Maybe Heinz Edelmann with the Yellow Submarine (1968) from the Beatles?

Terry Gilliam? http://terrygilliamweb.com/

That's actually an interesting left field suggestion! I am a Gilliam superfan and yes, now you mention it, there is some of that in the Time Bandits iconography. Probably not the original source of this style though.

That's just the first thing the faucet makes me think of. It looks like a foot or butt should be popping out of that post haste!

"Jankel citesĀ Piet MondrianĀ as inspiration for the visual." https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accidents_Will_Happen

Yeah, I already identified Mondrian and Lichtenstein easily as antecedents, but that is not the answer I am looking for.

I'm looking for an artist or designer who _synthesised_ all the elements here; the kineticism, the colour, graph paper motif, diagrammatic style. I believe there are people who did it, but I can't recall their names. Memphis and Du Pasquier were also obvious visual references but they don't synthesise ALL the elements.
