Went to see a movie with this guy, he talked really loudly the whole movie.
At one point he asked if I was ticklish and then tickled me multiple times during the movie. (Really pissed me off, I hate being tickled)
At one point when he left to use the bathroom I almost ran out of the exit to avoid more awkwardness.

Guys please don't do this on a 2nd date ever.

On the bright side Rouge One was really good.

Rouge one deals with the seedy underbelly of the empire's cruel and unrelenting desire for rosy cheeks

@SmoothskinBigot don't do this! ;P

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

People who talk during movies.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Rouge one. The crimson side of the force

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I hate it when people talk in theaters.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is . . . not a confession?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Trying to decide if this is worse than the leg grope

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I could have been able to deal with that, tickles... Hell no.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The best part of rouge one is when they get the plans for the lipstick.

RUINING ROGUE ONE SHOULD BE PUNISHABLE BY DEATH.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Never been on a date so id be nervous and not very talkative the entirr time

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Never? Get out there!!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Neven been on one, never asked any girl out i couldent even talk to the girl i had a crush on

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My SO went to watch Rogue One with two mates from class instead of me. I dont think I can ever forgive that...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rude!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dinner and a movie is a stupid lazy date. At least go to the movie first so you have something to break the ice at dinner

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't be a b* and next time speak about what is bothering you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*tickle tickle*

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

but tickling is how men express love

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah see that's why I always think going to the cinema is a bit of a mediocre date idea, my ideal time is 90 mins of silence/fixation.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Though I will add, when going steady with someone sharing that experience in good company before/after does add to it and works well for me

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I like movie dates. If you know how to watch movies at all, you don't have to socialize. Then at dinner you have something to talk about.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you live in Ireland, you could have been in my movie theatre. Guy talked behind me for the whole movie

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

you murdered him and have to hide now? write me.. I send help

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nope US. But fuck that guy

Real question: why do some men think it's SO fun to be annoying? It's not cute, sexy, or flirty. like they never developed past 1st grade...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i went on a movie date with a guy (super 8) and he kept trying to stick his tongue in my ear even after i asked him not to. i walked out

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit, eww. Did you punch him?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish I had. I faked going to the bathroom and left. Super fucking creepy

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That is super creepy, I should have done the same

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

One of my first movie dates was with a guy who wanted to see The Devil Wears Prada. I wanted to see a horror movie.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Needless to say, he got his wish and the relationship didn't go much further

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Horrorhounds unite! Everyday Halloween!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Who talks during Rogue One?! you should've left and seen it again later.... that would've ruined the movie for me...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It almost did, but my love for Star Wars was much greater. Will probably go see again Incase I missed anything

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

make sure its with someone that respects the film, and your tickling feelings lol

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

make sure its with someone that respects the film, and your tickling feelings lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Find a guy whose more creative, instead of a guy who'd rather watch a movie than actually talk to you

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was the problem, he wouldn't stop talking

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There is nothing worse than someone who talks during a movie

9 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 4

Unless it's a bullshit movie and you're drunk with friends. Then talking is pretty much mandatory!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love my best friend but I cannot sit next to her in the cinema without getting pissed off.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a friend who asks me questions about the movie as if we're not both watching it for the first time.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She also brings homemade food in really crinkly packaging which she opens incredibly slowly in an attempt to remain silent

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Especially Star Wars

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Please told me you ended it with him

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! Literally that night

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Better off

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So much, dating is hard lol I'm just gonna date my N64 now

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

People who want you to sit in the front row. Had a guy for a first date who was adamant about it. I said I'd meet up with him afterwards.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

I hope they filed charges for that hair as well, because that shit is criminal.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

fair point

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

HE ANNOYED YOU DURING STAR WARS? Props for not murdering him.

9 years ago | Likes 347 Dislikes 10

I'm pretty sure that would fall under Justifiable Homicide.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm surprised no one else murdered him.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I really really wanted to.

9 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 2

You should have

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

did he at least buy the tickets and the snacks?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would have punched him in the face for talking during Star Wars...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Murder Him.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Strange you didn't realize he was a tool the first date?

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Nope, my douchebag radar must me broken

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

I recommend heavy artillery, if the radar is broken alderaan the problem

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Let's hope it got calibrated after that last experience lol

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well in that case...

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Hahaha

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It's kinda unfortunate because he obviously put him self under pressure to make a move and just isn't great at that. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was probably totally out of character for him and is kicking himself right now. Hopefully he learns to take it easy the first few dates.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Question @op why didn't you just leave

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would have been rude, he paid so... Uncomfortable free movie it was

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just don't get the point.Who cares how much he paid. If I pay 300 for dinner in a movie but I'm an ass or perv a girl has every right to

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dates 1-4 should never be to the movies

9 years ago | Likes 190 Dislikes 25

If you want to see a person and are kind of interested in the movie, then don't do a movie date. Vice versa = movie date FTW!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Movie first then have dinner, it gives you something to talk about during silence moments

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Went to the movies with a girl as a first date 11 years ago; married for 6 years now with baby #2 underway. I think it went ok.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't make rules for dating...

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My boyfriend n me met on okcupid n went to te movies as a first date that was 10 months ago

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on the people. I've been on a few first dates to the movies and some were awkward, some were good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This guy... Probably took a girl to the movies on dates 1 to 4, and logged on to imgur to write this comment after she ditched him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

(something a girl once told me) Movies are great first dates, you have something to talk about afterwards 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

and if the chemistry is really good you can make out immediately – and i tend to agree ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If you suggest "go bowling instead" you can just shut it. Bowling is the literal worst date you can have.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Aww, I love bowling :( why the hate?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As a first date, y'all are taking turns playing and there is no chance for conversation at all

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey Niko! Its Roman, lets go bowling!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Bowling and let's both bring our kids" = literal worst date

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What else tho? Bowling is group activtiy, hiking (popular in Norway) is a bit creepy for a first date and restaurants are too formal

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You could play putt-putt golf, or shoot some pool.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No golf in my AO, pool, maybe. Eh, fuck it, I'll rather wallow in self-hate then blow my brains out in like 3-5 years or so.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Putt putt isn't like real golf, and even if you're bad at it it's something virtually everyone can do.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know, there isn't any here.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I respectfully disagree. I really liked going to the movies as a 1st date, followed dinner. It gave both a subject to talk about, and 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 7

I disagree with your disagree, no talking with a movie and you shouldn't have a meal on your first date. Try something fun like go karts.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Curious, why do you think you shouldn't have a meal on a first date?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Let me clarify, dinner is ok but not if you're eating with your hands like burgers or pizza.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit! *followed by dinner*

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

In that order it can be nice. But most people do dinner first. That's not good.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

even in that order, if things get awkward you might be setting yourself up for a 4 hour cringefest or the movie might kill the mood

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You should have stuff to to talk about besides a movie you just sat through

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

While true, it helps to start with a safe topic to try somebody out before you launch into hopes, dreams and will we raise the kids Jewish.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The opinions about the movie could be enlightening about the other person's personality. Of course, knowing how to behave in a theater helps

9 years ago | Likes 65 Dislikes 3

I agree. My first date with my now husband we did this, thought it was pretty neat.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dinner or drinks is a must though. You can't expect to get to know someone by sitting quietly for two hours

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean do you go on dates with people you haven't been talking to before hand? And also you still do dinner, just after the movie.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Couldnt that be done with discussion with any movie that you have both seen or is this special because youve only just finished watching it?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I would say part of the appeal is it being fresh in your memory and a shared experience. There are plenty of movies I've seen years ago 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And enjoyed, but I couldn't tell you details of the plot.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yup... this is my mo. Comedy followed by drinks, and then maybe dinner and the rest.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

No way. So many things wrong. Sitting with a stranger at a movie, no talking, movie could be bad. Bad move

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

If you are to the point where you never actually pay any attention to the movie then I could see it working

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Worked wonderfully for me so far

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You have been lucky it seems, this strategy is almost universally frowned upon in general for the first few dates

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I've never really dated, so I'm curious. Do people actually go on dates with strangers? Obviously from dating sites, but isn't that 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

you'd be surprised at how popular dating apps are. even if i go out with girls that i've met in other settings like school / work / bar, i >

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

still need to find out a lot more about them and get comfortable enough to move on to the next stage

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

a minority? Do people just ask others out without any idea who they are or what their interests/ values/ whatever are? Seems like a burden.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I ask women out all the time. I guess I grew up in a different generation where it's not scary to talk to people

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

This is how we did it in the olden days.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Totally agree! I didn't go on a movie date with my girlfriend until after we were married.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

That just seems strange to me. Can I ask why?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plenty of girls have been on dinner/movie dates and they always seemed awkward to me, just sitting in silence for a few hours. Instead (1)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

we'd always do something more involved like hiking/exploring state parks, bowling, puzzles & wine, cooking with each other etc. Basically(2)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

we would always try to do something/go somewhere one or both of us have never done/been to keep the dates exciting and different. (3/3)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I never put a rule out like that... best first date I ever had was dinner at her place and a movie in pj's. 10 mins into the movie, no pjs.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 8

You were at her place watching a movie, you did not go to the movies

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

Also if you brought pjs to a "date" then it wasn't really a date.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What's your point though

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

If you're having dinner at a girls place, she wants to fuck, end of story.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pizza and fuck

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Obviously. :) I guess my point was... don't put out rules like "no movies on dates 1-4". A movie might be EXACTLY what she wants.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But I'm boring if I'm forced to talk.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

That's why you have the movie to talk about.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Go to a museum, talk about art.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Where should they be to then?

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Coffee, Fun day out, Lunch and Dinner.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A remote patch of forest off the highway. You are free to talk, but if you want to end it, just whisper "they'd never find a body out here"

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Movies are bad ideas for first few dates because dates are for getting to know someone. Can't do that in the cinema.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Strip club, sometimes they even have food there, so its like a 2 in 1 date

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anywhere to hold a conversation. Museum, coffee house, restaurant, park, bar, etc.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not the movies, jeeze

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dinner, park, museum, basically places you can talk and share opinions and interests

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

What if you get dinner post-movie and chat/

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 6

That's still a lot of time not getting to know each other

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Also if the movie sucks you both have to sit through it then pretend like it didn't just suck the life out of you afterwards

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dinner, drinks, walk at a park. Movies don't let you get to know the other person.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

What if you go get dinner post-movie and chat?

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

It would probably depend on the person you're taking on a date. Everyone's different just have to find there interests

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Get creative, nothing says lazy more then a movie.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

What if both of them expressed interest for rogue one during first date?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess that's ok, if she really wanted to see it, then yes. First dates aren't my specialty but I like to get more creative.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anywhere that talking is appropriate

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I just wanted to play my 64 in my onesie

9 years ago | Likes 47 Dislikes 2

If you know the person likes video games an old fashioned arcade is always fun! Or bowling.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell, that would be a great date. Too bad all the crazies make you have to be so cautious for the first few until you figure each other out

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Exactly!

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I mean, i got Mario Kart if you think you can handle me. Even have the SNES version too, if you wanna be suicidal about it.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Next time just stay home by yourself then!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are bars tgat do this minus the oneie.... Probably plus clothes though.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Damn, naked gaming is second best to onesie gaming

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

anywhere you can talk....only retards conversate in a cinema

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

What if you get dinner post-movie?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 4

it's still 2 hours of just sitting next to each other and not speking before the dinner...its kinda weird...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just have dinner? If you can't talk on a first date that speaks volumes about your Chemistry.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only retards use the word conversate

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 9

Dinner, mini golf, gun range, museums, general fun shit

9 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 4

I'm super tired, I read it as range, museums, funerals... Lol I thought, damn that's intense for a first date.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's a good list, I'm gonna use that

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Wouldn't movies constitute general fun shit?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My mind mixed fun and general into funeral and I was very confused.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Omg that would be really awkward as a first date. "Wanna go to my GMA's funeral with me??"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

...gun range?

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Oh yea. Soooo many girls haven't either been to one or as a first date.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Yes, it's fun and you can figure out where they stand on it, sort of a beginning "do our views align enough for this go work"

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Sounds fun!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought what it would be like, in my country, to do that. Oooooh boy.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If a guy ever took me to a gun range on date 1-4, there would be no date 2-5.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Because you would move right into a committed relationship? You should still do 'date nights' but I get ya

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2
