We sent our family cat across the rainbow bridge a few weeks back. We miss the pitter patter at 8pm when he used to scoot around the couch and smooch with whoever had the chaise lounge seat.
My corgis are both 13. On top of that, one has DM and is getting weak in the front, so I'm really scared we don't have a lot of time left with her. I was not ready to see this image and the feels are hitting hard ðŸ˜
Mine just passed the rainbow Bridge yesterday. I was cooking later that night and spilled some food and on reactional habit I called for him. It was 2 seconds after when I didn't hear his frantic shuffle was when I remembered. It feels empty here right now.
I know a fish is so far from a dog, but we just lost our betta, and he was the most amazing fish I have ever seen. It was impossible to just watch him, because the second he saw you, he'd come right up and stare at your face and dance back and forth to try to play with you. His tank was by my partner's mirror, and he'd watch him put on makeup... even when he was in active organ failure, when he saw I came to visit, he got himself out of the corner to come dance by the glass one last time. 1/2
We got him from a tiny cup at a discount store where all the other fish were sitting there dying. He stared straight at my partner and got up as he passed by, looking so excited we just had to take him home... I said no, because we didn't have a tank set up, and I'm so glad my partner convinced me. Even though it hurts so much to say goodbye, I feel so lucky we got to live with him here. He was so playful.. We're gonna miss him a lot. I hope he gets to explore his next life with as much joy. 2/2
My boy, Falcor, passed away in February…after 8 months of battling leukemia. October has been hard because this time last year the veterinary oncologist had great news, the chemo had beaten everything back…but, soon, it all came back and he was gone 4 months later.
Thank you for posting this…I think about him everyday…this lets me know I’m not the only one
We have kept the back porch light on since my 2 dogs passed. That was over 10 years ago. I have to believe that we will all be reunited with our fur babies at some pt
I'm always reminded of an old post years back about someone who said they could do no wrong, because they didn't want to disappoint the greatest friend waiting for them
Sorry ya’ll it’s been an incredibly rough week so I am tearing up at work, I get it. It’s very difficult to think someone else or even I could go through this loss. My heart aches and breathes for everyone who’s lost a beloved furry friend and I wish you joy in your future pet endeavors.
Our cat died 7 months ago. There's no physical reminders of her in the house anymore but I still occasionally see her standing in the shadows or hear her meaows and have random vivid dreams where I hug her and can physically feel her fluffs against me.
I am going to miss hearing my dog move at night when she goes. I already miss her when I have to stay away overnight when I sleep. But I have a leash that we used for 100's of miles hiking. I will save that leash from a house fire when she goes.
I feel you! Ours died 4 months ago and there are multiple times I look and expect to find him sitting in certain corners of the living room or in our bed.
I am so so so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you just reading this. I know you loved your kitty as I do mine, so I would like to give you an internet hug!
We had two dogs and one passed. She always had her ears facing forward, didn't pull them against her head much. Our other dog was the opposite. Every time I see him with his ears forward, I think it's her. It's been 9 months =(
My first cat got sick and had an overnight stay, and I got a preview haunting. She's got better, then...fuck cancer. Sometimes, I'm still not sure, but my Murder Twins are an okay cover for any level of haunting.

Condolences. Side note, they should flip this image since most of us read left to right. Also, hugs to you.

Awe, sorry for your loss.

My ride or die kitty died five years ago. I still cry reading posts and comments like this. I have a new kitty I love but I still miss my ride or die.

I empathize with your loss but can you explain why you believe in the rainbow Bridge?

God this and the post hits hard right now. My dog is old and he is really close, you know. Dang it's gonna hurt

My boys are kittens right now, but I know it will come for them one day too. But I'm going to enjoy every second of their lives until then.

Our cat died a year ago, but I sometimes catch myself expecting to see him when I use the can opener.

I've a cat who I said goodbye to 10 yrs ago who occasionally takes a nap on my hip. I can still sometimes feel her weight
Froggie243
It's been 3 years but I can still feel the weight of her paws when she would deliberately walk across me to curl up against my ankle <3

We still have 2 cats left. It took a while to get over having to put down only 2 cups of food instead of 3.
