I completed my first full year as a registered nurse .

You deserve the upvote just for being a nurse. And thanks you for not killing anyone... keep the streak alive!

Pro tip: Get professional liability insurance. Better to have and not need than need and not have.

That's pretty important. Well done.

I feel like by saying this, you've violated a universal nursing law...like saying it is a "quiet" shift. May the odds be ever in your favor.

Yay! Proud of my fellow nurse!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Congrats, but that will change.

There's always next year

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don’t they call the period of time where a lot of medical students graduate and get hired at hospitals killing season?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

July, yes.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm in my second semester of school, I can't wait!!!!!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Just know that it's tough as hell. Fulfilling, but tough.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Starting nursing school in 10 days....I also hope to avoid killing people! You go you!

“In the hospital” good job @OP! Congrats on the nurse life!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 years now and no deaths! Not for lack of trying, lol

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As a nurse and RT I have.... maybe. It’s a matter of when, not if.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you working in a hospital? My mom is and she cant handle the stress anymore. she is handling at least 30 sick paitents wh no help.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Med/surg?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She is a Nurse, tells me there is a lot paperwork and sick paitents with minimum help because the CEO is trying to make more $..BS right?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I just meant is she a nurse on a med/surg floor. I'm a nurse, but in critical care, which means fewer patients

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

tnx for your work!)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats! I hopefully graduate from ADN in May.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Congrats to you as well!(:

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Congrats on making it through school this far! Nursing school is crazy hard, but worth it (:

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you have NAs, thank them too. You work as a team to save lives. Good job OP.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is... is that the first test?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me too!! This is exactly me :) well done OP. let’s hope we continue our best practice :)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats and thank you for everything nurses do, I just spent weeks in the hospital and so did my newborn and nurses are the best!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey, Peggy? Yes, I noticed the turtleneck choice in August, and can only assume it's got something to do with that grapefruit you store in

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

your trachea. Let me put your mind at ease: You've killed before.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don’t understand this comment

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a quote from Scrubs. JD thinks it's the first time he's killed someone as a doctor. But they're all caused the death of someone already

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you want you can kill me, also are you an ER/ICU nurse or a regular nurse.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They said med/surg at a very small hospital (so taking care of all kinds) in a previous comment

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Makes sense, it's just from my experience in working at a hospital ER nurses are more likely to deal with paitient death.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Buck up, OP. Hang in there. Keep trying and you'll kill one soon enough.

Are you a sims player?! Which ones?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've played all the Sims but I'm now just playing Sims 4 . The graphics are awesome

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You can die of humiliation but not in the pool...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh no sims 4 to me should have come after 2 in terms of graphics and style. 3 has a lot of glitches and needs mods but I still prefer it.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The problem is not killing patients, it's patients continuously trying to die... Bastards. Congrats OP! What kind of unit do you work on?

8 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

no im not trying to die, just giving my fingers, and forehead, some character

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The struggle is trying not to kill your coworkers

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Med surg. It's a super small rural hospital though so we get a little of everything because there is only one unit

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

That's cool. It must be interesting. The hospital I'm at is pretty subdivided by specialty

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What kind of unit do you work in Sherlock89?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm a resident physician. So every unit basically. We rotate around alot. We cover everything except pediatric units.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but the real test is how many you stop the docs killing

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 5

That's a battle every day

8 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 5

Wife's an RN, I graduate in August. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/B3fKSWUIEAAMTr6.jpg Keep fighting the good fight :)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And it's a battle the opposite way too.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

One day you and @pyroka0 will realize it goes both ways, and we work best as a team.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Oh, and congrats @OP!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

doctor kill more people than anything else. its ridiculous watching them ignore nurses and family members.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 15

In the 1930s people went to hospital expecting to die. Now they expect to love despite not caring for themselves at all.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

due to HIPPA i cannot disclose names and what not but far to frequently we get in 500+ lbs people who are just shocked that their hearts and

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

pt2. livers, lungs, ect ect are shutting down and then get mad at other people. i agree, you need to take care of your health first.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i've seen it too, why can't you fix my massive diabetic comorbidities! *chomping on sweets like their life depended on it.
