Let's get this bread.
One of the things I miss the most from my jeep driving job was the Mexican food truck across the street. Best Tacos Al Pastor ive had outside of street food in Ensenada.
I keep having quasi-nightmares about the stupid computer system at work. About things that aren't even part of the system, if i actually stop to analyze them.
Like, goddamn, I already have enough to stress about there, why the fuck are you adding onto it?
I played hookey from church yesterday to rest at home for a bit longer, then bottled and labeled another mead, emailed some paperwork, and did a bit of grocery shopping. I probably missed another cool bird at church this week (last week I saw a Townsend's Solitaire and I was sad I didn't have my camera), but so it goes.
I have two beverages left to bottle before probably putting the hobby on ice for a while, maybe indefinitely--need to save money for emergencies and maybe the sword. I made a Date Wine off a recipe for Table of Gods, a Mesopotamian cookbook in the process of being constructed, and I have my Basswood Mead, made with Basswood honey, aging on American oak, that I will backsweeten with more Basswood honey.
Hahahahaha
Hey look, it's my local dating pool.
I tried Magnesium Glycenate for the first time last night at the suggestion of one of you, and... well, there was a four hour stretch where I didn't wake up at all, which hardly ever happens. So maybe there's something to the suggestion, thank you.
Me, when I wake up at night still alive.
I mean, katanas are probably not the best zombie-slaying weapon, but that fit should otherwise work.
Okay, so this was a cool fun fact to learn.
This is too beautiful to eat.
The main tenants of Zororasterianism
Another cool fun fact.
Warbling Vireo was recently split into two species: the Eastern and Western Warbling-vireos.
Allllll the time.

#44 right, but the Hawaiian word (not pidgin) "Wiki" has been around 'forever'; long, long before airport shuttles or the interwebs.
DonkeyGoat
#1 Yeah, but they packed it in a jif.

#18 Naginata would be your better bet. Smooth blade for beheading, no barbs to inhibit retraction from a stab (into dry tissue), and long enough to keep out of arm's reach. IMHO.

Maybe a billhook. Trim a branch, trim a neck...
CodyBurkett
Yeah, that was my thought.

#46 when my ferret was still around I'd occasionally give him the ol' "Sir. SIR." when he was being stupid/dangerous
Totallyscrewedinaustin
#1 saw this in random yesterday and it made me think of you!

#15 When someone makes a patently stupid, racist or homophobic comment to get a rise from me, I just say OK and ignore them. Amazing how often that enrages them.

#46 I don't define myself with my hatred of the maggots, it's more of an accessory
CuileannDhu
#46 Yes, whenever my dog misbehaves I act like an exasperated retail worker trying to deal with an unruly customer. "Sir, excuse me. Sir! You can't just eat the food that's sitting on the counter!"

#34 One of the surgeons where I work makes penises out of vulvas! I’ve seen a couple of pictures and he does a really good job too.

#8 The only reason French speakers remember Dagobert is because of the nursery rhyme "Le bon roi Dagobert a mis ses culottes à l'envers" (the good king Dagobert put his pants backwards)
SaganIsMyLordAndSavior
#10 that is, without question, at like the tippy top of my worst fears. Crowning jewel, if you will.

#28 she went from pixie cut 90’s chic to ‘oh no! My genes’ very round like her mother. And of course wasn’t very interesting or funny to begin with, but at 15 that’s not what the hormones are focusing on.

#25 was the lizard ok?
IUpvoteFuturama
Yes
SirSage
Lizard may be okay. Just like it may have been injested
itdoesntmatternoneofthismatters
Schrodinger's lizard.
SirSage
Stay in your fucking lane, autocorrect. Ingested, fuck.

"So don't use it, then. It whispers in your ear, evil-like, so don't listen. Good grief. None of you can tell me you can contain yourselves around a little gold ring?"
'They're sayin' it's evil, Esme. You know what evil's like,' Nanny Ogg said knowingly.
"Evil? O'course I know what evil's like. What it don't know is that I'm worse."

heck YES! also, why didn't Granny just borrow an Eagle?!
itdoesntmatternoneofthismatters
Um, she does have a broom. It just needs a running start.
AlmostCertainlyNotPickles
Too smart for her to Borrow. They don't like anyone in their heads but themselves, just like her.
BarbecueSteve
Also they're implied to be Maiar, which are kinda sorta angels. If you look sideways at them. So are Gandalf and Saruman!
theobituator
Hey @OP, what yeast do you use for your mead?
CodyBurkett
I like using the M05 from Mangrove Jack's and also Lavelin EC-1118.

I'm a Lalvin D-47 guy myself. High attenuation, and very flavour transparent. I use it for cider, and my rum washes for the still. Never done me wrong.
Then again, I'm not looking for it to add anything to the flavour of what I'm doing.
Do you need to add yeast nutrient? I've heard mead can be hard to start/finish.
Scritch the Pippen for me!
CodyBurkett
Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't, but usually that fermentation catches quickly.
