What parent of the year is just videoing their cat drawing their claws in a baby like this, jesus

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 13

Those are kneading claws not attack claws, and good cats like mine put claws away as soon as they touch a person

If you're afraid of cats clawing babies and children you can get caps to go on their nails. Complelety harmless :)

Do cats and dogs ever think baby humans are cute?

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

They certainly seem to treat them different my husky absolutely loves kids and is extremely gentle with them then rough houses with me

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

And other adults she's a ball of fur energy and sass but when there's a kid she becomes docile gentle and slightly less sassy

No.

Yes.

My anxiety would go into overdrive seeing those claws next to that babies face. Maybe it's declawed. Anyways how Ya been CTHU?

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 25

No never declaw

8 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 7

Yeah, we got a cat when I was 14 or so, and I begged my parents not to declaw after reading about it online.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Just keep em clipped. Gotta get em while they are sleepy

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I had to basically scream at a german friend of mine not to declaw their cat, they were pretty convinced after I told them the detriments.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

So you mean we should declaw? Never dont dubble negatives

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 14

Thats probably not intended as a double negative, sentence just lacks a comma after "No".

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why no declaw? Ask me up, I'm a vet tech. I have participated in the surgery, and know why it's a bad idea.

I really cannot parse this comment

Agreed. Basically mutilation. Higher risk for arthritis and behavioral problems. Can’t release stress through scratching and play time.

8 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

BASICALLY mutilation? there's nothing BASICALLY about it. you're cutting the first joint off of each toe!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think people understand what I mean and can clearly get I’m 100% against declawing a cat. Yes, it’s mutilation if that’s what you’re after

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

-But hey I don’t want my cats scratching up stuff. -Then buy a scratching post or don’t get a cat. Not hard.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I clip my cats nails and gave her a scratching post on each floor. She never scratches anything other than what she is supposed to.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You want baby to get pink eye. Cause that’s how they get pink eye.

Worse things for babys and pregnant women to catch from cat feces other than pink eye. Parasites and other bloodborne pathogens.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hence the reason doctors advise against pregnant women cleaning litter boxes.

Apparently a huge section of the population is infected with cat scratch fever (toxoplasmosis) and the symptoms are subtle and crazy.

60 million Americans. But hey, down vote easily verifiable facts.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Imgur was built on cute cat pictures. The number people who will brush this aside because of a nimble eared mammal is appalling.
