine was quite fat :/

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ay yo that wolf be at church every Sunday catching pray!

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

hahah.. just noticed. Thanks for that :D

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

definitely a wolf - name was Romeo til he got shot. Source: http://kimberlymoynahan.com/2011/08/romeo-a-lone-wolfs-tragedy-in-three-acts/

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wow that's beautifully written, and so sad!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know bananatoast, I know. There's a whole book on him. Thanks for readin, yo.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Makes my heart sad. Illegal hunting really needs stronger punishment.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Second pic is a real wolf, was wild and ended up befriending the town it lived by. Even for a plaque after he passed away

10 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

balto?

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

TBF its thought the reasons direwolfs died out because the large fauna died out and smaller wolves could catch small mammals to survive/

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Book about it, A wolf called Romeo.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got a plaque*

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere once that no wolves were naturally black originally. It's a result of breeding with dogs, though..

10 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I believe they are still considered wolves. (I think the one in the top picture, at least, is a hybrid, though.)

10 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It's a melanistic wolf. although you're right, these mutations came from wolf-dog hybridization.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh, cool. That makes sense.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Absolutely magnificent creatures, don't understand why people would want to kill them

10 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 5

Because they're nuisance animals in some areas. Not that complicated.

10 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I used to cry when I was little because I would never get to run around with wolves. I was a strange child.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Huh. Interesting responses. I can understand killing the for population control but I was referring to poaching ect

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

For population control. I don't think we should let animals starve to death because we royally fucked it up.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

During WW1, the Russian and German armies had to stop fighting and go wolf hunting cause the wolves were raiding their camps at night.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Because they're clever efficient predators with a taste for livestock and little fear of humans.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Because they killed Liam Neesan!!

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

They're trying to save little red

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They are doing hell on our deer population

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

Because man thinks he knows better than nature.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 5

We call wolves "Monsters" in my village, life isn't the internet

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wolves can, and have, killed the fuck out of people. Think of them as miniature bears that run in packs.

10 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 11

Yeah I'd like a source on that.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I could have used better words, people shouldn't go out and kill wolves for the hell of it or because they may be dangerous, but they're 1/2

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

not fuzzy wuzzy Disney animals either.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Because they eat our sheep.

10 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 8

Stop putting your sheep where they live

10 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 8

I grew up on a sheep farm. The DNR released wolves into our area after we moved there. No wolves at first. Not that I hate wolves though.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can't. We were here first. Pappy was a sheep man, pappy's pappy was a sheep man. His pappy had llamas. None of this is true.

10 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 2

LoL

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And dogs. And people

10 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 14

Very rarely do wolves eat people. Like. Incrediblly rarely

10 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

And those people probably deserved it.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Like... I actually never heard of it happening in the last 30 years or 40 years. Maybe more.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You're right. I looked into this after watching stupid a movie about wolves attacking humans fighting back. They normally go for easy prey.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wolves are awesome and I want one. I'll settle for a Rough Collie or a German Shepard though, as I like my limbs being attached to my body.

10 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 4

Try a malmute/german shepard mix if you want that wolf look, with none of the face removal.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Shepherd. This breed never went to space.

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I own a wolf. She's 9 months old and is the best. My furniture is barely being held together and she did flood my house, but we love her.

10 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Can I pm you for some awesome wolf stories? Pretty please.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Northern Inuit - Bred to look like a wolf but have the temperament of a domestic breed.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How can you know for sure? Have you ever given your limbs a chance to be free?

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Surely a big dog could do just as much murder as a wolf.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

*Shepherd. As in, "the dog that herds sheep."

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

my GSD mix isn't that far from a wolf look-wise - much less murder and more love, though.

10 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sweet looking dog! My GSD can look a lot like a wolf at times too: http://imgur.c">/0o2I7Jl">http://imgur.com/0o2I7Jl /kmUZlXP

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well you can't have your cake and eat it too

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

GSD - best dog ever

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Check out the Czech wolfdog, or should I say Czech out..... Sorry, I'll show myself out.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Whenever I'm texting someone, I write Czech instead of check. I have no idea why I started doing that

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can always go newfinland if you want a giant ass dog that won't kill you.

10 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Because they are big teddy bears that are lazy but the best snuggle buddies!!!!

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Finland, Finland, Finland...the country where I want to be...eating breakfast or dinner. Or snack lunch in the halls....

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I recommend getting a really big car while you're at it.

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Newfoundland..sorry to have had corrected you :) or you can call it a Newfie. They are awesome dogs, huge but awesome

10 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Pssh that guy, they aren't finlanders! haha

10 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

lol

10 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Lol thanks, I only use newfie, had to guess the rest. Or rather, my sis in law's NewfyPoo.

10 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

it's a hard name to say to be honest, unless you are from the province :) best way to pronounce Newfoundland is to say New-fun-land ;)
