Health Potion:
3 parts cranberry juice
2 parts Jägermeister
1 part peach schnapps

This cocktail is fruity and slightly medicinal. For bright red coloring choose a filtered cranberry juice. For a darker more viscous appearance (similar to blood) use unfiltered cranberry juice.

Potion of Heroism:
2 parts rye whiskey
1 part St. Germain
1 dash Angostura bitters.

This cocktail takes on a nice amber color depending on the depth of color from the whiskey. The drink is well balanced with whiskey (normally too brash for unaccustomed drinkers) contrasting the floral liqueur and medicinal bitters. For a smokier, dryer taste try substituting blended scotch for the rye whiskey.

Potion of Invisibility:
1 part vodka
1 part Malibu coconut rum
1 part Midori melon liqueur.

Be careful with this potent cocktail. It’s the sweetest cocktail on the list and meant to be taken as a shot. It’s tasty, but very sweet and thus hides its alcohol content very well. Its coloring is the most interesting of those on this list. If the drink is too sweet for your taste then increase the vodka to 2 parts.

I'm allergic to cranberry, those health potions are cruel :'(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I'd love to see footage of your adventures after consuming those tasty potions. That's gonna be one funny ass raid.

Both literally and figuratively.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And this has given me an idea for an event at a convention. Make a live session more fun by getting the players hammered!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can't handle my potions traveler!

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

My potions are too strong for you traveler. You should find a potion seller who sells weaker potions

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

OMG! CRAFTY!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is an outstanding idea!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I added pearl dust to my potions and it looks a lot like Vinci. It swirls and looks pretty magical

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Come up with some yummy potions with Viniq. Make that alcohol look magical.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's actually a great idea.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Then post them.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I plan on making a new batch every month... assuming my D&D group enjoys the fluff.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Off to make these! Thanks OP

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Turns out if you drink to many health potions you die ????

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Start a business with this....and then take all of my money.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dude, these are so fuckin cool. Now I really wanna give these a go and play dnd...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm really happy for how it all turned out!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The best way to great health is potion control.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Welp. Now I've got an idea for a game mechanic in my D&D game.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That first one is just one liquor away from my favorite drink. Poison Apple: 2 parts Jaeger, 1 part sour apple schnapps, 3 parts cranberry.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are these meant to be generic or specific potions regarding to their uses? Like, is that a general healing potion or a greater one? 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Just a general one. I want to start simple and make a new set of cocktails for my group every month.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Ah okay. Thanks for explaining.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2d4+2?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't know if you intended to be too specific so I thought I'd just ask first. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not yet! But I will. I was mostly working off a color theme this time for the lighting effect.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The health potion is fruity and mixed with a medicinal, herbal liqueur. 2/4

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not this time. Mostly wanted the colors to be dramatic for the lighting effect. But there was some thought in the recipe 1/4

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And the potion of invisibility is basically nothing but alcohol and in sufficient quantity will make you forget you have a face. 4/4

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The potion of heroism is whiskey based and kept golden (to represent courage). 3/4

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I want a DM like you. Not because I drink (I don't) but because you make cool shit.

9 years ago | Likes 146 Dislikes 1

Not a DM! Just a player, but wanted to do something nice for everyone!

9 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

You are the real MVP.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Play with me

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well then, as a DM I want players like you!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a dm I would give you a magic item for creativity. I'm trying to teach my party of first timers that stupid fun stuff is why we play

9 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Haha! Its more about character fluff for me! I kinda go overboard with make stuff for D&D. My first project was an in character journal. 1/3

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No. Then they would assume the DM can be bought and it would all be about who gets the coolest magic item from you, instead of the game.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Well, you don't keep giving them every time, of course.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What @drangir said. Cool stuff works once, just like the rule of cool gives players inspiration. It's about getting people involved and 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Inspiration dice*

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You give a treat to a dog a few times during training until it learns a trick, then no

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And my second big project was a stylized spell book that gave clues to my party that my character was actually lying about his identify 3/3

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What about awarding inspiration to the party if someone does something that benefits the whole party?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/2 interested in making interesting character traits instead of murder hobos. Same reason I turned the guitarist from Mad Max into a bard

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It ended up being something like 90 pages just for the Lost Mines campaign. And included entries about my characters dreams/motivations. 2/3
