8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That was so cute, I'm glad you posted it and I got to know it existed.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I really didn't think he would make it based on first few attempts.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I hope one day i get to see them. Talk about good clean fun!

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I love that they kept encouraging him to keep going instead of just taking over and assisting it in. Teaching a damn good lesson.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Kid shot the height first time, but was shooting higher than he's used to. Great form, and he knew to get closer. Amazing

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They were all legitimately happy for him. Such kind people.

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I went to a globetrotter game when I was young. I fucking loved it these guys are the best

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The best part is that they respected the kid enough to not help him.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

He peaked

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What a great bunch of guys.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kid has some nice dance moves.

8 years ago | Likes 625 Dislikes 5

Should've been working on that shot

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 5

Booo

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

But if you make the shot and can't do the dance, then what?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The dancing parts is easy to fake… Just move your hips and raise your hands...now shake that ass...now your dancing!!!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're some of the best people on this earth.

8 years ago | Likes 1521 Dislikes 9

You mean... The GLOBE?! Zing.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I worked with them when they came to my old work in California. I ran their scorekeeping console. They're all super nice and a ton of fun.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

They're basically the three stooges, only they're 8 gigantic black men.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

Who are very dexterous with their hands and feet. Put a basketball in those hands and watch out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If Dolly Parton and the Globetrotters ever teamed up, man...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I love Dolly Parton, but why that combination?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You saying she's not also in the best people on Earth category?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got a signed jersey from the team and it's one of my cooler possessions

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

I thought that read “colored” possessions...

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Late 70's I got Meadowlark Lemon & Curly Neils autograph. Wish I had a jersey. Cool !

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I remember Meadowlark & Curly!! Don't be sad - I wish I had their autographs!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This feels like inception IRL. A circle somewhere was just completed.

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why don't any of the trotters play professionally?

8 years ago | Likes 398 Dislikes 11

Short answer: they're awesome, but different skill set

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Totally different skillset

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Too talented probably

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Looks to me like being a Globetrotter is waaay more fun!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Simple answer: they are exceptionally talented, hard-working and gifted players. Just not nearly good enough for the NBA.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It's just another non-NBA option. Some go to Europe, some do this. They all have to play real ball, though. They scrimmage top NCAA teams.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Because they can talk trash, they can handle the ball, but at the end of the day are they funky enough to be a globe trotter?

8 years ago | Likes 51 Dislikes 1

JPII was a member, even!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was a spirited player !

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Several have Wilt Chamberlain was a globetrotter for example

8 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 1

Chamberlain did for years before NBA

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Because the NBA is scripted, duh

8 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 5

Best answer

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

cle vs gs round 4? There's lebron and kyrie drama right now...gonna be interesting.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have wondered the same thing but have been too lazy to look it up.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I think the real question is why dont more pros quit to be a globe trotter

8 years ago | Likes 377 Dislikes 2

the average salary for an active-roster player in the NBA is $6.3 million.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're not funky enough.

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

askin the real questions

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Cuz they ain't good enough.

8 years ago | Likes 183 Dislikes 2

They could be Generals.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

I think it's fair to say that while they're still extraordinarily skilled, NBA players have a much wider skill set.

8 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 5

One might argue that the juggling and clowning they do are just as broad a skill set, just an entirely different one.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

I wouldn't argue against that.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

its not about that. Playing for the trotters is playing to entertain, for show, for fun. NBA is competition. Expectations are different

8 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 4

They play real bball. It's like WWE vs boxing. WWE is the real sport, boxing is scripted and fake

8 years ago | Likes 148 Dislikes 12

8 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 2

Oh, like the news? :o

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 29

Dayum son

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 4

Hot damn my snarky sarcasm backfired XD

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I am starting to believe this after the last manny paquaio fight.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Playing for the globe trotters is professional all though it is theater showmanship rather than competitive sport.

8 years ago | Likes 541 Dislikes 1

SHIT. Sorry! I replied to the wrong person!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All though?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's kinda like "if you're such a good break dancer, why don't you ballroom dance professionally?" Absolutely 2 diff things.

8 years ago | Likes 98 Dislikes 6

Logically no. It's more like the street performers who are amazing at dribbling and controlling a soccer ball. Yet, when on the field their

8 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 6

control doesn't make up for all the other skills that are needed.

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

Or maybe they love making the world a happier place, and they knew how to play basketball, so they put the two together.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

The NBA and even some Euro leagues are quite hard to play for. The $ is probably less to play for HGT than overseas, but closer to family.

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

The Globetrotters are notorious cheaters. NBA doesnt have time for throwing feathers at the refs. Plus ball under the shirt is illegal.

8 years ago | Likes 180 Dislikes 20

They arnt cheaters they're just all about tricks and showmanship so things like travel and double dribble get overlooked

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I don't think that makes them cheaters

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THEY HAVE A BALL ON A STRING!!!! They have been known too pull down the opposing teams shorts.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0
